PoliticsRe: Gej's Incompetence Will Kill Us All If We Are Not Careful. by Symphony007: 3:58pm On Aug 10, 2014
brownlord: Please take your stupidity else where, i don't care if it's jonathan's father.

is tukur urhobo man or buddhist? please i'm done with this.
of course you're done. You're out of ammo! You started a war could'nt win. Good riddance!!
PoliticsRe: Gej's Incompetence Will Kill Us All If We Are Not Careful. by Symphony007: 3:55pm On Aug 10, 2014
brownlord: Mr man, the people of Northern Nigeria are nigerians and should be listen to, if they think bh should not be eradicated and that security men are killing them unjustly there is nothing much the president can do, only if you can remember how bh use to bomb churches every sunday and no one muslim or northern elder deem it fit to condemn the act, blaming GEJ for everything is not right, remember he's also from the minority and need to watch his back
mrs womann using your logic, why has'nt denzani allison maduake been sacked? All the people calling for her sack, are'nt they nigerians too? So the president listens to the chatter he wants and blocks out the once he does'nt? Interesting!!
PoliticsRe: Gej's Incompetence Will Kill Us All If We Are Not Careful. by Symphony007: 3:49pm On Aug 10, 2014
brownlord: Oga please shut up, you've been on this forum where even learned people and youth who are suppose to be good examples accuse GEJ of carrying out an igbo agenda to eliminate northerners and muslims, i heard people protested yesterday about bh, they just woke up from their slumber? if northerners and muslim leaders including jonathans opposition had condemned bh act from the beginning we won't be where we are today, did you hear a general accuse the police of killing bh leader as if the guy was a saint. If Americans decide to be killing themselves and setting bomb, and the locals choose to shield them, there is nothing much obama can do, GEJ is a democratic elected president, and in democracy power belongs to the people, and if the people feels GEJ has abused the power given to him, he stand to be impeached through the house. So the man must also listen to the people while carrying out his duties, take your blames to northern elders and people of northern nigeria who thought boko haram was helping them fight an infidel
you sound imbecilical. Were'nt you the first person to say "northern leaders" forced the removal of ihejirika, now you're backtracking. "If the opposition had condemned boko haram"... Is it not goodlucks buddies tukur that said boko haram are fighting a "just war". Did the president or any member of his govt come out to condemn that? Something is wrong with you and it's beyond confusion.
PoliticsRe: Gej's Incompetence Will Kill Us All If We Are Not Careful. by Symphony007: 3:35pm On Aug 10, 2014
atlwireles: Between you and brownlord, who is making ridiculous excuse? So the constant security breach within the army front lines, coming mostly from enlisted men are because of the person with the last word on appointment?
when ihejirika was chief of army staff was there this level of indiscipline in the army? He did his job diligently but to appease his northern interest and ensure his political fortunes he push his out and installed this incompetent charlatan called minimah. Look at how everything is crumbling and he has'nt as much as put him on probation. Keep blaming others for the obvious failures of this president.
PoliticsRe: Gej's Incompetence Will Kill Us All If We Are Not Careful. by Symphony007: 3:30pm On Aug 10, 2014
brownlord: No, but the commander on chief is not a military dictator, but a civilian and as such has limit he can exercise his power.
you can grasp for straws all you want but the fact remains goodluck jonathan is the only person with the power to sack azubuike ihejirika and he did it!! He put politics and northern appeasement over national security. Ihejirika did his job and when he was there their was a semblance of competence, he's out and every thing is falling apart and you're here making shambolic excuses!!
PoliticsRe: Gej's Incompetence Will Kill Us All If We Are Not Careful. by Symphony007: 3:09pm On Aug 10, 2014
brownlord: do you have Arewa and northern elders forum in cameroon? do you hear amnesty international and apc accusing the army of genocide in cameroon, do you have military who pledge their loyalty to allah instead of the govt and country thereby giving information to enemies, or you think the cameroonian army can operate if they have moles and saboteurs among the troops. Ihejirika was dealing with the bastards, before borno elders in conjunction with amnesty international ensure the man was removed and even accused him of genocide.

"A house be divided against itself, cannot stand."
amnesty international, northern elders, APC, etc... Are they the commander on chief of the nigerian armed forces who has the final say on military appointments? Don't make that utterly ridiculous excuse again.

indeed. You can see the president's official photograph on the cupboard. That's one of aso rock state rooms. Can anyone see those ivory horse on the right? Look at the grotesque opulence.

As for the president not wearing shoes, I see nothing wrong with it, he should feel as comfortable as he wants in private while conducting buisness. John f. Kennedy used to hold meetings with his adviser while naked in a bath tub in the white house.
PoliticsRe: Leadership Failure: I Saw "74 Missed Calls"&20 Text Mgs On My Phone This Morning by Symphony007: 8:36am On Aug 08, 2014
The president has not even said anything on this monumental threat to his nation, he has not apologised to the country for his government's incompetence and laziness. All we hear from is one slowpoke called oyebuchi chukwu. Mali a country that in the last year has experience multiple coups, ouster of government, a terrorist insurgency, terrorist siezing the northern part of it's territory and declaring the state of azaward, yet it was still able to protect it's citizens from a disease ravaging it's neighbors. Meanwhile the "giant of africa" could'nt protect it's citizens from a disease ravaging countries miles and leagues away.
PoliticsRe: Ebola Virus: Liberia Apologises To Nigeria by Symphony007: 8:27am On Aug 08, 2014
I am so angry!!! Infact, I am livid!! This horrid affliction broke out in guinea, spread to liberia and sierra leone through porous borders. Their neighbors took note and secured themselves. Countries like ivory coast, ghana, mali, senegal, togo, etc that are closer to these countries have'nt reported a single case because of their efficency. It is nigeria!! Miles away that is now running pillar to post to contain this virus. Shame on our government. Incompetency, laziness and aloofness will be our waterloo.
PoliticsRe: Russia Bans Food Imports From EU And U.S. In Retaliation To Western Sanctions by Symphony007: 5:53pm On Aug 07, 2014
The U.S is crushing russian banks, diminishing it's currency, baring essential exports and trade deals and in response russia bans dairy and poultry. I'm sure the u.s economy is in crisis and obama is shaking in his boots because one farmer in idaho won't be able to export his produce to russia...russia please stop embarrasing yourselves. Vladimir should know that all the euphoria his people feel over the annexation of crimea will fizzle when hunger and unemployment sets in.

hansibone: and which alternative routes will the airline take.... with regards to investment... do you think the us and eu dont have investment in russia?

both parties will suffer... but the funny thing is this 3rd world countries will be the playing fields for these world powers...

us and eu are just barking.... they cant bite and will never bite russia.....
last I checked russia is bordered to the east by the pacific, the south by china, mongolia, kazastan, etc there is ample flight part. U.S investment in russia is insignificant compared to the billions of stolen dollars russian oligarchs starch in u.s and EU banks. In a few hours all those accounts can be frozen, all the houses, malls, etc russiand own in london, new york, paris, etc as a store of value, all the defence contracts russia has with france and the u.k. You don't know what is at stake so why are you debating me? If russsia cuts gas to europe, europe seek alternative, though it won't be enough, they will survive afterall european cities use nuclear power to generate electricity meanwhile russia whoes income is 90% depended on energy will go broke and the people will take to the streets.

50calibre: Look bro you're a walking zombie, brainwashed beyond remedy. I'm really sorry for you because it seems you've pledged a lifetime of slavery to the west (I've observed your comments for a long time). Is that white man in your profile, your slave master?

Anyway you should find out how much worth of agricultural produce Russia imports from the EU and US before talking nonsense. Find out the negative effects it will have on European agriculture (especially that of puppets countries like Poland) and the positive effects it will have on Russia's domestic agriculture.

Besides, this is the first batch of sanctions, a ban on all EU and US flights crossing Russian airspace is already being contemplated. Surely I don't need to start spelling out to you what that means.

Russia will suffer, and so will the EU and US
why would a grown up with presumably a brain see the need to rain insults on someone just to make a point. It's utterly sad and pathetic.

Leaving that aside. The u.s will not suffer an inch by russia banning it's agric export. Agriculture one of the least contributors to the u.s economy. The people it would have hurt is the EU but there is always new markets to channel their products. If russia dares banning flights, it will affect them more as airlines will find new routes passed russia but in retaliation, the city of london will freeze all russian investments of which a majority belongs to putin and his oligarch friends. Russia will loose big time if it exastubates this crisis. SIMPLE! I don't need to a a lover of the west to disapprove of a rouge, undemocratic nation.

To all the deluded russian loving nairalanders, you are now clamouring for the drug and cheering a drug made in the u.s, developed with funding from the u.s defense department. Why has'nt russia proffered any solution? Have they even sent a single message of condolence to the affected countries? NO! After you'll open your gutter mouths to rant about the "WEST" as the source of all your problems.
PoliticsRe: US Whistleblower : Russia Extends Edward Snowden's Asylum By 3 Years by Symphony007: 2:30pm On Aug 07, 2014
U.s and EU sanctions have driven the russian rubble to it's lowest in history, their economy is in free fall, banks are contracting, no travel list is growing,etc...and russia responds by banning imports of fish, meat and milk from the U.S. What a pathetic country. Ant thinking it's a dinosaur.

desgiezd: Even where there are fundamental human rights, does it mean that there should be no limits?
there are limits. If you commit murder, you loose those rights. If you commit atrocities that affect the state or the well being of other citizens you loose those rights. Let the government prove how a consexual relationship among two adults of sound mind is a threat to the state or other citizens.

datbay: Meaning what?
meaning the law is illegal and will not go into effect. And if our supreme court justices are professionals do their job without personal beliefs ours too will be struck down. No anti gay law will withstand constitutional muster in a country that protects fundamental human rights and individual freedoms.
Foreign AffairsRe: BREAKING: Uganda Supreme Court Strike Down Anti-gay Law. by Symphony007(op): 11:59am On Aug 01, 2014
It gives me great joy that there are still countries in africa with a judiciary that does it job without sentiments or personal feelings. No country on earth can have a constitution which protects fundamental human rights then go ahead to criminalize freedom of expression. It is ridiculous and no judiciary will stand for that. Nigeria should take note. Our supreme court must strike down ours if it gets to their desk. If our governments wants it's anti gay law to stand, then it should do a constitutional amendment were fundamental human rights is removed then a law like that can stand. But you can't claim to protect human rights and put people in jail for living their lives because you don't like how they do it. It's a mockery of constitutional democracy. You can't eat your cake and have it.
Foreign AffairsBREAKING: Uganda Supreme Court Strike Down Anti-gay Law. by Symphony007(op):
A Ugandan court on Friday invalidated an anti-gay bill signed into law earlier this year, saying it was illegally passed and is therefore unconstitutional.

The panel of five judges on the East African country's Constitutional Court said the speaker of parliament acted illegally when she allowed a vote on the measure despite at least three objections over lack of a quorum.

"The speaker was obliged to ensure that there was quorum," the court said in its ruling. "We come to the conclusion that she acted illegally."

The ruling was made before a courtroom packed with Ugandans opposing or supporting the measure. Activists erupted in loud cheers after the court ruled the law is now "null and void."

Ugandan lawyer Ladislaus Rwakafuuzi, an attorney for the activists, said the ruling "upholds the rule of law and constitutionalism in Uganda."

Kosiya Kasibayo, a state attorney, said a decision had not been made on whether to appeal the ruling in the Supreme Court.

The anti-gay measure provided for jail terms of up to life for those convicted of engaging in gay sex. It also allowed lengthy jail terms for those convicted of the offenses of "attempted homosexuality" as well as "promotion of homosexuality."

Although the legislation has wide support in Uganda, it has been condemned in the West and rights groups have described it as draconian. The U.S., which wants the law repealed, has withheld or redirected funding to some Ugandan institutions accused of involvement in rights abuses.

The law was passed by lawmakers in December and enacted in February by Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, who said he wanted to deter Western groups from promoting homosexuality among African children.
