(My Dad RIP. When I was leaving the village going to Lagos for the first time)

Remember any so call friends of yours, in that Lagos that you are going to, that says that you are stingy just because you are an Ijebu man are thief. Because if they are not trying to steal from you how would they have known that you are stingy. Never forget that. Classic lol

dasparrow: Our mothers and grandmothers were mostly miserable in their marriages. Many of them could not leave because they could not afford to raise all the battalion of kids they brought into the world all by themselves. This is fast changing now because more women are flying high in their careers and can afford to take care of their children all by themselves if the need arises. So, women do not have to put up with cheating husbands anymore if they don't want to.

Any man who cannot stay in a monogamous relationship should have no business getting married. I don't know why the sexual urge of the average Nigerian/African bred man is like that of a horse on Viagra. This is why HIV/AIDS almost finished Africans back then because African men sleep around like dogs on heat. With Ebola around, this is not the time to sleep around. It is time African bred men begin to have some self control where sex is concerned. There is more to life than sex. Men from other racial groups are advancing their societies while the African male is only good at fvcking. Then we wonder why our continent Africa is the way it is.
Women dont even need a man any more to have a baby here in the US. I know of two women that brought their kids into this world without having slept with any man. Their kids just look perfect to me as any other kids. All it cost them to buy the sperm was $250 plus other medical cost. By the way these are two black women,

Some of those fees are more than what you might pay to attend some University in US in a year. I am talking including room, food and tuition. In fact I am pretty sure University of South Carolina cost about $15000 to send a child per year.

Largas: HMMMMM.... Truth is, most Easterners canvass for GEJ not because he is the best, not becauce of the things you listed up there.
I personally, support GEJ because he has executed many federal projects in the East, than anyother Government since 1967.
APC hasn't given Igbos reasons to vote for them.
So, if GEJ has performed well for my region and plans on doing more beyond 2015, why should I ignore him and cast my vote to a party that holds no promise for Easternershuh

The East was so terrible before 2011.
As long as the Eastern part is well taken care off, everywhere else be damm. Question for you are you a Nigerian first that just happen to come from the East or are you a Easterner first that just happen to be in Nigeria.

shizzle11: yorjba s keep rejoicing and celebrating whenever Igbo are killed in the north, why?? ask yourself the question, if not for sheer evil and hatred, instead of joining Igbo to tackle those who are hell bent on destabilizing the country. When we speak up against them instead of at least Yoruba to mind their business if they won't support, they keep jeering at us and making mockery of the situation, yet you expect people you celebrate their calamity to be happy with you.

Anyways, you sound a little more reasonable than your fellow Yoruba on naira land, that's why I tried to keep this conversation civil, there are many good Yorubas outside NL who are my friends, so sometimes I don't take the gibberish her very seriously, sometimes both sides just wanna flex muscle, many times we do it for fun. Well I'm for a peaceful Nigeria where everyone is treated fairly and equally and not for some idiots to keep disturbing the peace of the country with their born yo rule mentality while some others just sit back and stoke their ego.

Nuff said, I'm out!
Do you know that for a fact. Stop reading too many comic books my friend. Show or proof to me where that actually happened. We all need to get along. We have one country we better come together and save the country or else we will be doomed.

Okay now its time to ban importations of cars to naija
How many times someone has to keep repeating this. Stallion Group or whatever the company calls itself can not produce, assembly or manufacture any car under another company trade mark. Only Hyundai Motors can produce Hyundai cars. Its illegal.

My friend try and google Kia K900 you might change your mind about Hyundai Motor Company. That is a $66,900 car that Mercedes Benz can't even come close to. Just google it you'll see what I am talking about.

bigtt76: I wonder how the press could miss the hype that usually exist when such assembly plants are to be setup in Nigeria undecided #Justaying but I never heard any commissioned so how come these cars are made in Nigeria?
Because there are no plant. There is no chance Hyundai will license some Stallion Group to assemble any car under their brand name. We car companies just don't do that. Joint ventures are common but under strict conditions like Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute being assemble at the same plant in Toledo. it is because Ford owns Mazda.

fun4: www.dailyindependentnig.com/2014/08/made-nigeria-hyundai-cars-hit-market/
Sorry to burst your bubble only Hyundai Motor Company can Make/Assemble cars under their trade mark. Nigeria presently does not have the infrastructures in place to either Manufacture/Assemble cars. Last time I check there are no Hyundai plant in that country. It takes a lot in term of money and time just to establish an assembly plant not to talk of a manufacturing plants. That country is just not there yet. A car assembly plant is just not something you build overnight just anywhere. Just putting up a laser paint room cost $500M dollars.

What Labor laws?. I don't think one exist in that country. I have been trying to google a link to Nigeria Constitution on line. I have yet to come across the constitution yet. I can get the entire US constitution online, but not Nigeria. Nigeria maltreat each other so bad that expecting something different from a foreigner beats me. Slavery is in most Nigrians DNA how else can you explain the hiring of a 9 y/o boys and girls as house help then paying pittance as salary.

ghboy: i don't get one thing! Nigerians with their plenty noise about GDP big, per capita greater etc, does it make the average Nigerian better than the average Ghanaian? this is just a harmless question. with the way Naija oil revenue dwarfs Ghana's revenue from all sectors, im still wondering why majority of Nigerians arent better than the average Ghanaian. plus this is the worst time for Ghanaians but im sure it still betters that of many Nigerians.
I was thinking the same thing. If NIgeria is so great compare to Ghana why are a lot of Nigeriaian student attending schools in Ghana. I personally judge a country well being base on how well that country treats her citizens. I will like someone to tell which of the two countries is better.

NO developed nation of the world can do without Nigeria and China. Period! tongue tongue tongue
Wrong. I used to think along the same line before. Right now the way Americans look at West Africa Ghana and Liberia are more important strategy wise. Liberia because of historically ties between the two countries. Ghana because of their political maturity. Forget about oil that doesn't figure anymore into US calculation. US is going to be net exporter in about 3 yrs.

ceo4eva: President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed former Chairman of the
Peoples Democratic Party, Bamanga Tukur as the 'Ambassador at Large".

This was contained in a statement by the media office of Bamanga Tukur, issued to condemn the recent Kaduna bombing.

The statement read in part, "This is
the office of the Ambassador at Large to the President of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria. An Ambassador-at-Large is an envoy who is assigned special duties by the president.
"The Letter from Mr. President, Dr.
Goodluck appointing Dr. Tukur read in part: 'The President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Bamanga Mohammed Tukur as Ambassador-At-Large'."

Between 1994 and 1995, Tukur served as Minister for Industries.

Association; Chairman of the International Cargo Handling Association; President/Chairman of
the Governing Council of Institute of
Business Development; Member,
Ghana Investors Advisory Council;

Investment of the Republic of Benin in February, 2007; and Member of the Presidential Advisory Council in 2010.

However, Tukur urged Nigerians not
to attach religion to the activities of
Boko Haram.
He added, "Our prayers are with those that lost their lives, wounded and saved from the hands of terrorists.

Our Country is going through some
challenges, the newly appointed Ambassador at Large, Dr. Bamanga Tukur condemned in its entirety the
killings of innocent lives and attacked on political and religious leaders in the country.
"There is no religion that support or incite their followers to such barbaric acts within any community or nation.

Our prayers goes to the families of
the bereaves and thank God for his mercies and protections on the lives
of former Head of States General
Muhammadu Buhari and Sheikh
Dahiru Bauchi amongst others.
"Our heart goes to those that were
injured and maimed by the twin bombings in this Holy Month of
Ramadan in kaduna which is totally against the teaching and preaching
Islam."
He also called citizens of the country to find a ground to unite against such violence and work towards greater peace for all in Nigeria.
