greenlilly: When you collect you passport, you should see instructions to book in person interview. And yes they can request physical interview even when you qualify for interview waiver |

FameGlory: You need more details. How long have they been abroad Do they go by a different name What state were they last in ? What about other friends they know? You might need to find police reports or prison records. They may have also just changed states and don't want to be reached. |

Funkey20: Sometimes high prolactin is linked to weight gain that's why I mentioned lifestyle change. It can also be linked to insulin resistance or thyroidism so in case you may have diabetes in your extended family please check your blood sugar just to be sure. Take CoQ10 to improve egg quality for a few months before you try again . |

Shueld06:Does the VO know you can pay the deficit Can they take your word for it? Pls funding from a school carries more weight .than a students words. US economy doesn't need your school fees. Their own residents take student loans from the govt that's paid to schools to cover tuition 1 Like |

Funkey20:It's unusual for you to only get 10 follicles at 32years What was your AMH? Is your doctor recommending anything to address the high prolactin? If you don't mind me asking are you overweight? Adjusting your lifestyle and eating habits may help with reducing prolactin levels. Healthy food and consistent exercise....please try to not to worry ..it just causes no distress to our bodies The good news is you only need ONE good egg so it will happen for you 3 Likes |

justwise:And neither do you. But what is clear is that the only person that has a definitive job when they land is her. She'll be on that entry level for at least two years. Her husband will need to bridge that gap for childcare cos those kids are young since . To do this UK move he needs to be prepared to do what he probably has not been primarily responsible for in Nigeria. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Samguine: She a nurse. There have always been opportunities for nursing abroad. Consistently high demand . Even if she moves to as a student or studies public health. Permanent residence for healthcare professionals is typically much easier for them. Their kids are 5&7 years that's already school drop off and pick up ..they can't take bus. One parent must be home for that. She knows her husband if she thinks he can do the heavy lifting since she the only one with a confirmed job. The shocks may not be pretty. 1 Like |

Jamesclooney:But those oil workers already earned that income before leaving so they left Nigeria with cash to soften their landing. Not sure what cash Nurse is coming with so let her earn some cash now to cushion her landing if she still wants to move. Her husband is coming from civil service..that jolt of moving to the UK is gonna be hard. He can't get engineering job straight.all his experience may mean very little. He's a civil engineer again..that in its self is restrictive . He's need UK experience and accreditation. If he's not adaptable to pivot to something else then I honestly won't advise this. 4 Likes |

NurseGrace:Take the oil and gas job immediately. Do at least two years and build your income, invest and save money in USD and naira. Live on a tight budget no frivolities. If you still want to practice nursing abroad then study the various countries and their application options that the environment works for you. Your husband's career and work opportunities is important. Note even as an engineer he can not work as a n engineer abroad unless he gets he gets a post graduate course in that country and goes ahead to meet the accreditation for professional engineers in this country. These acteditaton will require vetting his work experience which is almost impossible if it's is foreign and they have no way to assess. 2 Likes |

DWJourney: About 3weeks or so. Have you paid for the green card yet? If you haven't you should get mail from USCIS saying that you not paid and requesting you make payment. By the way your visa in the passport is actually valid for 1year from the date you entered the US. So if you need that you can use it as soon identification/permit to work 1 Like |

Drebal: There is typically a perception that having an Immigrant petition means your NIV will be denied. That's not true. I had a few US NIVs during my immigrant petition. Other people on this same forum have also said the same.. Immigrant petitions can take awhile if not for some categories up to 20years. I mention this so that you know it does happen, people do get NIVs. You might want to look at other things, Was there a place in the DS160 that asked if anyone had filed immigrant petition for you. Did your parents answer yes to that question? Do your parents have travel history ? Was there any other question they asked your parents that they didn't mention to you? However if your parents Priority Date is close on the visa bulletin then you can wait it out. This depends on what stage it is, though has the petition been approved?, are you at NVC stage with documents all submitted and documentary qualified?. There have been longer wait times for Lagos consulate to give interviews for all immigrant categories since COVID. 2 Likes |
Family / Re: Help Me Glaucoma Is About To Take My Only Eye by Taal17: 5:45am On Sep 07 |
OP Glaucoma is a progressive ailment. I suspect the reason why you sight degenerated is because you did not follow up with routine eye tests. It's imperative that you keep up with your drugs and eye tests for life. I know at least 5 people with glaucoma and they still have their sight because they continue with their treatment and test.nOf the two 5 two lost vision in one eye. For everyone else Glaucoma is silent, by the time it shows signs your sight is gone. Diabetes can affect eye pressure so if you have please do eye pressure tests regularly If any one in you family has gone blind please do routine eye checks for glaucoma. Unfortunately eyes do not have replacement. |

Your mum can not be sick. Worrying will raise BP o!. This is the time to use whatever amount of faith you have. If you are not anxious everyone else will be confident Occupy yourself with other stuff, to keep your mind busy. 1 Like |

ayodebola: Complete this step first. This thing can't be rushed. You need to complete what they asked you to upload. Make all the payments then you will be told when you are documentarily qualified if all your docs are satisfactory . Then it's the wait for interview date..we can't say how long that would be yet. Your PD has to be current though before you are get interview date. |
