So if you are in the US on a non-immigrant visa and you need to renew that visa to another non immigrant visa you can not go to Mexico or Canada consulate to book an appointment as students used to do. You would have to go back to your country of residence or nationality

Pls go with your baby and take his own documents with you , plus his passport. They will usually allow you to do his appointment with yours on the same day.

I had my TB test in February to expire August 27th in preparation of traveling to the UK last May but the admission was differed to September. For my Visa processing on August 11th, I uploaded the same TB test cert as it was still valid then and thank God my VISA was approved.
My question is, is it safe to travel with this expired TB test because I learnt immigration do ask for some of this thing? Will it still be tenable or I should do another test before I travel?

Did you see the requirements there when you did it online.
It states there the exact type of documents required..


Better go to high court and do age declaration or go to your local NPC with your hospital birth certificate and get NPC attestation of birth.


Then go back to immigration with the corrected copy

I followed some of the advice shared here, and honestly, it worked like magic. They are now reaching out to me. several calls, apologies, and even prompt responses to my emails from different quarters.

I can’t help but wonder what went wrong initially, but I’ll leave that to mystery. What matters is that I’ve now been assured I’ll be credited within 10 working days.

I’m tempted to commend their services, but I’ll hold off until the funds actually hit my account, since the process is still ongoing.

Yes, Embassy will know when they do background check. You would just be moved to F3. Hopefully this background check is not after your interview


Even if they don't find out. The F1 applicant would find it difficult filing for 'husband' after getting green card. That is going back to marry and then applying for husband with the wait

Want to apply for a passport for my boy. We have a certificate from the village council certifying he is a native and the local government and state where the village is located. It's in certificate template.


But not a certificate from the local government council yet. Don't know whether to go on with the certificate from the village council or wait for the LG certificate from the LG council.

Someone was caught red handed in the act of declaring a fraudulent marriage in order to obtain a visa and you're saying it doesnt affect other visa applications. He had an immigrant visa interview, if you understand how that works you must show up with your spouse at interview for DV lottery Spouse travelled to the US before him and based on his account of the interview that was why spouse was sent back and he was refused.
The fact that he told us the marriage was fraudulent does not conclude that's what the visa officer determined.
He does NOT KNOW IF HE WAS BANNED.if he was sure he would tell us

His question to this thread is whether he should declare the US visa refusal in his forthcoming UK Tier 5 visa application and I said he should do so. He does not know nor is he sure why he was refused.

Anyone who has been refused US visa application will tell you the paper they give tells you no details on the reason. All interviewees can share is how the interview went that's all. It's UKVI that will give you bullet points on exactly why , US doesn't owe you even that.

So why should the OP allow that to now limit his options in life for every other country he might want to aspire to. Since 2009? 16yrs ago?

People who are deported from the US at port of entry have migrated legally elsewhere with no need of an immigration lawyer

Paid an agent back then who merged me with a principal applicant as her husband. Marriage certificate, wedding pictures arranged. We went for interview, but the cashier advised she go in alone because I had dollar to for one applicant and naira to pay for second applicant. Reason because they can't take 2 denomination for a file. That once applicant is given she can send email for new interview for her spouse. She went in was granted visa and we sent email and interview was scheduled. She insist she couldnt go with me then, several excuses and just 2 weeks interval, she had picked her passport with visa, later called me on phone giving excuses I go alone. Agent pleaded tried to reach her but no way. I went alone for the interview and the officer ask a simple question where is she, my answer was she is sick and had to be with her parents, he said well she spoke with her at US port last night, he had put a clause on her visa and she will be sent back. That he wanted clear his doubt that is why he asked us to come together. And he will give a ban. Although I was giving a refusal letter no ban written on it. I didn't bother on any visa application since then.
Now that am thinking of UK, my concern is the marriage certificate, no divorce done. I have been married with kids.
Please I need advice, so I won't be having issues filling form or concealing facts.

Well a ban from US doesnt affect any other visa application so you didnt need to be afraid of applying for any visa.
Besides you do not know if you got a ban. If you did it was probably 5 or 10yrs so that time has passed

Please fear not .it doesn't mean anything.
If the uk visa form you fill asks questions on previous refusals just put yes and indicate you dont know. or you are not sure as the reason for the refusal.
Pls note most US visa refusals do not tell you why they deny you visas

Your issue is that you don't want to share what you spend.
If you can not measure what you spend then how do you manage it.

We applied for a one month stay in Canada. 2 weeks in NB and 2 weeks in Ontario.

Documents Submitted:

My husband is a business person and I applied as a home maker.

We submitted:
Marriage certificates

His 1yrs business MBS

His 6months personal MBS ( We ensured the money we would be using for the trip is in his personal and not business account)

Company registration documents

His business is registered as a business name, so we submitted his tax card and recent personal income tax receipt. Business names don’t require company tax clearance. We also ensured the business name has an active status on CAC website.

We submitted our valid UK Visa stamps (2yrs) and that of our children.

Pictures of our trip to the UK

Cover letter introducing ourselves, explaining lump sum deposit and previous visa denial (my study permit visa was rejected last year)

Detailed Itinerary outlining our intended daily activities for the one month we would be there.

Invitation letter from a friend that stays in NB, Canada. She is a PR. She attached a copy of her PR card and mortgage doc. We however stated in our letters that we won’t be staying with her. My point is, if you feel you can comfortably take care of your accommodation, and someone is inviting you, don’t allow the person state that they would accommodate and feed you if their financial standing is not really okay. Your host would be required to submit a financial statement to this effect and if it’s not tight enough, it may work against you. So if you can accommodate and feed yourself, it’s okay to state it that you would do these yourself even if someone is inviting you.

Hotel and flight bookings (dummy tickets) - we made confirmable reservations we can cancel directly on the hotel website and it was completely free. For the flight tickets, we used Wakanow and paid a token of 10k.

Sponsorship letter from my husband stating he would sponsor me fully. Also a separate cost estimation letter, stating clearly how much the trip Willis cost us - return tickets, accommodation, feeding, miscellaneous and how much we have set aside to cover this costs. However, I still attached my 6 months Opay Bank Statement to show that my husband pays me allowances/supports me. Really, the closing balance wasn’t huge, it was about 200k.

For home ties:
Property documents
Pictures of business premises
Children’s birth certificates - we are not traveling with our children.

Tip: for every section, I did a cover stating what documents are attached and the page they can be found on the pdf. So that nothing is missed.

We used the new portal.

Yeah by his grace. Social security is intact, already applied for state ID and I will get it in few days, I tracked my green card this morning it says it's already been mailed to the address I provided and that I will receive it between now and September 3.

I have bunch of supportive family members who take turns to come to our place to pick us and drive us round the city. I have been to more places in Atlanta in my 3 weeks here than most people have been to in 20 years.. 😆 🤣 😂

Overall I'm settling down very well besides difficulties in figuring out their accent and them mine😁😁 Na so so en en en I dey do when they are talking to me.

As long as the relationship is genuine, rarely are immigrant visas denied.

If he provided the documents requested, so what else is there to expect than your passport is ready for pickup.

Never heard of them coming to address but like you said you are not married so what's the concern?
