Aside education route, which other route do you advise is quicker to come over. Kindly advise , even though I have quite knowledge in alot of these routes, I want to hear from someone or people who are ground sharing real time experiences. Thanks

Asides reading this thread extensively and doing specific research tyourself then you pay for those services (check my signature) to be done for you.

For funding, note you should start your work from about 18months before you intend to start your course.

Its an hands on process but it can yield results
Find the schools that have your course
Confirm they have funding you desire
Complete all eligibility requirements for admission and funding.
Get admission, pay sevis fee, book visa appointment.
Hope for the best at the appointment.
Note having funding doesnt guarantee a visa, fortunately you can always reapply for visa if you are refused.

Hello. So in September we book a dna with ddc dna the one recognized by the embassy we wanted to do dna as a supporting document. They refused to do dna for us saying since we got RFE letter the embassy themselves will schedule dna kit for us and i tried explaining to them it’s not requested by the embassy we just want to do it on our own. We couldn’t do it that day and they have refunded us. We used documents as our RFE
My question is this. Will that be enough? Im having fear of rejection or insufficient information

They are right. Its the consulate that will tell tou if they neds dna from ypu and will then inform the dna centre not you

I just want to share it with her. Friend is a uk citizen and sister was refused the 3rd time. They had addressed items in previous reviews and the sister does have travel history.

Hi everyone, I applied for my passport since July at the London embassy online, and did biometrics with the app on September 22nd. I have been waiting for my passport since then; it had been stuck in "passport production in progress" for about 4 weeks. I went to the embassy on Monday, and the man in charge of collection told me I would get it within the week, as there was an issue and he had resolved it. I think he just said that to dismiss me because, up until today, I haven't gotten it and am unable to track the delivery envelope with Royal Mail. Yesterday I emailed them and tried to call, but no response. I also noticed that when I tried to track the status of my application, it went back to application received. Please, what is happening? Has anyone experienced this before? I need the passport urgently, so I am planning to visit the embassy again on Monday.

At this point it might be best to visit the embassy

So if JFK is your first port of entry then that is where you will meet immigration.


Your airline will tell you if you have to pick up your luggage but for that it is a simple pickup from one conveyor belt to the other

You can register on Avits, though you need to have paid before you can book appointment.

1) How will i go about letting them know she needs this support i.e. me or my sibling accompanying her? Do i just show up with her at the consulate? or do i need to apply somewhere as an accompanying child? i am not resident in Nigeria but will be home when she will be attending her appointment. Will that pose an issue or maybe my sibling who is resident and lives in Nigeria accompany her? Neither of us would be applying for a visa.

2) Regarding her DS160 - after filling a new one , does she take with her to her appointment or she has to update it on her AVITS portal? Out of interest, how long is the validity of a DS160 form?

To be honest, if nothing has changed from the time you initially submitted ds 160 then no need to fill another.

You or sibling can go with her, when you get there you'll know if you can enter.

Embassy has interpreters so someone would be there if she asks for one during the interview.

There is nothing like accompanying child cos you're are all adults.

Get it here. Please fill the information from the details in your birth certificate. Eg don't say you were born in Ikeja when you were born in umuahia

Pls note your names on the attestation from NPC must be the same as on your NIN.

Ask the airline if you need a transit visa, I don't think you do but I'm not sure.

They don't give transit visas at Heathrow.

Submit your form, try to print the form of possible so you know what you filled.

Based on others I'd say don't use a USD card some people have not had success with it. Might be better to go 1st bank and pay.

If it doesn't say its ready then waith say another week to make it 6wks and go there with the slip they gave you and say you're there for collection

You are overthinking this. Pay another mrv and book another appointment for yourself.
You have already been interviewed so you can not reschedule.

You will take your kids for their own interview as expected. Better do your own new booking and pick any date you see, you might be lucky that the VO that sees your kids would interview you as well

No one here can tell you how close to your intended arrival date you can book for emergency appointment .
If you don't see a suitable day to reschedule then submit a emergency request with what you have .leave of absence.
Then you hope for the best.

You can walk around the terminal, you'll find places to eat, use bathroom and wash up.
Just check the screens for flight status because sometimes your boarding pass may not have the most current boarding gate and terminal. Make sure you are at right terminal. You find chairs and charging ports as well

Good evening everyone. I just wrote my final exams in the university and my brother is inviting me for is graduation taking place 19th of next month. He will get a letter of invite from the university when my passport is ready which will be early next month.
Note: My dad is sponsoring the trip
May questions are;
1) Is it too late to apply for a visa?
2) what other documents should I get ready?

It's likely too late since grad ceremony is 19th.
Unless you do premium processing which to be honest for visit visa to come for a graduation.

If you've had previous UK visa it's not impossible.

Get your passport first and start the application first. When you get to that bridge you'd see if there are dates for biometric ahead of your expected date.

Your brother does need to provide evidence of his status in the UK
Accommodation of where you will stay with him
Funds if he's taking care of expenses

You need evidence of your status as a student

The father is sponsoring. His personal account is okay but there were some large withdrawal that were done for personal project.

The father has a business registered with CAC but there's no recent activity in the business bank account for that past 6 years.

So should the applicant leave out the business side of the sponsor?

Should the sponsor be said to have retired? If retired? Will there be need for any supporting document that he has retired from business?

If the applicant is an adult then father should not be full sponsor. He or she must stand on their own funds to travel

Only exception should be a young adult in university no job

Delete the current application you have on the website. When you put in the details for this application when checking your status. You should see option to delete.

Next thing is why do you need the new passport? If it's to travel to Nigeria you can travel with expired passport. Just make sure you already have a renewal application in process so this way you can just do appointment at consulate. Immigration in Nigeria may ask for proof that you have done a renewal when you EXIT Nigeria.

If you need the passport because you're processing a new visa for UK immigration then that's fine as well you can still input your existing passport whilst you apply for a renewal through the consulate in London via appointment.

Since you seem to know those who were refused solely on not proving sibling relationship provide that evidence.

Birth certificate does not prove sibling relationship. You can have same mother with different name at the time of your births.

And I have applied numerous times for uk visas staying with siblings and did not have to prove that relationship .

Birth certificate only proves parental relationships that's all.
