Today special courts, tomorrow sharia court.
If the courts follow the universally acceptable tenets of jurisprudence there won't be problems, there will however be problems if Buhari sought to impose Islamic principles of jurisprudence (Sharia) on the south.
Next week it would be "specialised" new courts, Bukohari bringing in sharia small small.

They mofos didn't trek to protest over the erratic power the country is facing

They mofos didn't trek to show their grievances over the fuel crisis we are having.

They fools didn't even trek to protest over the killings and bombings of boko haram

The ediots didn't trek to protest against the frequent kidnappings that are happening in some parts of Nigeria

The ediots didn't trek to protest against corruption that is killing the country slowly.

And yet some silly nigerians are celebrating these shameless clowns. grin Anyway they always say; welcome to Nigeria, where _stupidity and mediocrity are celebrated.
even though am not in support of the name callings, these have always been my worries! whats the meaning of trekking to celebrate a failed state.
PoliticsRe: Bukola Saraki Pictured With Tony Blair Today In Abuja by tabolaji: 7:51am On May 14, 2015
owobokiri:
All of them are gleefully taking pictures with Mr Blaire like my four year old will do with a father christmass. Nigerias political elite now needs British/western validation before they can feel comfortable in their skin! I don't know whether this is a sign of habitual inferiority complex or not but what has become very self evident is the fact that in their desperation to solidify the hausa-fulani/Yoruba political dominance in Nigeria, politicians from this part of the country have more or else smuggled Nigeria back into colonialism. . Unleashing a very anti nigerian brand of politicking that neglects the ordinary Nigerian while auctioning off this countrys economic assets to western multi nationals. We are more or else a colony my people. . , beholden to the whimps of our western overlords ably represented by some empty politicians always excited at the prospect of exchanging a handshake with any prominent western politician of 'note'. Zik of Africa must be spinning in his grave.
wonder why you people always base your comments on sentiments. Blair was in Abuja and not Saraki in London. suddenly, its a taboo to take pictures or hold meetings with other countries executives! If APC government is to solidify hausa-fulani/Yoruba political dominance in Nigeria, does that mean PDP has been surpressing it?

i can tell you that have not benefitted from any political party, and am sure neither have you. Yet, we never ceased to support those that doesnt even know that we exist nor cares for our needs.

Please my dear, let's leave sentiments alone and see how we can support the new government to succeed cos thats wht we desire as a nation!

PoliticsRe: BUHARI GOVT: Eyeing Lagos Template To Solve Power Crisis. by tabolaji: 12:40pm On May 12, 2015
Mynd44:
This has been what Osinbajo has been proposing all these while. To be honest, we Nigerians don't really know the exact issue with power generation and the National grid.

If Nigeria generates anything more that 7,500MW and feeds it to the grid, everything is going to come down as our distribution lines cannot take that much power. We don't not have the facilities so building huge power plants is not the way.

What we can do is to generate the power in bits. As Osinbajo have said, generate power when it will be consumed so we don't spend too much time and money on distribution. Each Local government or LCDA depending on the consumption. Perhaps even a locality can come together to have a 10MW plant for that area and they are good to go.

To keep building huge plants and hoping to connect then to the grid is a waste that has proven to be the way not to go.

With this bit by bit module, each locality can look at what they have and use it to generate power, gas in most places, some can use renewable power especially in the North where there are huge opportunities for wind and solar power.

In the south, I will like to see a Badagry power plant Ltd. that wants to harness the Atlantic ocean through tidal power. At least the beaches there have not been tamed like the ones on Lagos Island so it is possible.

These bit by bit generation will culminate into something tangible but first we need legislation for it to work as right now, the power generation laws state that if you generate anything greater than 1mw, you have to connect to the grid. This is where policy, plans, entrepreneurship and dedication combination will come into play
God bless you! intellectual piece like this is what made me still keep my nairaland account for almost 10years. Not some toddlers that get free data recharge from their parents to send rubbish comments.

What we don't understand is that some people in government can get incite from forum like this to implement for the benefit of all.

Can u give an example of just one country that produces electricity in bits?
Your question just further throw light on the problems this country has been facing over the years. Using other countries template to solve our peculiar problems. Not until our scientists and starts applying local approach in implementing globally template, we would be far from reaching the promise land. Just because no country has done it doesn't necessarily mean we can't explore it if it would work for us. Moreover, some countries that have more stable electricity is even going the route of microgrid to sustain it. Let's stop this 'copy cat' mentality abeg.

The rate at which people is being rescued this day make me feel BokoHaram is downsizing cos of economic regression or freeing spaces, keeping only those that have great impact rather than Nigerian Army winning. Why the sudden success? yet the Chibok girls are not among those being rescued. Just my thought anyway
