A woman and her ten- year-old son were in a taxi in Mumbai. It was raining and all the prostitutes were standing under the awnings. Mom, said the boy, what are all those women doing? They’re waiting for their husbands to get off work, she replied. The taxi driver turns around and says, Geez lady, why dont you tell him the truth? They are hookers, boy! They have sex with men for money. The little boy’s eyes got wide and he says, Is that true, Mom? His mother ,glaring hard at the driver, answers in the affirmative. After a few minutes, the kid asks, Mom, what happens to the babies those women have? "Most of them become taxi drivers! she said. |
In this day and age I marvel at the ignorance of people .So the Benin people do not know their history again?I don't know why Benin people refuse to agree they are from Yoruba stock,is it a kind of inferiority complex or what.you can not turn history on it's head let a Benin man on Nairaland tell me their origin I would like to be educated. For the avoidance of doubt 'In their respective oral traditions, Ijebu, Owo, and Benin all trace their origins to the ancient city of Ile-Ife, the cradle of Yoruba culture, and claim that their founders were the sons of the Yoruba deity Odudua, who was the first ruler of that city. Especially in Owo and Benin, the early art-historical and archaeological records reinforce these strong affiliations with Ife culture. Benin's royal histories relate that the court's brass casters learned their art from an Ife master named Iguegha, who had been sent from Ife around 1400 at the request of Benin's oba Oguola. Indeed, the earliest dated cast-brass memorial heads from Benin (1979.206.86) replicate the refined naturalism of Ife sculpture; early Owo terracotta sculpture appears to have been heavily influenced by the arts of Ife as we'll |
I worked in the Banking industry for over 25 years leaving as a GM I find Diamond bank to be a very good and friendly bank and I rate them miles above even the bank I left as a GM. Try borrowing money from GTB if u do not work in Mobil,Shell etc then u will know that all the pazzaz is bullshit. |
This guy has no brain at all.his grouse with the Yorubas started when Justice Esho indicted his father a high court judge for corruption.what a useless conspiracy theory. |
die bastard |
The Sada guy is one mumu GM that used to be at Habib bank didn't know his right from his left.he can't audit a traders shop talk less of NNPC.This is one of the reasons for occupy Nigeria celebrating incompetence there are other Nothern firms ie Suilamon and co with the experience and profile to handle such briefs. Boko Haram is winning |
And GMD NNPC . NB Indians need not apply |
The difference between Tinumbu and the others is that unlike Ibori and co Tinumbu is smart. You don't become Treasurer of Mobil by being a dullard. The others are just plain brazen thieves who cannot even steal creatively. If you make your houseboy a Governor what do you expect. Gbenga Daniel has never worked in a structured environment where you adhere to rules and regulations, Lucky thief of Edo has probably only worked for Okada holdings, Akala is a Policeman, Ohakim confirmed 419, Kalu former Abia Gov has been doing 419 since the early 80's. Most(not all o)of these people could not have passed an aptitude test let alone work in a multinational company. Just like IBB and Obasanjo for Tinabs the more you look the less you see. |
OBAFEMI AWOLOWO It is, therefore, with a brave heart, with confident hope, and with faith in my unalterable destiny, that I go from this twilight into the darkness, unshaken in my trust in the Providence of God that a glorious dawn will come on the morrow. |
Haha just Shows that even amongst thieves there is honour |
To cut the BS i had a very good experience with Diamond Bank. I was in banking for over 20 years and know most of the relevant top management in most Nigerian banks. On retirement i opened a small scale manufacturing outfit and needed just 5m working capital to generate a turnover of over 30m plus. All the banks(about 4 i bank with) were in short unwilling to lend concentrating more on margin loans.(i was offered a 20m line by one useless Bank). i have been banking with Diamond bank since 1990 or so on a non borrowing basis. i decided just for the fun of it to ask at my branch and to my surprise it took just about 3 weeks from proposal to documentation to disbursement without seeing anybody but my Banking officer. I do not even know the branch manager or any other staff in the branch for that matter. I was handled very professionally and have used the facility which expires shortly very judiciously. If your papers are right and you have a good proposal i recommend Diamond bank SME without hesitation |
Sorry i didn't have time to read most replies but i am saddened by the fact that this forum is used by some imbeciles to bare unwarranted hatred and pent up frustration. There should be some form of decorum or what is called netiquette when posting to forums. Just like Nigeria illiterates and vagabonds are taking over Nairaland. From their poor grammar and comments you will know they lack home training and good upbringing, and hide under the net to propagate hatred.I am Yoruba and have worked and lived all over Nigeria Aba PH Enugu JOS Kaduna Lagos Ibadan Etc We were brought up to know right from wrong, a thief is a thief no matter his name or where he comes from and we were taught to value order justice and fair play.Just as you have bad Yoruba men so it is all over Nigeria. Saying there is a preponderance in one part or the other is rather shallow and mischievous. So brothers and sisters let us join hands together and make positive contribution to this forum instead of using it to divide ourselves. |
May they all rot in hell.I tried to do a lease with Oceanic for 5m to buy machines for my factory with 50% down payment they were dribbling me up and down. Now we know where all the money went.Ole, Barawo Thief. |

Im in the same mess too. I bought 5 plots from omooniles and agents at Eleko junction.By the time we finished the transaction i am left with only 3.5 plots. Nobody will tell u the truth from the Lg officials to the surveyors. The best i can do now is to utilize the land for my business (Manufacturing) till the LSG shows up to demolish or claim their land. |
Does any one know how i can register to be a contractor with Cheveron nigeria?? |
