Lagusta: nice work Mr president!!!I think a section of this road, d Oyo-Ibadan Section, is completed and was commissioned yterday by d Min of Work. I bliv I saw this on National news yterday..... The whole needs to be completed though, as you said |
And 'they' say he is not doing anything...... |
Just imagine that apart from this Abuja-Kaduna Standard Railway in its final stages, Sections of the new Abuja Inter-City Railway is also nearing completion (a thread on this was on the FP last week I think).Just as the track laying of the Ajaokuta-Aladja Standard Guage is finali virtually completed (bearing completion of Navigation/Communication equipments as well as Rail Stations). The previously dead Lagos-Kano (and its many Spur Lines) have been revived, whilst the even longer PH-Maiduguri Railtrack is also been reconstructed and should be back sometimes this year/early next year. So GEJ would complete at least 3 New Standard Rail Lines, and at least start a 4th Lagos-Ibadan, in 4 years (where there was none b4 he came in); as well as Reviving more than 3000km old Rail Lines (which had been virtuali Dead for over a Deacade b4 him)!! This just RAILWAYS alone; and 'they' say he is not doing anything...... |
@OP, I think the RECONSTRUCTION of the road, a section of the Oyo-Ibadan Expressway, was actually COMPLETED and commissioned by the Minister, not the Flag-off of its reconstruction. I just saw a section of the newly Reconstructed Road Section on National news this evening. |
Impressive..... |
Saw this news a few days ago.... Pretty Impressive Resume the young chap has there. Congrats and all d best to him.. |
Nkemtreasure: Listened to the interview on ray power on Monday. She wasn't saying that Nigeria can't pay but what was appropriated by The NASS can't go beyond October reason being that these monies were moved by the NASS from salaries to Constituency projects. The president was pressured to sign it with the agreement that an appropriation bill will be sent but the NASS backed out of the agreement. The write up was just an extract. She was interviewed for more than 10mins and this piece was just to suit the reporter. When Okonjo-Iweala was shouting at d top of her voice in January/late February, pointing out d danger of d NASS removal of about #74billion from d Salary sub-head to fund their Consistency projects, and gave that as one of d reasons the President refused to sign d budget then, many peeps thought she was a kidding... Now d Cock has come home to roost, as they say |
So much useful info here....and lots of Enthusiasm too |
baysol: Nigeria is slowly manipulated to death by foreigners and our mumutan president and his croonies sidon dey look. What a pity and time dey go and Nigerians take no heed until its too little too late. What a shame? What is this ijiot talking about?? |
take dat: The President will receive a lot of backlash for taking this "untimely" bold and necessary action. There is no way you will streamline without downsizing. One would have expected that the president starts with political office holders even if he cannot temper with those holding elective offices in order to show sincerity of purpose. Political office holders and elected officials keep a retinue of PA's, Senior Special Assistance, Special Assistance, Special Advisers etc. And these unneedful political bag-carriers consume a large chunk of the recurrent expenditure. For example, the President has more than 3 media managers who also have their own personal aides (Okupe, Abati, Reno and co, not forgetting that he already has a Minister of information) when he can make do with just 1. The same thing with ministers and other elected officials.Agreed, largely |
How d ffuck does an individual holding such a high Govt Office make such an ethnically-charged statement openly, regardless of how important the point he wanted to make is (and he does hv some points)? How?? ....He ought to now tender his resignation Or be shown d way out based on sm of his statements here, if he actuali made them |
This is what happens when you are pursuing fundamental changes that is in many ways an Agricultural Revolution, diligently. The tomatoes farmers in Kano and Environs wud soon start getting Real substainable value for their efforts, just like d Cassava, Rice, Palm Oil, etc farmers are now beginning to do.... |

What a shame.... |
mu2sa2: Whether we like it or not Lagos is a Yoruba town. And Iyaloja is a yoruba thing. So let yoruba of Lagos do what they feel like with their Iyaloja. The Iyaloja has no influence outside lagos. As for Tinubu's overbearing influence in Lagos, this is by no means unique in nigeria. Uba brothers(Anambra), Sarakis (Kwara), Sambo(Kaduna) are doing, or once did, the same thing in their states.Just hear this HYPOCRITE...*smh* |
otokx: When we stop deceiving ourselves then progress will be made. Personally we have not seen cassava bread so what is all the hulabaloo. Nigeria remains the largest consumer of cassava via garri so kini big deal? When will you learn that it is wisdom to keep one's mouth Shut smtimes @otokx. You must realli be a Pessimistic chap with a lot of Negative energy in real life with d sort of comments you always write here. Did you even read d Opening article, esp d words of d Farmer's Association Chair? *smh* |
Beautiful thread.... |
*yawns*.... An Article on an Economy that intends to show that that Economy is 'Broke/dead' without using a SINGLE Economic parameter (Inflation rate, Foreign Reserves, Exchange Rate, FDI inflows, Capacity Utilization, Balance of Payments, Balance of Trade, Growth of NonOil sector, Stock Market Index, International Ratings, Growth or otherwise of Capital to Private Sector, GDP, GDP per Capital, etc etc) to argue that supposedly 'clear' point about the Economy, BUT rather bases its entirely argument upon 'opinions' purportedly expressed by 3 'highly placed Govt officials' (called 'sources' ) who are of course conveniently left ANONYMOUS!! ......Of course none of those Economic Parameter can be used if one wants to pen concortions like this and hookwick sm small nos of WEAK minds, since Every single one of those Parameters show an Economy in d exact direction to d one the writer(s) of this article want it to be. Talk about reasoning backwards, confidently!!! |
GEJ TEAM abi? The list is increasing by d hour o, lol.... Its an honour to be on the list o @Sincere9jerian.... GEJ shld just continue pursuing some of d things he is currently doing regardless of d mindless distractions from a Bunch of Losers and Power Hunters, and improve on a few odas, and not only wud his support continue to increase amongst REAL Nigerians but he wud hv set his name firmly on Nations Eminent Honours Plate for all time... |
awodman: ".....a legislator, a senior bureaucrat and an insider in the Presidency..."Bruv, I join you laugh boo, Hehehehehehehe..... Bunch of Ijiots. This method is so yterday; e no dey work again... |
Desola: abeg carry your chicken leg waka jo! Like say you better pass the ACN sycophants.Wheneva anyone of you accuse me of supporting GEJ on dis forum, I always try to point out that I dont just support GEJ, I infact very strongly support him. Not just cos I bliv he is doing relatively well in d short time he had bn President, esp compared to other former leadas, BUT also cos of my high DISTASTE at d way and extend sm persons (including yrself) hv poured inventives, insults, lies/propaganda against not just his Govt but his PERSON from d very Beginning of his reign, in a clear display of HATE, power mongering and hostility towards him, buoyd by Religious, ethnic and Sectional interests, in ways Unprecendented in Nigeria's political history. I support him, yet what I never do here is HYPOCRISY/SYCOPHISM; i hv disagreed with sm of his policies and moves many times here without losing my support for him. If this smhow 'pains' you, then I cudn't give a rat's azzz about yr feelings... Oh! And by d way: I support GEJ but not PDP. I hv NEVER said anytin nice about PDP here or any where else for that mata; in fact, I hv even talkd down on dat party a no of times here. What I hv always made clear though is that other parties (whether ACN, CPC, ANPP, APGA, 'APC', etc) are not any better.. |
nuclearboy: Kudos for the bolded!Wetin come bring GEJ enter dis mata now? You see am for ya dream?? |
Demdem:One no longa respond to d Rantings of this HYPOCRITES... |
eGuerrilla: This kind of power-grab betrays all the symptoms of megalomania.Oh! Even you now know... |
KINGwax: iyalaje has alwys been by influence, wealth, and not election. What are u people ranting abt?One word: HYPOCRITE.. |
Ijogz K: Is she fine? Can I marry her daughter in other to get a ministerial position by the APC led govt come 2015? Only time will tellKeep dreaming, Brov.. |
jmaine: I dey feel this man Tinubu cos he is synonymous with power in Lagos affairs . . .QED.... And it is such a shame.. |
take dat: Is Tinubu the Oba of Lagos? It is a "traditional" chieftancy title and not a political appointment, if she is the preferred choice of the Oba we all have to live with it. You can't question the decision of the Oba on this matter even if it dis-pleases you!So you bliv that this was just 'the choice of d Oba'?...smh |
