I like the way u responded to that guy even though i don't totally agree with u. My point of disagreement is this, from my own assessment, this young girl is like 15 years old presently. That means she was 13 two years ago. lets say she started schooling at the age of 5, she did 6 years primary school,6 years post primary school that is 12 years plus her questionable 5 years starting age that is 17 years. or was she a junior waec candidate?

I think all male child in Ahoada from 15 years and above should leave town as the town is seriously on blood sucking mode. For Nigeria to be developed, we have to develop our reasoning too not just economically. why kill the boys and burn the house? Judging my the design of the house non of the boys built it, so another man has lost his property. what happen to innocent until proven guilty in the law court. Just recently someone in Ohio was awarded 1m for wrongful incarceration, what if jungle justice was meted on him for a crime he didn't commit then? Our security operatives should be more diligent in their duties so as to always prove their cases "beyond reasonable doubt"(T N Onwumere). We should stop taking the law into our hands, the law exist for a reason. Say no to jungle justice.

@ joborskill . I have my reservations for some of the things you wrote. i will not go the tribal way because of the obvious. The issue of the grazing bill is my concern. The bill is faulty as it will not address the fundamental needs of the Nomads. The are more profitable ways of conserving grasses. The government need to brain storm on this problem and not a hurriedly packaged bill. What the nomads need is a change of orientation. Have you asked your self the owners of those cattle? i bet you they don't live in the bush like the guys working for them. This guys are humans and should be in good houses not in the bush. The owners of the cattle are wealthy enough to provide land in the north and plant good quality grass for their cattle that way the nomads will get settled and have a life too.

I blame the federal ministry of agriculture on this issue, because it has failed to arrest this situation. If I were to handle this situation, instead of killing people,it will provide employment, and everyone will be happy.
This problem is a result of population increase, the normal migration pattern of the nomads, is to move down south during dry season. But now most of the bushes are disappearing because of development and the nomads think is their right to graze wherever they like.

There are ways of conserving our grasses during the wet season and it will be used in the dry season to feed the cattle. Cattle rearing has changed in Nigeria, is no longer business as usual. If u own a cattle, u have to keep them in your range and provide for them. Call in specialist to conserve your grasses for you,treat them and also let the nomads have better quality of life then they are getting from the cattle owners who are exploiting them.
I like the statement made by that secretary, it shows the psychology behind this frequent attacks. Someone up there is really encouraging the nomads because according to the secretary, that is their grazing deserve.

Anyone giving u this money will like to know what your going to do with it. And also will like to hold on to something as an insurance to his money. Can u provide that?

I think Umar should recuse himself and let another person continue from where he stopped. Because if he continues, whatever judgement he gives can be upturned at the appeal.

I saw this and didn't want to open it, but something in me said i should share this story here.
A boy at a very young age once went to native doctor to inquire if he will be rich or poor in life, the native doctor looked at him and said "my son you are still young why do u want to make this inquiry? please go". But the boy insisted that he wants answers. so the native doctor brought out a white and a black chalk and also a millipede. Then the native doctor draw a white circle and a black one with the white and black chalk respectively and then placed the millipede in between the circles and told the boy if the millipede enters the white circle you will be rich but if it enters the black line you will be poor.
so the millipede was freed just as the millipede was about to enter the black circle, the boy got up, took the millipede and placed it in the white circle.
