[quote author=onatisi post=48400278]What is ur point precisely?so as a lawmaker he can engage in fits cuff in public? And what makes it worse is that the person he fought is even a woman and his wife for goodness sake and you are here trying to defend himhuh
Am not defending him. All am asking is a question that needs to be answered. It takes two to tango. If everyday all we do is to read without asking asking questions about blurred lines in articles then we can easily be tempted my the media. Deduct ur own decisions after digesting what u have read and not from what u have read.
I don't know the speaker,I heard his name for the 1st time in this article.
Answers to those questions will shade a better light into scenario that played out today.

This story is incomplete. Please Naijapopular there are missing pieces of this story that's u skipped.
What was the actual matter in court because u said she sued for divorce but the court ruled in favor of the speaker? Conflicting to my understanding.
Then you sound biased. Sorry if your not but that my observation. You highlighted the Speakers actions and carefully muted the Wife's actions or reactions.
On the speakers action, let me hold on to my stone. I may be sentencing an "innocent" man to death on media.
I have learnt from 2015 elections that there are more than 3sides of a story.

PoliticsRe: Clear Evidence Of How GEJ Wrecked The Economy by Taich(m): 5:10pm On Aug 11, 2016
maclatunji:
The public discourse is dominated by the poor state of the economy with many opponents of the present government of President Muhammadu Buhari seemingly relishing what they perceive as his failure to run the economy which they claim is the source of our current recession.

However, a short look at our immediate past shows that former President Goodluck Jonathan actually presided over running the Nigerian economy aground during his tenure which largely favourable global economic conditions.

Read this report from last year :

So, the 2015 budget which was done by GEJ 's administration was financed from borrowing, what happened to all the revenues raised in the previous 3-4 years under him?

Do people think we will just stroll out of GEJ's mess like that? The man did not only fail economically but he also empowered militants that are now sabotaging the economy, he also failed to decisively tackle Boko Haram until few months before leaving.

It is only an hypocrite that will blame the present government for our problems, it is doing a lot to stabilize a bad situation.
If you want to know the truth about Nigerian Economy. I suggest you do a little research and educate yourself more. If you are trying to score a political point, you will miss the truth. But if truly you seek the truth, quote me back together we will unravel this glaring truth.

If u ask me, na who i go ask? Thank God that something is been done about it at least. Looks like some part of Northern Nigeria are not part of the country or maybe they were just recently included in the map. How can a state government and local Government deprive this basic need from this people for so long? and someone is even trying to score a political point with it. they all should bury the head shame.

Car TalkOpen Letter To Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Gcon. by Taich(op): 12:15am On Jun 18, 2016
Good Day Alhaji Aliko Dangote, GCON.
Is with humility and respect for your person and what you stand for that I write this letter to you. Sorry this should have come a bit earlier but I believe is never late to do the right thing neither is it too late to turn away from a wrong direction.
Sir as the richest Nigerian, your foot prints is on every nook and cranny of our country but sadly they have been a serious ugly trend that is so disturbing that I wish to bring to your notice through this medium.
Just recently I came back from Togo through road, on my way back, I saw two Dangote branded trucks in Togo along the way. The news was the drivers were caught with illicit drug and are imprisoned. As a frequent traveller who uses Nigeria roads, almost in all our high ways, you will find a Dangote branded truck especially those conveying cement involved in an accident. The one I saw today just before you enter Owerri town if you are coming from Onitsha prompted me to write this letter. In the accident, Dangote truck carrying cement collided with another one carrying a petroleum product. The two trucks and their content were burnt as a result of the collision, I don’t know if the Drivers survived.
Sir I know you have a lot in your hands but please look into your logistics section by ensuring the safety of your personnel and goods are given more attention. This will bring more profit to your brand and also boost your image. Road accidents don’t just happen, there are measures that when put in place will help to reduce the frequency of this accidents drastically. For example, if you put in place these things, your company accident rate will be reduced by more than 40% within the next six months.
1. Introduction of safe speed limit for your trucks and a tracker to monitor Drivers’ adherence to it.
2. Periodic training and retraining of Drivers.
3. Introduction of strict drug and alcohol policy.
4. Update on your existing Journey management policy.
5. If possible the use of 2 drivers per truck for long distant journeys
6. Making sure that these drivers are adequately rested before embarking on a journey.
With the above points I believe you can reduce the amount of lives that are lost on our high ways because of these trucks, and also save a lot of money for your company.
May God continue to bless you.
Yours sincerely,
Umahi Chukwudi.

PoliticsRe: Mass Sack: You Are Unpatriotic, Ngige Lashes NECA by Taich(m):
The Honourable Minister has a moral point. But business is always without sentiment. Since 2010 banks have been declaring profits in billions and each of those years they did retrenchment citing one excuse or the other. The problem with the labour laws is that they are hole ridden.
Adams Oshimole as a labour leader negotiated and introduced contract staff in system,(don't really know what his intentions were) today banks and other sectors of the economy especially oil and gas have used those laws to enslave Nigerian graduates. Hire and fire at will with little or no benefit.
My advice to Honourable minister is that he should work with national assembly and change those labour laws that makes it possible for employers of labour especially those that are using our national cake to do business to do what ever they like.
They may be morally bound not to fire but I don't think that morals exist were profit is the target.
