Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli recently survived an auto accident. The actress was with a friend in the car when another road user forced them to swerve off the road. We were cruising down the high way on top speed when a mad driver suddenly cut in front of us to make a last minute exit. We swerved and for a minute, we lost control of our car. NEWS NUGGET - Adamu Mu'azu humbles up to Gov Fayose. Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, has appealed to party members and stakeholders to rest all misunderstandings and work toward the party’s stability and survival. He made the appeal in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja. <!--more--> Mu’ azu urged the members across the country to put the disappointment its defeat at the just-concluded elections may have caused them and the party behind. He said that though the party’s defeat was painful, ‘’members should key into the intervention by President Goodluck Jonathan and not allow the situation to further divide it’’. “I very much appreciate the reactions of some of our members like Gov. Ayo Fayose, whose victory in Ekiti in June 2014, helped to strengthen our party, particularly in the South-West region. “Nevertheless, in the larger interest of our party, we all must resolve to bury the hatchet and pick our pieces to rebuild the party and return it to its winning ways,’’ M’azu said. He said that in the wisdom of the party`s leadership, a Post-Election Assessment Committee headed by the Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, had been set up. He said that it was, therefore, necessary for all to support the committee with meaningful report that would provide answers to the challenges and roadmap for the party`s future. The PDP remains the largest political party in the country. ‘’What we need now more than ever before is to unite as therein lies our strength as a family. Fighting ourselves will not yield anyone any good,’’ he advised. Receiving the passenger coaches of the train, the Cross River State Governor, Liyel Imoke said, the Monorail line was a project that had been on the books of Cross River State for many years, expressing his excitement to see that the trains are finally delivered to site. I was watching the news some days back when an advert came up about security numbers to call and report crimes ( asking for bail is a crime ). And I was just sad to the point of it became funny because the numbers were more than 20 different 11 digit phone numbers. I was like; with all the billions pumped into Nigeria’s security sector, Nigeria’s security sector still go around buying N100 sim cards for us to call? How in Heavens name is anyone going to remember those numbers in times of emergency? In America they have the famous 911. In Nigeria the easiest to remember 3 digit combination is 419. That number has meant Negative things for far too long. Its about time we put it to good use and turn its meaning to positive. Stamford Bridge wakes up erupts! It wasn’t pretty today. It was a slog. It was tough to watch at times. But from Chelsea’s perspective, it was worth it in the end. It wasn’t a performance that will win over the neutrals or make the accusations of tedium go away, while there are bound to be a few grumbles over the way that Eden Hazard won his penalty. But Kevin Friend’s final whistle brought confirmation of what has been on the cards for a long time: Chelsea are the champions of England for the first time since 2010. They have been the best team, Hazard has been the best player and Jose Mourinho has been the best manager. Congratulations are in order. Now they have to retain it.
