Good evening great minds, please I urgently needs your contributions. I applied for student visa recently with my wife as dependant. However, I received a mail 5 days after our application that my wife should provide more supporting evidence to proof her relationship with me within 10days. We provided our wedding certificate, affidavit showing change of name, wedding pictures, casual pictures etc.

To cut it short my visa was approved while hers was denied. The stated reason for her denial was because she doesn't provide enough evidence to proof she's my wife. We were given room to appeal or pay £80 for Administrative review which will be addressed within the next 3 months.

My questions are:

1.) Was she denied because of omicron having provided all those supporting relationship evidences?

2.) Can she reapply for fresh visa/how soon can one reapply after denial?

3.) Is UK still given dependant Visa this period?

Someone should kindly address this!

I'll be applying for the visa as soon as my CAS is issued next week as a dependent.

My wife is yet to do change of name, so she's still bearing her maiden name across all her documents but we have marriage certificate and wedding pictures.

Go to their office tomorrow with your passport and meet them at the gate explaining your situation. They'll book you manually

Has anyone gone through the pre-cas interview for the University of Bedfordshire? if Yes, Were you asked to submit proof of funds the same day?

My pre-cas interview is scheduled for December 2 and my POF will mature on December 5.

The home address on my TB test result is different from my offer letter, but my offer letter and bank statement have the same address.

Does this matter or I should go back to IOM to update the address to match on all three documents?

my bro's BRP card obtained at last, after waiting for 3weeks.. I will advise anyone applying to study in UK to note the following;

- that during your visa payment process at the gov website, ensure that you choose your university in the BRP collection criteria under the 'sponsor' option.
- on your visa apllication letter, it may be necessary to indicate that your university will collect your BRP on your behalf. The university CAS letter usually contains an ACL code (specifically for your BRP) used by your university, which should be indicated on your visa application too.

That way, your university can collect your Biometric Resident Permit (BRP) on your behalf... and they will likely collect it faster for you, unlike post office. I know that this topic is hardly discussed here, but it is very important to know, because it will ease your chances in settling quicker after arrival

OK guys, I was at the embassy this morning and things went as planned, I feigned ignorance of some things with that yellow man and he asked me to rebook, as it stand I won't be penalized. This gives me enough room to speak to my sponsor to hasten the process and before the 3weeks window period I believe everything would have been in place. Already working on the finitiba account. Thank you all for your time yesterday, it made things easy for me today.

If they didn't allow you to have the interview, it will be better. However, the two instances I have seen, they were both allowed to have the interview. The first person was rejected after 2 days of the interview, while another person pleaded with the VO during the interview and promised to forward it by courier as soon as he gets home ( He has it but didn't go with it). So if eventually you were allowed to have the interview, then look for a way to plead with the VO that you will forward it within the week and start working on Fintiba block account starting from today. To those that will be using SL in the future, always have plan B if you are not sure of when the SL will be ready which is the opening of Fintiba account even if you are not going to use it. Shalom

I intend to ask for a reschedule for the same day to arrange all my documents. I hope this applies in lagos , got the screenshot from a google search

If you go with incomplete documents the worst that can happen is to disallow you from doing the interview.You will not be penalized ! But you In a nutshell, this is the extract from the appointment letter "Incomplete applications cannot be accepted: the application will be rejected free of charge and a new date has to be agreed". If they didn't allow you to do the interview ,you have to reschedule another date, so you will no longer bear the consequence of not responding to your appointment request.

If I get you clear, I'll still pay application fee before they'll allow me reschedule

Yea I think it's better he go.If they ask him about SL, he should inform them that he is expecting before the week runs off. The worst that can happen is that they will not allow him to attend the interview due to incomplete documents. Then he will come back home and rebook another date.

He should have cancelled his appointment atleast 1st January when he didn't get the SL. He took a very high risk with based upon faith with the hope that he will get it before 8th Jan.Now if he cancell, he stand a chance of being penalized for violating the 1 week cancellation period.Again ,if he goes without block opening or SL ,he also stand a chance of being rejected. So he is in a state of dilemma.On the whole he could be lucky especially if he is able to get the sponsorship letter before next week runs off.Then he can quickly forward it to embassy before decision is made on his visa application.

I think there are people that sell those things at the embassy. I'm not sure though. If there are people that take passports there, there should also be those that sell envelopes.

That was the only available date as at the time I booked a date, I'm hoping my sponsor will come through this week, that's the miracle I'm hoping for, he's sorting us his papers first. It was his delay that caused me the setback, I didn't want to go again as at yesterday morning, things just changed and I felt I should give it a try

If you cannot get it today, the only chance is to be in embassy atmost 6:00am so you can buy from DHL or Fedex there, but I really don't know if those courier people will open early enough . I'm yet to open the block account, that's why I was reluctant about going, It was my bro that told me to have faith and hope for a miracle this week, that's why everything enter rush rush. If I get your right, I can get the envelope at the embassy if I get there early?
