Science/TechnologyTwitter Replaces "Favorites" Button With Heart "Likes" Button. by Tallesty1(op): 7:26am On Nov 04, 2015
Twitter has introduced a new feature that won’t let users “favourite” things any more, rather they will “like” things using “hearts” instead.

Prior to the coming of twitter hearts, clicking the favourite button is a way of indicating when a tweet is especially good but twitter has said that the symbol is confusing, and it will swap it for likes to make the social network more intuitive for new users.

“We want to make Twitter easier and more rewarding to use, and we know that at times the star could be confusing, especially to newcomers,” the company said in a statement posted to their Web site. “You might like a lot of things, but not everything can be yourfavorite.”

The site used to show a little star shape next to the icons for retweet or reply that changes to gold when someone clicked it to favourite the tweet but instead that will now be a red heart, and Twitter will refer to the tool as a like.

“The heart, in contrast, is a universal symbol that resonates across languages, cultures, and time zones,” a Twitter spokesperson said. “The heart is more expressive, enabling you to convey a range of emotions and easily connect with people. And in our tests, we found that people loved it.”

The button sits in the same place, under the tweet. But it now explodes with red, rather than filling up in gold when you click it.

Are You Among The People That Love It?

You have a point there but I have been using phones from brands with no service center in Nigeria and no complaints yet.

jaysay:
One thing you all are missing is,

1. these phones are not selling in Nigeria--you will have to take care of shipping cost and in some cases, custom charges
That's true.

But I know one or two nairalanders that will buy and ship to you @ a very low price.

jaysay:
2. you do not enjoy any after sales service once you buy them--you are on your own.
They do. The reason we don't ship them back is because of shipping cost and the stress involved.

jaysay:
3. These brands you are mentioning are not tried and tested.
The only brand of up there that I haven't used their product is Bluboo and I searched online to get other user's reviews b4 adding it in my list

jaysay:
What you should do is ship one of them, do a review and I will trust you more and probably buy one through you. But I will never ship a china phone into Nigeria myself and be on my own if there is a problem. I can through away my 30k or 50k.
I have reviewed products from xiaomi, meizu, elephone etc and I am still reviewing.

jaysay:
Else, I will buy the TECNO Camon C8 if I know I do not have 70k for the Phantom 5.
Tecno camon 8 is a good phone.

What necessitated this post if the high price of phantom 5.

Did you see me write camon c8 alternatives?
