Well, it was asked for in the current visit visa i applied for on behalf of my friend. Despite the person not traveling from Nigeria.

The evisa required yellow fever card and police clearance to be uploaded. So does an applicant just ignore it and upload something else?

Honestly if anyone has applied for evisa tourist visa recently and gotten it without police clearance or yellow fever card, i will really like to know

No need to withdraw. Canada allows you to apply for both at the same time.

If the second application is submitted, it will automatically be rejected once you submit the form because of similar application. It won't even proceed to the upload document sections.

If you are not in a haste, you can wait out your 7 days for the first application to get rejected so you can proceed with the second application.

I'm guessing the required documents is what put you off in your first application.

About police clearance, this is usually required when you answer you have lived in another country different from your current address within the past 10 years and the duration is more than 12 months (1 year). I experienced this first hand when I applied for conference visa and stated a UK address as my past address for over 2 years +. I was forced to get a police clearance from Nigeria (luckily it took me only a day).

I don't know about yellow card from other countries because I applied from Nigeria and it was a required document.
Or you can search online for countries that need yellow card for South Africa visa.

I would also advise to submit a dummy application like with different email, fake passport no, fake name etc with similar information as your second application so you can see what the required documents would be. This would help you to know beforehand what the required docs for your second application would be. Because if you submit your second application (after waiting 7 days for first application to be rejected) and you get required documents that you are unable to get, that's another 14 days wait for your application to be rejected before you can try applying again.

The person is from Europe and has lived there for 7 years. I guess its because he added a Nigerian address for the remaining 3 years that is causing police clearance and yellow fever.

I'll wait it out and get the Nigerian police clearance. So weird that they are asking all of this for a 1 week visit

Pls i need suggestions from those who have used the evisa system

I started an application last month for someone and submitted. But i realised there was a mistake so i have not uploaded documents or made payment to complete that application. I still have 7 days to submit documents.

So i started a fresh application, filled correctly, but i have not submitted yet. Is it advisable to submit the second one or should I wait for the first one to be canceled by the system?
I am asking cos some people said its automatic rejection if you have multiple applications.

Also, for those who have applied from outside Nigeria (uk, eu, etc) did you also get a request to upload police clearance and yellow fever certificate even though you are not traveling from Nigeria?

The whole evisa thing is confusing.

I plan to get my visa on or before 1st of September. I particularly want to know the best between dha website and VFS then the fastest. Thank you in advance. 1. Do fingerprint wherever you are . 2. Send it to someone in SA. 3. He or she will take it to the SA police clearance office Pretoria. It takes two to four weeks

Lol. Its not 2 to 4 weeks anymore o.. There is a high demand because of immigration and its taking months now. Someone had to wait for 3 months

I don’t live in Southy anymore. Was thinking I could do it at the embassy/high commission. My new job is requesting for police clearance from any country I have lived in the past 10 years.

You can get it in many ways but you need to go online, get the SA police clearance form, get thumbprint done at your nearest police station, and send the form, your proof of payment for the clearance, and a copy of the ID /passport you used last in SA.


To submit and get it less than 2 weeks, you have to use police clearance fast track agents here in SA. Could cost between 3k to 5k rands

If you have time and its not urgent, just send those documents to someone in SA who can help you send it to Pretoria for processing.


I know this cos have done this 4 times for different pple in the past 3 months. They got the police clearance in a week. They are in UK and Canada.

Unfortunately I can't help because I'm going to be out of SA in the next few weeks.

Someone told me that if I change Noc at any stage,that it will affect the whole thing.

Primary means main Noc.. It can only be 1. And that should be the one you have more experience in. My primary noc was for a role i left a year ago and even though I'm no longer in the role, the Noc is where i had over 6 years experience..

Whatever you put as primary noc you must have all the needed supporting documents to support your application. As long as the NOC is on the eligible skills list, it should be fine, provided you are in FSW stream. If it's pnp you have to stick to the NOC you were invited for.

Too risky tho, to bw changing this like primary noc post ITA..

Not really. If it the rejection was on an older expired passport, Just add a comment in the box saying you were denied and why.. No need to upload the denial page.

But for the passport you currently have, you need to upload a copy of all its pages with stamps or visas, whether it has a rejected page or not.

My concern is that I have a full time job. However, I have a side hustle and few years ago, I registered it with the CAC. In addition, my husband registered several companies and included me as a Director in these companies. Lastly, I’m a lawyer and the company I work for has subsidiary companies where I serve as the Secretary. None of these companies were listed in my EE profile, except my full time job which fetched me points for 3 years under work experience.

How do I present these in my Personal Activity. Do I list these companies under Employment or Organization? I don’t want it to seem as if I have several employments running concurrently, and at the same time, I don’t want to misrepresent.

Employment means something full time, you have an offer letter and maybe even payslips.

Side hustle is not employment no matter how prestigious the side hustle is. It doesn't make your application more worthy than others.

Just make sure there are no gaps in your personal history. In my opinion, if you dont have reference to the side hustle on paper or any online site, don't include it if it will conflict other things. They will check LinkedIn and any online sources.

There's a possibility they will ask for proof. I had the same experience.

Whatever you do, write a letter of explanation to explain and mention that it was a side commitment.

Every invite is based on primary applicant. Not spouse or Dependents

Really worried about this oh. My AOR is the same date and POF Is short by about 600CAD using the new rate.

They use the exchange rate on the day of your submission to determine if your pof is valid and enough

My advice for anyone is to always put a bit extra over the pof. Like 500cad extra just to be safe.. It is a sacrifice considering how long pplw wait to even get ita. Why get it and risk a rejection because of pof?

Well that depends on if Russia classifies it has criminal. Wait for russia to give the police clearance and if they mention it, write a letter of explanation to clarify what happened to the VO. Then that should be fine, especially if it happened years ago and not recently

The one thing IRCC does not like is not stating everything important. If you have a permanent residency from SA, that is still valid , meaning you were in South africa within the past 3 years, then You need to indicate in your application under Identification documents. Once you indicate that you have another countries permanent residency, then when you want to upload documents you will see the upload button for the Permanent residency you indicated.

I also have an SA PR, and I indicated in my profile. I then combined the copy of my PR document & my SA ID in one pdf and uploaded when I saw the button to upload it. I submitted and got my AOR 2 weeks ago. I have a couple of people as well who did the same and are already in Canada.

A permanent residency is not something you undermine. especially if your personal history shows that you were in South africa at some point..

Just apply online, the process is easy. You will be requested to go and do biometrics though I was still robbed of 20k when I got to the office, they insisted I pay 20k else they won’t capture me and of course it is to a personal account.

So can you share the link to apply online?
Also what happens to people who are not in Nigeria? Because not everyone can go to their office

If you recently received ITA i advise you to go and process Nigerian police clearance asap.

They have recently changed the commander at alagbon and the whole police clearance process is changing. Now you may require NIN, an online payment and a very problematic process in alagbon. You don't have much time so don't wait till last minute like me.. Now I'm begging police officers left and right to assist in anyway possible.
