Hi guys.. I received ita last week, an di have some questions. For employment reference, i have an experience from april 2018 to feb 2020 But my employer changed name around June 2019. 2019. However when i was filling the work experience form in ircc, i just put the most recent name of the company as company name. My offer letter was on the old name.(it had my duties and roles) Some of my payslips were from the new name. My reference letter from the company Has their new name and everything i need, but they didn't put my duties What can i do in this instance? Do i write a letter to explain the company's name change? I intend to attach every bit of documentation from this company. |
spongeisback:Give it some time.. The portal will have high visits now because of the recent draw and a lot of pple are having the same issue. Try to also use a different browser if possible. |
Prettiepearlz:Yea, seems it was the noc code of my new job that was causing the issue. I reverted back to use my former job as my new noc and that resolved the issues I'm back in the pool now. 482.fingers croseed |
Prettiepearlz:i do.. I have 70 points |
Prettiepearlz:I updated both. I even recreated my profile twice. Still got the same error and. Score showing 0. |
Please has anyone ever had issues after updating their EE profile to the new NOC code? I had 483 before updatig my profile. I have tried twice to submit ad my CRS score is showing 0. that I am not eligible. Any one facing similar issues? ![]() |
Hi people. For SAQA evaluation, if you already have a masters degree, do you need to evaluate your masters and bsc degree certificates with SAQA or you can just choose to evaluate Masters degree alone? Do they require bsc before they can evaluate masters? Also, do you need to send a physical copy to saqa or you can send soft copies of the transcripts and certificates? Thanks |
femiaction:If you still want to come to SA for masters or PhD please have a rethink. Look for other better countries. Biko.. There are many countries around the world that will give you opportunity to build a life and career after your post graduate studies. It is international students that keep contributing massively to the research in many SA unis. The least someone should get after spending 4 years on a phd or 2 years on an intensive masters program in a critical skills area, is a pr or at least a work permit. Take if from me, the hustle to come to SA to live permanently is overhyped. Things have really changed. |
Lagosboy12:Lol. 385. Pls go and boost your score and enlighten yourself about pnp. Pple who have been in the pool longer than you with 450 points and above are not even getting pnp nominations. Every province is unique. Find out what is required and position your profile to match. Its not an automatic invite. |
Blurpy:Where did i downplay the racketeering or denials? Comprehension is a problem for most of you here. ![]() I am sharing a positive experience to give people some encouragement. I don't work at the embassy. Lets keep it at that and keep it moving. T fot Tenks. |
Just here to say that don't believe every negative rejection story you read on this thread about SA visa. There is always a reason why visas are rejected, but in the midst of all that, a lot of people still get their visas approved. Someone just got a multiple entry visit visa within 2 weeks of applying in Lagos. No lobbying or any settlement. Applied, submitted all required documentations without fabricating anything. Booked hotel reservations and flights. The person submitted payslips for 6 months, bank statement with less than 200k sef, but added a dom account statement. Not sure it mattered but the person sha submitted every proof of funds. The moment you suddenly add funds to your bank account before applying for visa, its already a red flag especially for visiting visas. If you're employed, add all the required letters from your employer confirming your leave and purpose of visit. If you are self employed, add all the required documents supporting your business. Then stay positive and optimistic. Then pray for favor. People are getting visas but not all of them are on Nairaland. All d best to those still expecting results. |
This is a visa, and passport inquiry thread. We dont care about your South African insecurities. Stop derailing the thread. ![]() |
This news from SA is sad sha. Everyone was really hoping that we are done with this virus. But no. Just hoping naija doesn't implement ridiculous travel restrictions again. |
Pls i urgently need to get an appointment in vfs lagos to apply for visit visa, but right now, earliest appointment date is in December. Pls pm me if you know any one who works in vfs who can assist with getting an appointment next week. Thanks |
CaptainDee:https://dailypost.ng/2021/10/15/nigeria-announces-updated-covid-19-travel-protocol/ Find out more information from that page. But Just for everyone else to know: The Nigerian government has released the revised travel protocol into Nigeria effective Monday, 25th October, 2021. Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee and Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, issued a statement on Friday. The SGF said travellers arriving in Nigeria must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result conducted not more than 72 hours before boarding. Henceforth, unvaccinated and partially vaccinated in-bound passengers will be required to observe a mandatory 7-day self-isolation in addition to a COVID-19 PCR test on days 2 and 7 after arrival. Fully vaccinated in-bound passengers will not be required to observe the mandatory 7-days self-isolation but will be required to do a COVID-19 PCR test on day 2 of arrival. |
CaptainDee:I don't know about these questions. But my guess is you will still need a PCR test b4 you travel. Vaccinated traveller's from other the UK who have been to Nigeria recently still need to do pcr test b4 arrival. |

Just an FYI guys. You do not need any compulsory quarantine or payments if travelling to Nigeria now. South Africa has been removed from the Nigerias restricted countries list. Get vaccinated and try to travel with your proof of vaccination and you should be good. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2021/10/13/fg-removes-south-africa-turkey-brazil-from-travel-restriction-list/ Airpeace has also resumed flights from joburg to Lagos, Thursdays and Sundays.. Just sharing to help someone. |
These ones want to go to the UK ![]() |
Blurpy:Ok. Don't know about that tho. You can definitely apply from SA but the question would be why would a Nigerian diplomat want to apply for study visa to canada from SA and not from Nigeria.. Make sure you have all of the required valid documents to support your application in SA. The Canadian embassy will have to authenticate and validate your identity in SA before processing anything for you. |
Blurpy:What kind of SA temporary permit do you have? Work or study? Do you plan to apply from SA? That will put a lot of things in context. |
money1000:Turkey. Offers you better opportunities to move around Europe and get jobs after studying. SA Will not offer you anything o. Getting a pr or job after studying has now become extremely difficult, especially depending on the course you are coming to study. As a PR holder sef, I'm looking for a way out of SA. Better to be in Europe than to be in this African continent. My 2 cents. |
Failure. We do not need another over used ex governor. |
TMKsouth:You are always on a nigerian forum telling lies and never stating facts just like the other clown. Indians, Pakistanis and a bunch of others migrate here in their thousands, blend in, work their way into citizenship and but it is always Nigerians that is your problem. How many Nigerians in SA have citizenship or an SA passport? If the UK canceled visa free waivers for your country it is because of the high level of corruption in your home affairs dept. There are thousands of Nigerians migrating to the UK every year from Nigeria to work, study and settle and some pple even get their visas in less than 6 weeks. Every SA problem is not because of Nigerians abeg. Enlighten yourself and stop showing ignorance. ![]() |
This is not good. They are already milking people of hard earned money at the airport. Why is thus country bent on frustrating humans? If your web platform has issues, fix it for Heaven’s sake. After a long hectic flight, i have to come and start suffering at the already hectic airport to pay and bribe? Lord knows how much they will charge now. Maybe 200k for covid test. I saw this coming with the sudden emergence of covid testing centers all over Lagos. So sad. The world has moved on but naija wants to keep millking pple. ![]() |
Lezy:Kenya airways is your best shot. Or Qatar if you are flying from Capetown and you don't mind the long journey. I don't know when restrictions will be revised but I know they can't keep up this energy in a peak travel period like December. Just keep an eye out for info. I just know that as SA ramps up vaccinations, more countries will open up to SA. Dubai and a few others already lifted SA restrictions. |
samtol4:Lol. Not true anymore sha. Even the airlines are more reasonable now . Only show your proof of payments for your 7days post arrival covid test and also a negative result from SA. |
chrisbada:Thanks a lot |
Hi everyone. Please i need some advice. Whats the best way to apply for SA visitors visa from Nigeria now? Should the person just apply as a regular tourist and book an hotel, or does the person stand a higher chance if the person gets a proper invite from someone who lives in SA (permanent residence with a job and savings)? Fyi, the visitor is just a friend and not in any way related to the PR holder. But the visitor will be staying with the PR holder in his house in SA. The visitor has been to SA b4 for a visit and returned to Nigeria after a week. Just want to know which is best now considering all these stories about visitors visa. Thanks |
Ibrahim8258:Hi. Please did you apply to visit someone in SA or you applied to just visit as a tourist lodging in an hotel? How much did you have in your bank account? |
drtee247:Even Nigerian doctors in SA are leaving SA for Canada, Uk and Australia. You are a young doctor. Look for another country. Not trying to discourage you but today's SA is different has they hardly issue critical skills visa anymore because of high unemployment rates. Its much easier if you are in SA already on a study visa or you finished a post grad already in SA. Does SA need doctors? Yes they really do. Give it a shot if you have a lot of patience but weigh your options and dont let SA hold your passport for months while blocking you from applying to other countries. |
