Smoking is dangerous to smokers' health and the health of people around inhaling the smoke. So, knowing this fact and still partaking in it is tantamount to committing suicide, which is sinful. Smokers are also killing people around them slowly with the cigarette smokes, and of course, this is tantamount to murder. Smoking is, therefore, a double sin. But the truth is that we are all sinners striving towards perfection. |
tesppidd:Hehehehehehehehe... Man, you've made my day |
Good play from both teams. Real Madrid were in control almost throughout. Tottenham's game was just to capitalize on the few chances they would have. Beautiful football from Real Madrid: it was football made easy. |
NairalandCS:Hahahahahaha |
So far, Juventus have been very good match for Real Madrid. But from what we saw in the closing minutes of the first half, I ask myself: to what extent can Juventus withstand the pressure from Real Madrid in the second half? See you there |

I feel so sad about what the op posted. It is very discriminatory. |

I see Christianity as a journey, a long journey to our heavenly father in which we learn more as we progress through it. A Christian may not fully understand the gospel of Christ at the beginning of their Christian life, thus may commit sin due to ignorance. As they progress through the journey and in further realization of more truths, they realise that they had committed sins sometimes ago, and ask for God's forgiveness and case settled. And as a matter of fact, that someone is a christian doesn't make them lose their human nature. They face temptation of different kinds, and even persecutions. That brings about battle between the spirit and the flesh. Sometimes the spirit wins and sometimes the flesh overcome. Our duty as Christians is to try as much as possible not to let the flesh overcome, but if it does we soonest repent of our sins and restore and even strengthen more the good relationship with our heavenly Father. So Christians committing sins is not a kind of mystery like the title of the thread portrays it. It is explainable and understandable. |

Eating during burial...hmmm...I'll just say it depends on the perception of individuals. You may attend burial service and decide not to take anything if you're still overwhelmed by the loss of the dead person or if you're not hungry. The relatives of the dead may decide to entertain those that had been with them long enough (for the burials), perhaps to cure their hunger. And if the relatives feel that people are not expected to eat, then they should neither organize party nor cook. No one is going to arrest anyone for that. And like someone had stated above, it also depends on the age and life fulfillments of the person that died. Some die and people are just happy when they ponder on how glorious their lives were and how fulfilled they were in their endeavors. Does it not call for celebration when people that have lived glorious and fulfilled lives end their journey and pass on to enjoy eternal rest in the presence of our heavenly father? |
Faith in Jesus Christ is key. Without it, one cannot unite with God in his kingdom. Those who were ignorant of the gospel and faith in Jesus Christ are provided with the opportunity to receive or reject it in the spirit world (after death). |
Bnladan: Kenkeye:Good question |
tayooluwole:You're right that God gave us free will. At same time he gave us commandments and Jesus Christ laid the foundation of guidelines which we are expected to follow |
I commented on a thread https://www.nairaland.com/3181943/whats-proper-punishment-muslim-apostate sometimes ago and "I believe that there is no god/God but Allah and Muhammad is His Prophet" has been on my profile since then. Please how can I remove this from my profile? |
This list doesn't concern me because if it is not soccer, I ain't playing |
Wicked souls everywhere always looking for avenues to harm fellow humans. If a religion has a goal of bringing people to God but at same time has to kill backsliders, is that not deviation from the original goal? |

A well deserved victory for Sevilla. Liverpool was in absolute control in the first half while Sevilla appeared to be clueless. Only God knows where Sevilla energy and motivation sprang from in the second half |
