Smartphones have been with us for good number of years, the good news is that your phone has apps to help you, but then there is the bad news also too. Majority are still using their phones below its potentials. In fact our smart phones are very capable of teaching us a thing or two. Are we just users or learners ? so here comes the billion dollar question, What have you unintentionally learnt from your device so far ? http://www.infinix.club/ng/forum/687/695081 |

About MMS (Multimedia Message Service) MMS stands for "Multimedia Messaging Service", is mobile phone service that allows users to send multimedia messages to each other. This includes images, videos, and sound files. MMS is an extension of SMS (Short Message Service) , which is used to send and receive text messages. Like text messages, multimedia messages are first transmitted to a central server maintained by the cellular service provider. Once the message has been received by the server, it is forwarded to the recipient. If the recipient's phone is off or she does not have cell phone service when the message is sent, the server will hold the message and send it once the recipient's phone is available. Most modern cell phones and smartphone support MMS messaging. MMS support is typically integrated into the text messaging interface and activates automatically when needed. Do You Still Use MMS In Today's World? http://www.infinix.club/ng/forum/687/687536 |

Have you suffered from problems after an update? What do you do to prepare for an Android update? Here are simple steps to take to prevent such issues. Back up your data This is one thing I'll never get tired of saying: back up, back up, back up. The more backups the merrier, the more often the better, the more locations the safer. Get yourself a cloud backup service, use a free app such as Helium, copy files to your computer with a USB cable, email yourself stuff, make a N android – just do whatever it takes. The point is that you do it. And then you do it again, just to be sure. Charge your battery It's important that your Android doesn't run out of power during the update. So ensure it adequately charged before you start. We recommend making sure your battery is at around 70 to 80 percent as a minimum, before you start to install any update. Take some last minute screenshots It's also a good idea to snap a couple of screenshots of your home screens and email them to yourself before you start. If you use an alternative Android launcher you can save your home screen preferences, but not if you use a stock launcher, so take a quick few screenshots of your home screens. These will serve as handy reminders that you can use to set up your phone back how you like it. The update itself won't reset your phone, but you'll see why we recommend taking screenshots in the next step. Wipe cache and factory reset Some of you may claim there's no need to factory reset after an Android update and that may be true for you. But at the very least you should clear the system cache for your Android after installing the firmware. This is the quickest and easiest way to clear up any early battery drain bugs and performance issues. A factory reset and 'start from scratch' approach with new firmware gives you the best opportunity of avoiding the problems that seem to plague users following an update. Once you've backed up all your data and installed the update, simply reboot into recovery (usually by turning your phone off and holding Power and Volume Down simultaneously, but it varies on different phones – search the site for your device) and then wipe the cache partition and factory reset. When you boot up again, simply restore your backup (or use Android's Tap & Go feature) and set your home screens back how you like them using your handy screenshots as a reference. Ensure your device is not rooted This has to be the most important, rooted device have system functions altered which in turn runs the risk of crashing such devices, it is advisable you do not root you’re your device. Bugs can be annoying and be like a back pain in the spine but the usual performance and battery issues, random reboots and crazy app behavior can generally be avoided. http://www.infinix.club/ng/forum/687/395301 |

Who remembers the first Android devices? The ones who came sporting hard buttons keys on the front and sides of the device. At present we have two types of button layouts out in vogue which are purely virtual keys and a combination of hard keys plus capacitive ones. We can also say comfort and user preference come into play when making a choice between both options so let’s have your opinion. Which do your prefer between physical and virtual keys? |

Good morning my people People have differing opinions about the notch. Some see it as a necessary quirk as OEMs push the limits of “bezel-less” displays. Others see otherwise and have differing opinions. What are your thoughts on this latest smartphone trend? Does it bother you? Would you buy a phone with a display notch? http://www.infinix.club/forum/687/636178 |
