hmmmmm. this one no be small thing o. In the first place if she trust her man then why delay in giving him the key so they can both be save. on another thought I think the man is wicked and selfish, he is not trustworthy. why wait for her to pass him the key when he can swing her/lift her up to safety and she unlocks him immediately she is up or pass him the key.
what's the assurance that he will get the key if she throws the key up while still hanging there, the key wunt fall back into the ocean where none of then can reach it. To me it's a simple logic. They can both reach a mutual agreement and get out of that ish or stay there forever.
