Over the Moon- Dr. Sid |
Cooler Than Me- Mike Posner |
~Sissy~:Why Naomi?!?! I've made excuses for you in the past, but why this?! This is what happens when someone forgets that the weave is not growing out of their scalp and isn't their real hair. Because I know if I had that going on under my weave, I'd let the weave sit the way its obviously supposed to, covering my bald spots (ok patches. . . ok sections), not shift it into a side pony as if it's the hair God gave me, exposing my secrets to the world. |
I read mostly fiction because for me books are linked to leisure and entertainment, so they're an escape or an adventure or a way of transcending where you are or what you're going through or your situation in real life at that time. I'd pretty much read any genre of fiction even though romance and classics are my favourites. I read general fiction too, thrillers/ mystery/ suspense, fantasy, christian fiction, and young adult fiction, anything. I rarely read non-fiction but when I do it's mostly humor. My nightmare book genre would probably be self-help/ motivational. I'm not really into that at all and it's just not really a genre I normally invest in. However, if it was the only thing left I had to read in the world and I had no access to other genres, I'd rather read a self-help/ motivational book than read nothing at all. |

Ok so for the past 2-3 days, a song I heard on radio (shout out to my fave Wazobia FM!) has been stuck in my head, but I don't know who sings it or what it's called. I don't think it's a new song because it sounds somewhat familiar. The thing is I only remember 2 actual sentences/lyrics from the song. And nobody I've asked seems to know what I'm talking about. I've googled the lyrics but can't find anything so. . . here I am asking this dumb question here. It's song by (a) male artist(s). It's a catchy dancehall-ish song so I imagine it must be at least somewhat popular. The lyrics I remember are: "I feel like I'm flying over the moon" X2 and "The way you dance all over me, the way you dance all over me, dey make me kolo e" Please tell me what this song is if you know it, because it's driving me (and the people around me) crazy because I keep humming it and I don't know what it is! |
Santeria- Sublime |
Take Me On The Floor- The Veronicas |
justkunmi:I just got into this show last week and absolutely adore it!!! I saw the pilot when it came out and thought it was ok but somehow forgot about it all this time. Anyway, I just got season 1 and season 2, but not season 3 yet though! @ topic, Big Bang Theory 1 & 2 Lie To Me 2 The IT Crowd 1 (again), 2 & 3 Gossip Girl (I'm trying hard to be into it because I just got gifted the series box set; it's not really my thing, but ah well. . . will keep trying) So You Think You Can Dance 7 |
Probably around 5 inches if its a platform. But if I'm expected to walk or stand around for a while (i.e. not just sit around and flash my sexy shoes), I keep it to around 3-3.5 inches. |
Wild Rain- Christine Feehan |
Just discovered Big Bang Theory and it's my new favourite thing. Still watching current seasons of So You Think You Can Dance and Lie To Me |
I think B is the best option! People will assist you and be on your side and you look mature and can take the moral high ground. A is pointless. . . because the girl will then have to re-enter the fray to rescue you/ run away, neither of which will be positive for her. C is silly (because it fools no one) and dangerous (because what if no one holds you back and the guy is provoked to come to attack you). D is cowardly and makes you look bad, and no matter how cowardly one is, it's never nice to be blatant about it. |
@ Onchedu, Fair enough. I understand and agree! No one should be pressured by society or whatever to have their bush a certain way, I mean it IS your private area which you can keep as you and your partner like, groomed or not. |
It's not that creepy. I think as people get older, the age difference matters less because ok there's 7 years difference and it's fine but if she was 17 and he was 24, it wouldn't be as fine y'know. The rule I've heard of for these things is the "half-your-age-plus-seven" rule (u divide the guy's age by 2 and add 7 to get the acceptable minimum age of girl he can date) . So like since your friend is 28, he shouldn't date a girl under 21 or it would be sketchy. If he was 35, then he shouldn't date a girl under 24-25. But all these things are silly-ish as long as they're both of age and they have a connection deeper than a ("sugar relationship") and they get each other an if that's the case then it's not that shady. Personally I probably wouldn't want to go more than 5 or 6 years older (best case 1-3yrs older) but if the connection and love is there, it's not a deal-breaker. |
^^^^ I think you're right that it's a personal choice and ofcourse shaving or trimming doesn't meen you have to go completely bare, but I'd imagine that a bit of a trim once in a while (not necessarily supershort just so you're not Rapunzel down-below) just so hairs aren't too long is fair even just for hygiene and comfort reasons. Or are you advocating a completely untouched long-haired forest? |
^^^^ My one experience with male strippers is similarly unfortunate. It was at a club (I went to support a friend who was doing a safe sex program there) that was ok a gay-ish club (tho I didn't realize immediately) and they had male go-go dancers stripping to thongs and shaking it fast on platforms/stages aroud the room and in suspended glass boxes (don't ask). It was mostly enjoyed by older women and gay men who were really yelling and cheering. The rest of us were just trying to avoid the liberally-flying droplets of oil and sweat flying from the dancers' bodies- major ewww!!! They may have been physically fine but sooooo greasy and unsexy that honestly- I still regularly need brain bleach when I think about it. |
I think I'd be on Team "People-that-shave-or-at-minimum-trim." Ones' bush needs to be groomed, we're not in the wilderness. I get the impression that underground grooming is something girls think about more than guys. Although recently at nysc camp, I saw some rather frightening untamed situations in the girls' hostel. |
I don't find it hot at all. I think it's laughably unsexy and even somewhat homoerotic for a grown man to be gyrating and trying to look sexy so yeah, it's a definite no for me. |
I think sex was created by God for the enjoyment of married couples and as long as there's love and respect between the couple as they share intimacy, and the specific act doesn't hurt either spouse but brings them pleasure/joy, it's fine. In Songs of Solomon, there are all sorts of verses that could be interpreted as referring to oral "intimacy" (self-censoring for NL). I used to be pretty familiar with S of S ( ) and I just did a quick flip through right now and check S of S chapter 2 and 4 (I'm sure there are more, it's not exactly a long book, so you can check it pretty quickly) and there are relevant references to "tasting," "savouring" and "eating" "fruits of the body" both from a male to female and female to male perspective. Also, even the books of law (Leviticus & Numbers) which to be honest have a problem with many things and are really specific about what is and isn't permissible don't specifically condemn oral. So, I believe between a married couple, it's fine as long as it's something both husband and wife are comfortable with. |
Murder Game- Christine Feehan & 100 Love Sonnets/ Cien Sonetos de Amor by Pablo Neruda |
Predatory Game by Christine Feehan & 100 Love Sonnets/ Cien Sonetos de Amor by Pablo Neruda (I'm not really that into poetry, but I borrowed this a few years ago from a friend, then semi-stole (with permission o, I'm not that kind of thief) it because it was soooo good, but then felt bad/guilty and so returned it. Finally got my own copy. Definitely my favourite book of poetry. I mean who can resist verses like: I don't have enough time to celebrate your hair One by one I should detail your hairs and praise them Other lovers want to live with particular eyes; I only want to be your stylist or Of all the stars I admired, drenched in various rivers and mists I chose only the one I love. Since then I sleep with the night. |
Finishing up Conspiracy Game and starting on Deadly Game by Christine Feehan |
Fhemmmy:No I totally get the challenges from a seller's point of view, with costs and making enough profit to make the business worthwhile but also look at it from a consumer's point of view, it gets to a point where the prices don't make sense anymore like compared to what you're getting from a product, so you're pretty willing to give someone you know who's travelling the money to buy you a bottle or two of your desired product and save yourself the hassle or look for an alternate cheaper product. And let's be honest, many sellers are QUITE exploitative with prices in order to make huge profits (200-500% of the cost), and they get away with it because there are people who will pay. And that's fine, and it is what it is, because ultimately, no one is forcing anyone to buy anything, but we're all suffering the same "Nigerian condition" and I don't have more of a voice with the government than you do. Believe me, I want your export to be affordable to you so that hopefully that affordability trickles down to me. |
