I served in that local govt beside ahoada. ( emohua) and I can say for a fact that is the only thing they do during cds not just clearance days! The painful fact during my time was any time I tried to start a revolt I got comments like " shebi you be doctor, you no dey cut no put sand for our garri". " it's only grass now don't be proud" etc The LI is one annoying short man and we always had a run in at clearance! It got do bad that the CMD of my hospital had to intervene and warn the guy! It's painful many corners when you talk with them cannot see what's wrong with those pictures. You spend 4,5 6 years in school and you are posted to a community to help bring your technical know how to the development of the community, but one guy who is barely qualified begins to Lord it over you! |

I watched the pageant yesterday and I must say it was a show of shame. Not on the part of the contestants, but on the part of the organisers. An auditing house was contracted to calculate results from the online votes cast. The final five was chosen. Musical break of about 15 min followed Then Miraculously a sheet of paper was passed to the MC and a sixth team was added to the top five! Then five minutes later results are being called and my mom watching with me prophesies that the sixth team will win cos this is nigeria. We all reject are statement. Surprisingly team six wins Funny though you can see real guilt on the winning child's face What message has been passed to all the contesting kids pls? |

I served in rivers state in 2013 and I can say from an outsiders perspective that amaechi wad one of the best governors in the country! Every road in port Harcourt that was In good condition was constructed during his tenure! All the health centres were world class buildings and he built 120, not counting the primary schools all over the state! All rivers state doctors got cars and also I think the lawyers were also given! I hate APC but I will say the truth amaechi tried! 1 Like |

Family / Re: Pls Help!! My Wife Fought With My Mother Following A Quarrel. What Should I Do? by Tbamo(m): 10:39am On Mar 28, 2015 |
1.A man shall leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife! 2. What God has joined together let no one ( MIL) put asunder! 3.Your mother came to your house, not the other way around! 4. She wanted a picture that did not belong to her! 5. She was rejected! 6. She took laws into her hands most likely insulting your wife! 7. She brought support ( your aunt and her friend)who must have joined in insulting your wife and ganged up on her 8. Your mother went further and slapped your wife! Now at this point your mother has done three wrong things, while the only thing 'wrong' your wife has done is to reject ur mothers request for pictures 9.Now ur wife is frustrated and retaliates! Which is legal ( using a self defence argument) Was your mother slapped by her own mother in law? See your mother is playing on sentiments! Right now your question does not show love for your wife! Let your mother steam after a while she will calm down! Stay with your wife! Kiss get tell her you love her and support her! If the tables were turned and your wife's mother slapped you who do you think she would have supported! Of course it's you! 4 Likes |

Reference:There are more expatriates in ibadan than ph! Ask the relevant sources! I love In ph and most of the expats don't have a house they can point to except the ones living in shell camp! In ibadan there are estates in jericho that are predominantly white, the old bodija white population, lebanon street, and iyaganku is filled with the coffee skinned Indians! Dont let the fallacy of oil make you think that's the only thing attractive in nigeria. I concede there may be more Caucasians in ph but on a whole there are more expatriates in ibadan! |
Travel / Re: Most Livable Cities In Nigeria For Expatriates by Tbamo(m): 9:57am On Mar 07, 2015 |
tivta: I live in ph and grew up in ibadan! No white man goes out in ph without an armed guard and they don't live there most have their families domiciled in Lagos! Go to ibadan and see white boys playing set on the main roads! Only in ibadan will you see white women in the local markets moving without fear and even haggling like pros! I have worked in warri delta which you mentioned and the white men live like prisoners! |

freshcvv:Actually ibadan already has the second largest expat population after lagos due to its relative peace! In fact a Lebanese guy is one of the king makers in the town and the governors wife is half arab! I had so many expat as school mates in isi so free call the census board if it's really paining you! |

Toluwarni: Road network is bad? Dude I grew up in ib and now live in ph and on a daily basis I miss ibadan road network! It may not be comparable to Abuja but it sure beats most cities in nigeria. It's the only city where u will call ur guys from the four ends of the city and they can meet up in one hour! |

Religion / Re: Popular Nigerian Pastors Who Were Born Muslims (Photos) by Tbamo(m): 12:33pm On Feb 22, 2015 |
ALISMILE:Even Christianity does not ascribe the power of conversion to man. We as Christians are told to plant seeds and God does the conversion not us! So in answer to you only God compels a change of heart! But what islam does is geographical conversion, where a town is conquered by jihadists and all none adherents are pushed out and that's what we have had in the towns Isis and BokoHaram have conquered! 1 Like |

ALISMILE:Brother no need for insults oh! If you read my earlier comment I said islam as used force in the past in Turkey, and most of the Arab world and that is the template of geographical conquest that islam as thrived by! You now asked for links of Isis converts which I gave you! When arguing and multiple premises are laid before you don't grasp at straws and cherry pick which ones you want to attack! Face the arguement as a whole! And dude I'm a first rate brain! And arguably my pedigree is one of the best nigeria can offer! |

ALISMILE:What are u saying? Isis don't have converts? All the conqueror needs is not you but your children that would be forced to see things hos own way and not yours! Isis have a lot of Muslims doing PR because they know the truth |
Religion / Re: Popular Nigerian Pastors Who Were Born Muslims (Photos) by Tbamo(m): 10:27am On Feb 22, 2015 |
ALISMILE:So what has been the method of growth of islam? I'll tell you In alexandria jihad and forced conversion In constantinople jihad and killing of the men In judea jihad In Syria jihqd I can go on and on! The fact that the modern muslim tries to hide is that jihad has another meaning! It means in actual fact what Isis and boko harm have been screaming at Muslims for a while now! 1 Like 1 Share |

Shalek: But you Muslims think we can't read or are gullible. All any one needs to do is to Google violent verses of the quran and see that in actual fact book harm, Isis, alqueda, etc are the real muslims And not you liberalised ones trying to imbibe christian tenets into a form of tolerant pseudo islam! 2 Likes |

Ahmeduana: But any religion that deprives it practitioners the right to raise questions, criticise and decide to leave is not a religion! Free will is the one thing that God has given man! Any force that does not allow you practice that free will is a tyranny! Religion should be a swinging door that swings both ways ( orson Scott card in shadow if the hegemon!) Isis and all other terrorist groups are the other end of a spectrum of young people questioning a faulty pretext! The other end has millions of young Muslims converting to Christianity in the Arab world on a monthly basis ( Google is ur friend!) What is clear is that the mindless deaths for the sake of the hedonistic illusion if 72 virgins will soon end as soon as the millennial development goal of education has held sway! 1 Like |
Health / Re: NMA On Assualt/attack Of Doctors At Their Duty Post by Tbamo(m): 10:03pm On Feb 01, 2015 |
zeezahbee: Even in the US where you work a doctor is always the head of a team in the HOSPITALS! So when nigeria gets it right and finally privatises the hospitals, many of the lazy pharmacists that run into the federal ministry of health to get a govt job and later get bored with acting as local champions to the cleaners, will be booted out and only the real smart ones will be able to secure employments in their rightful places I.e drug labs! |
Health / Re: NMA On Assualt/attack Of Doctors At Their Duty Post by Tbamo(m): 9:28pm On Feb 01, 2015 |
zeezahbee: Finally a smart pharmacist, not the fellow rambling above! We do not say that overall MBBS is superior to pharmacy, what we say is that in our own turf we are superior based on services rendered especially in third world hospitals like those in nigeria! Based on the qualifications you claim to have I bet you are not stuck in a Nigerian hospital screaming with johesu folks! Pharmacists are so much more than hospital drug dispensers they have been reduced to in nigeria! Secondly I won't go to Gsk for example and claim I'm supposed to be head of a team doing drug development cos I'm a doctor! That's the pertinent point we doctors are trying to make! |

kay1one: Hehehe comprehensive quotient! Right now I not sure the guy is what he claims he his! I know a lot of pharmacists and they sound a lot smarter! Many are regretting being in the boat their superiors have dropped them in cos they want to sweeten their pension pots! But this guy is just funny the way he makes his arguments ( like doctors sent death threats to a pharmacist, a pharm technician cross checks prescriptions and not the pharmacist etc) scare me oh! 1 Like |

Lagusta: You forgot to add gatemen? What the pharmacists did not bargain for was that when the laid their bed with illiterates, the underlying uncouth behaviours of their bed mates were going to prevail! Now they are looking to cover up the situation! When doctors were on strike we carried out peaceful protests like civilised humans not the animalistic rampages with senior matrons carrying logs of wood and screaming like banshees! 4 Likes 1 Share |
