Snitch24: This is a show of shame What's the US doing about it Why US? What is League of Arab nations doing about it? Saudi, UAE, Turkey, Iran Iraq are all watching but them no put mouth. I have a strong believe that these nations are in support of what is going on in Afghanistan if not they would have intervene. If we can all recall this is the same scenario that almost played out in Syria immediately after the Arab spring but Bashir Al Asad never allowed insurgents to take over his county because he is a democratically elected government. I am not judging him or supporting the attrocities he might have committed. Ideological warfare is a very difficult war to win. Majority of the Afghanistan are in support of the Taliban. |

Afam4eva: I really don't understand why people are sentimental and bias about this issue.
It makes more sense for the Edo state Government to keep it since where the bronzes were taken are now under their jurisdiction.
The reason it should not be handed over to the Oba of Benin is because the traditional system has no recognized role under the constitution and there are no checks and balances to check the excesses of the traditional body. For instance, what stops the present Oba from keeping those bronzes as his personal property if handed over to him. The Oba won't keep it as a personal property. He requested that a museum be built Within the palace premises and the artifacts be kept in the museum Which is a welcome development. It will add more to the prestige to the Benin culture, The Benin royal stool and the state at large |

Officialgarri: We know the reason Sahara published this is to attract criticism and insults to the senator.
But if we are to be wise and reason beyond politics and party hatred, this is also part of an achievement of the representative of a constituency.
Communication is key, yet there are so many areas, villages in Nigeria that till date, they can't make calls easily. I am certain I'm not the only one who have experienced this. Some places even have just one network provider. And imagine if the only browsing network available is GLO . You will get stranded.
Many areas suffer bandit attacks because there's no way they could reach out to people in town of impending attacks.
Now, someone has decided to invite Network providers to an area he represents and it's a crime that they he celebrated that his request was granted. Na wa oh. Is he a senator for Airtel ni? This is nothing but political recklessness.

konfusedgee: There is a guy in an organization of which I work for, he holds a higher position and as such he is the bossy type who love to feel like an important person,,
My organization needed to purchase some new cars and he was the one in charge of the planning and purchase, after the cars were bought it was discovered that he requested for kickbacks from the vendor,
he was almost sacked but instead was recently demoted to my office on the same position, Due to some key responsibilities I have in the office I'm in charge of some activities,,, Here is the problem, he isolates himself,, still behaves like he's a superior, acts bossy and doesn't want to associate with other colleagues or in discharging his duties.
How do I handle such a person?? How do I approach the situation accordingly,,, make I clear the guy put am for him place or I should just be complacent? Guys help out The simple term is that he is disgruntled. What you will do to put him in check is that give him a lawful official instruction and wait to see if he will comply. If he doesn't issue him a query. Just wait and watch if he complies. If not issue him the second query. His ego will come down |
