FamilyRe: Wedding In Absentia Using Pictures: Your Take by TCD: 6:45pm On Aug 20, 2012
Tgirl4real: Ur point exactly? Why bother to do the party then when it's not that necessary?
doesnt matter however they choose to do the party, point is at the end of the day, the marriage is valid.
FamilyRe: Wedding In Absentia Using Pictures: Your Take by TCD: 8:41am On Aug 20, 2012
I think you people wrongly assume the act of marriage is the "ceremony". Its not. Its from the heart, a promise you make from the depths of your soul and spirit whether it be by phone, or telegraph. The ceremony is just for show, to let people know we're officially married, to have witnesses or for the legal system to issue certificate. so doesn't matter if its a stick that represents the bride or groom in that wedding party.

I doubt God cares about your marriage certificate or wedding ceremony. God does not need any signed witnesses, because he was right there with you two. Once two people "agree" to be married and exchange vows to that effect, weather by phone or email, undersea or in space, in jail or mortuary, they are seen by God as married. You don't need a priest, judge, lawyer or parents to be married in the sight of God. After all two people can agree in prayer, make vows or covenants with God in their basements and God takes it as valid.

If you need a ceremony and party to validate the connection you and your spouse have and bond you into marriage maybe you shouldn't be getting married. Most times, you know the heart of someone not by what they say in a public gathering, but what they say to you when you're all alone gazing deeply into each other's eyes.

alstacs: This hiding of posts by TCD by the mod is becoming serious oh. No profanity, nothing.
TCD, u sure say una no de compete for or de fight over chinchins? grin
I decided to go back, at least while i wait to update my PB, to get familiar with all the tutorials and solutions proferred in the past but they are not just there.
I sat down occasionally to wonder if I just dreamt about those posts, maybe they never existed.
TCD, stop sharing women with them oh....

FamilyRe: Mother In Law Has Destroyed My Marriage Due To Husband's Mamas Boy Nature by TCD: 3:23pm On Aug 18, 2012
Kobojunkie: You don't think US or Nigeria when considering these things, you think COMMON SENSE, "If I was in this woman's shoes, how would I want to be treated". We are all human beings, and we all have an idea how we want to be treated by our fellow man, let alone those we love. Those ideals should have nothing to do with what country you are from or what gender you are.
My dear, there is nothing like universal common sense. This "idea" of how you want to be treated, you were not born with it. Rather it was shaped by the society you have grown up in, the culture your interactions and learnings. In essence was shaped by the environment you found yourself in.
in other words, its Your Bias.

if you were born amongst the Kayan people of burma, you'll probably reason its "common sense" and beautiful to put painful discomforting brass coils around your neck to enlongate them to giraffe level. If this culture had conquered the world the way the romans did, you would have been typing this post today with your giraffe sized neck and be very sure of yourself.

My point is, its a different society in india with different dynamics that none of us here understands. The poster will be better served asking advice from indian married folks who understand the intricacies of the society and how things work over there.

Music/RadioRe: Did Psquare Steal Timaya's 'Bum Bum Song For Alingo? by TCD: 10:04am On Aug 18, 2012
ace1: Even Timaya got dat singing pattern from Frank D'Nero's song titled "Banger" buh he made his own sound diff a bit. P Square just lifted everything. If u avnt heard "Banger", I pasted the link on this thread. Listen and let's see if u'll still be defending P Square
i just listened to the banger, and it sounds really similar to the alingo than the rubbish bum bum song people are making noise about.

Like I said, this is the dance track style that's in vogue now, p square has committed no crime releasing a track to meet that demand. Afterall they didn't copy any lyrics and those beats have been around for quite awhile now and almost everybody has sampled it.
Music/RadioRe: Did Psquare Steal Timaya's 'Bum Bum Song For Alingo? by TCD:
ogugua88: You hear the song sef? It's not about shaking. It's about how they sang it. They used Timaya's style from "Shake Your Bum". Timaya knows it too. Anyone that mentions "Alingo" and "Shake Your Bum" on twitter gets a retweet.
YES I listened to both songs and replayed them side by side. oh so now its no longer them "lifting verses" its now using "Timaya's Style"? Anyone who sings reaggae is copying bob marley, right? Or who sings RnB is copying R kelly. All RnB songs sound alike in some way and that's no crime. That's why they are grouped under the same genre of music. So if psquare decide to make a dance track from Timaya's genre how is that a crime? Most new songs I hear especially from upcoming artistes sound like that, everybody knows dance tracks like that are in demand. Inyanya's hit song kukere has the exact same beat wonder what you folks are crying about.

Even the intro of timay's bum bum song sounds like Terry G, so do some parts of the song where he keeps mumbling like Terry G, wonder why you people don't accuse him of copying Terry G's style.

Jobless People on twitter are just looking for something to talk, and I'm not surprised some attention seeking people just mention those so timaya can retweet them.
Music/RadioRe: Did Psquare Steal Timaya's 'Bum Bum Song For Alingo? by TCD: 6:14pm On Aug 17, 2012
Wonder how the two songs are similar. Just listened to both and you lot are just exaggerating and being unnecessarily dramatic . Waste of time.
The lyrics are so different. So anyone who sings about shaking a..as is copying timaya? Is it his father that invented bu,tt shaking?

FamilyRe: Mother In Law Has Destroyed My Marriage Due To Husband's Mamas Boy Nature by TCD: 7:29am On Aug 16, 2012
In india, women actually pay dowry to the grooms family to get married to a man. Its a different culture over there, so using Nigerian or US culture as a yardstick doesn't make much sense.

drumme: Okay. In my previous post I wrote PB update issue is a network and Rims update server issue too. My discovery is that because we all use naija ip address. Technically RIMS server will first listen to other ip addresses from other countries like UK. Us. Canada n likes. This is because naija ip globally has been given limited access to most corporate servers in the world for a reason we all know (God help n save the youth's of this country).

The tweak and solution is look for a way of changing your ip address to other countries the best is Canada cos that's where rims server is. USA n UK ip too works great. This way your update will finish under 1hr so long ur Internet is fast. Note don't use proxy ips but strong vpn connection. Goodluck everyone.
Thanks for posting this, had no idea ip is a determinant in your access to rim servers for update. Luckily for me, never had such difficulties. I really hoe this helps someone.

Although I've experimented with vpn's and proxies and was able to load via wifi a pb update for the North American region, to see if there are any extra goodies worth having. Had to use a friends paid private vpn service though. free vpn I found it difficult to find ones that work.

So like 2010 said, could you please describe how you set yours up and where you got the free vpn (if that's what you used) so those having problems can do so too. Thanks

alstacs: Now, its my turn to lament and shout at RIM for doing this. I guess the most feasible option i have now left is this psudo-server cos all the other ones were met with recurrent interrupted connection. I understand the tutorial fairly. however, i have been searching for the OS itself, cant get from any site. do u have a link to any site i can download it?
Dont know why i didnt beg Oga Fhemmmmy to do this aspect of the config for me
download an array of PB OS's here, download OS 2.0 not OS 1

Niiade: This updating is big rubbish from blackberry o, Kai spent five hours updating the oS, just leaving the office at 10pm only for the stuff to stop n ask for restart at 412mb out of 509mb. I have consumed about 2.5gb in downloading n still its not complete. If it doesn't work this wEekend Lord know selling it is the next greatest idea.
I don tire
Sorry my brother, I know how you feel. Its frustrating. Luckily Blackberry is doing away with this compulsory update with the new OS2.1.

Like spoilerx has adviced above try another network, but this one MTN don increase their 3Gb to 7K, maybe looking to airtel and others, with good 3G service in your area will be best.

Btw, airtel 1200 BIS can be used as Mobile hotspot, but they only give 1GB. Once used it for my OS reload.

Niiade: TCD thanks for the response om I have been using swift to update it both night n day still no headway.
Regarding the method I am using the PB itself, didn't know I could update using desktop manager, first time update.
Funny thing it neva continues from where it stop earlier.
It always say download stopped and the only option is to reset after reseting it shows try again or turn off PB.
TCD can I have ur pin. This is mine 27F4E94A.thanks
the blame should lie with your swift connection, it keeps getting interrupted. Don't have a bb phone now, about to get a new one though,.

Niiade: This updating thing na wa o, Been on it for the second day o, no stable internet it just stops halfways and I have to restart and start all over again.
Any update secrets to updating o.I don die
Try doing it at night, networks generally stable then. Btw, which method and connection are you using? From the way you keep restarting all over again after each interruption, I'll assume it's desktop manager you're using. If you use the PB itself to update, it just resumes from where it stopped the last time and continues the download of the update from there.

" no sharable device", "sharing mode", these are all strange to me. There is nothing like these in my connectify even when I have nothing. Wonder which you're using. There's a link to the cracked version of connectify I posted here sometime ago. Download that instead.

dont understand this. There is no place in connectify where you select "device".

Did they put a gun to your head and force you to buy the blackberry?

I don't understand people these days. You heard about a device from people instead of you to use the Internet to research on the device and find out if it fits your needs in a phone, you did not. Now you're coming to the same internet you refused to use to whine and complain. No be you do yourself?

souljaboi51: Dnt really like the play book, wanted apple but unfortunately, the person i sent bought the wifi only version and there is no way of returning it since nobody is travelling. So, that's where am stuck
even if you get an ipad with sim card slot, it'll still suck the same amount of data, so getting a 3G ipad isn't the solution to your problem.

You can subscribe for MTN Internet bundles on the same line you have your BIS, though not too cheap at least it's cheaper than "Pay as you go" browsing you're doing now.

If paying for those data plans is too expensive for you or you want to browse on a tablet with your unlimited BIS , then like others have told you, you shoulda gotten a playbook.
