Throw d bonababe and teething powder away. Do u hv a thermometer? Wots his temp?Any cough? If d fever has persisted for up to 2days despite pcm, go to d hsptl.

Mothers in the house o, has anyone had to resign from work to take care of her baby and then got back to work wen the baby was older? I want to do this but with unemployment wahala, should I just endure with nannies or just resign. My baby isn't getting the care she deserves.

Motherhood is really nt easy. I think ur baby's welfare shld come first? wots d nature of ur current job? who looks after d baby nw? schl abi nanny? u need to consider various alternatives first, b4 u decide.

Of course, asthmatic women take in, carry to term and deliver healthy babies, so don't think its smthg dat can't b done. there re safe drugs bt nt smthg I ll advice u to get from pple's recommendations here. u need to b properly followed up.
Did u say u ve had 3 xrays in ur lifetym, and u don't want to do anoda cos u re afraid of cancer? 3? Let afraid not catch u o, lol. Just follow ur DR's directive. u need to c a Dr u trust.

@kendrallmai, guess u re in d hospital nw.Since ur water has broken, e don b, b dat.Labor ll set in soon. Don't worry, it will end in praise. Ur baby's heartbeat shld b monitored closely(esp cos of dat greenish color). Follow ur DR's advice.

The mucus is catarr like n a bit clothy, even I ve changed my pant 2 times ds mornin, dou am stil Waitin and expectin more intense sign as u mamas sugested.

Its ur mucus plug, coming off small small. D main show is blood stained. u may wish to wait for contractions to set in. Hope ur hsptl isn't so far off. If nothing happens by 2mrw, u can just go to d hsptl to b checked since its ur first.

Its possible to hv two periods in one month, if u hv a short cycle. u cld see it at d beginning of d month, and then towards d end of same month. What s ur cycle length?

@Havefaith222, U ll b able to resume normal activities after cerclage including kpekusing. U ll just rest for a few days then continue ur normal stuffs. Follow ur drs directions and feel free to ask him/her whatever questions u want to.

No b bucket u go use na. Na big 'baff' wet get wide mouth. U kno d type u use to wash bedsheets/curtain. Then u actually SIT IN d water. warm water, comfortable to sit in. u fit dey there dey press ur fone sef,lol.

I love ur idea and it has crossed my mind too but i work in Ops unit in a bank and once u become a supervisor u will be moved around often especially when someone in another branch goes on leave so what this means is dt i may be in Ikeja for now then if someone in mushin branch or any branch within ikeja region goes on leave,i will have to go and relief the person so d creche that was close enough at d time may end up being far when im on relief. At d moment i stay at Ogba but my hubby works on d island and drives 4hrs every evening so we are considering moving towards yaba gbagada side so im thinking if i put my baby in creche by december when nanny leaves,will i change her creche again if we move in april. The idea of using a creche close to d office wkd av bn perfect if i will always be in a particular branch. But i guess dat is still my best option for now. Thanks a lot mamas. I really hope i dont go crazy worrying so much.

How about getting another nanny? She can come few weeks b4 d current one leaves so both u and ur baby get used to her.

@Hernyolar, its a good thing ur baby s taking adult food. What u can do, is to reduce frequency of d cerelac. For eg, if u used to hv her 3-4 times a day u reduce to once or twice.U shld still continue giving her formular plus BM so she gets required nutrients. Personally, I think cerelac s one of d cheapest cereals in d market. Most others are more expensive. Pap nko? Its way cheaper and nutritious too. Well done mama.

check d pack to confirm dat it contains those, in the right proportion.Iron up to 600mg dly, folic acid up to 400microgram dly. If it does, then its ok

Thank God d sac s OK. ur baby s fyn. Would hv preferred u start ur antenatal meds(iron, folic acid, calcium) instead of d astymin/astyfer. u can discuss it wt ur Dr on ur next appointment. happy bumping.

D points u made earlier are actually valid and I agree dat women shldnt reject cs if its d safest means of delivery.What I m trying to say is dat medicine s individualized, and u never say never in medicine. For d index patient, I see no need for cs just based on d fact dat her baby weighed 3.8kg from scan.That was d only basis d Dr used.He didn't tell her anything abt pelvic inadequacy or CPD. U ll agree wt me dat some drs perform cs just cos of d increased cash involved, esp in private practice. As sad as it is, dats d truth. Most gynaecologists don't rely on pelvimetry these days. D practice s usu to allow every woman try par vaginum(except of course there's an absolute contraindication). Shoe size can b used too, its like a crude method of assessment. Welcome on board ma.

you didn't assess her pelvis, you don't know the type of pelvis or diameters of the various distance in the pelvimetry. For some women a 3kg baby maybe too big for them. You assess the diameter of the baby's head to the mothers pelvis. It's not a static thing it's different for each woman

Sm1 asked of d woman's height or aren't we talking of d same person. She can gv us her shoe size. Of course, u kno we cld hv an estimate of pelvic adequacy from that.

When a doctor says you can't deliver a big baby cos of the weight it's not absolute but he or she says it cos you might be one of the unfortunate ones who suffer consequences for such action. Consequences to the mother vvf -when you can't hold pee, limping from damage to sciatic nerve, separation of the public bones, that's the bone below your abdomen, rectovaginal fistula pooing thru the vaginas, cervical tears which can cause severe bleeding, vaginally tears and so on. For the baby , it could be death, a low apgar score this could lead the child to have things like cerebral palsy or mumu, low iq, sepsis this can also lead to death of the baby, shoulder dystopia after delivery of the head the shoulder will be stuck, bone fractures, nerve injuries which could lead to paralysis of some part of the body and so on. So please when being adamant of vaginally delivery of a big baby think thoroughly what you would prefer to be alive with a healthy baby or otherwise. Ensure your pelvis is adequate for such birth. To me a healthy mother and a healthy baby surpasses these risks. Thanks

For d case at hand, d baby isn't even up to 4kg. To tell u d truth, some drs flash d cs card to mothers cos more money s involved. For this particular case, I don't see anything wrong wt her trying vaginal delivery first.

Nothing to b scared of. Caput s a sign dat d baby s in distress. Like d second Dr said, u cld deliver par vaginum wt caput, esp since the cervix was almost fully dilated.

congratulations to all latest mama that just delivered. I wish all remaining September mamas save delivery. I delivered on 21/9/15 but lost d baby on Saturday morning. Allah knows best and He giveth and taketh.
