Hello mothers in the house, I will appreciate your advice on this issue. I also want to believe that I may not be the only one experiencing it, so mothers who have been there, how did you handle it.

I am a working mum and on the average I leave home 7am to come back 7pm. Hence, I have a stay-in help who I leave my baby with while I work. LO is now 9months.
On weekends, I have more time with LO and my older daughter but I also have other things to attend to - market, cooking, sometimes salon, outings etc. My Sunday self is busy with church activities. I also juggle work, family with studies.

Most times, when I get back from work I feel bad and guilty for my kids for leaving them in the care of someone else. But I have no option for now than to work, for the family's survival.

You can imagine how bad I felt when I overheard my help telling some people in church that my LO is very attached to her than to anyone else including me. My help is about 26years.
Should I be worried that she is getting attached to someone else other than her parent?

I ll be worried if I were u. As I gv my opinion. I m also talking to myself. Re prioritize, let family come first for u after God. Ur help is big as in old enuf to b a mother, who knows what she tells ur LO in ur absence, she s probably being his mother in ur absence. Whenenevr u re home, carry him. Let there b some special moments btwn u two. play wt him. mk out tym during d weekend too to b wt him. u may need to cut down on church activity if it doesn't permit u to attend wt ur child. May God help us all to b better mums. May no one take our place in raising our kids for us in Jesus' name Amen!

Ur baby don big na.lol. mine came at 7months plus. I just announced my bfp few days ago. my DS s 8months today and yes, I m still breastfeeding. So, brace up, be strong b happy, eat healthy. cheers

FALSE!! Microwave emits non-ionizing radiation as opposed to xray etc that emits inonizing radiation continuous exposure of wch may b a risk factor for cancer.

So I have this job I want to leave after maternity, I told my husband and he says its ok but feels I should get another first before I leave as a baby is coming and we need every cent. So I started applying for jobs last week hoping I could get some interviews during mat leave.

I'm crazy about marketing but I hardly get call backs because I studied Microbiology and no one wants to take me seriously.
The point of all this my long tori is I got an interview with a marketing agency, I'm 24 weeks pregnant so yeah I'm showing already I don't know what I'm going to do. And yes its tomorrow.

First of all, calm down mama, as emotions can also affect breastmilk production. U can be expressing in d meantym while u ensure he/she s properly positioned during breastfeeding.Pls don't stop breastfeeding as its too early for that.

From 1yr up, ur baby can take d regular adult milk, so buy any of ur choice.

Well done mama, ur decision to make ur baby food urself is a good one. u can mk and store in ur freezer. that's what I do. for d rice cereal, brown rice is actually healthier(even for adults), u can buy it in any good supermarket, its affordable. just grind in d market and prepare. dissolve in water and bring to boil while stirring continuously. serve wt milk. if u decide to use d regular rice. its d same procedure too.

got mine @ lagoon in February.

@MetroTee, u can start as soon as he clocks 6months. Start giving water. U can start wt any of d fruits. till date, my baby hasn't taken any commercial cereal and he s 7months plus. I started wt pap(I make @home wt millet and guineacorn) , then I pureed banana, then I introduced other varieties eg, sweet potato and chicken/fish, sweet potato and carrot etc. he also eats garri small small. I ve also bought brown rice BT I m yet to grind it. He takes quaker oats too. U ll still continue to gv him milk and his main milk factory of course. At d onset, he may resist BT keep trying until he gets used to it. Introduce one type of food per tym.

Google has it that if a baby can sit up, hold his head, doubled his birth weight, shows interest when one eats and baby is on big size, then he can start solid at 4months.
With YouTube video coupled with the baby food I learnt here, I went to market, bought oat, popatoes, apple, banana and mashed bowl.
With all eagerness, I made banana puree on day 1. With style I fed him. Day 2, I made mashed potatoes, it was tug of war to feed him few teaspoons. Day 3, I made Oats soup after blending it, he cried so tey I've decided to exclusive breastfeeding till 6months. Only thing is that he's always hungry as his tummy always flattened few minutes of feeding for a long time

At 4months, he isn't ready for mashed foods. that wld b from 7 months. Pureed foods, maybe bt not mashed. u cld just be giving small small till he gets used to d diff tastes.
