Gave birth almost 24hrs ago and up till this point there's not a single drop of breast milk.
I have tried pap tea hot liquids etc but nothing. Baby now refuses to latch on cos nothing comes out ndy beautiful bobo is obviously hungry. I'm
almost in tears myself.

What else can I do

Emotion too cld affect milk production.So stop worrying. Its nt abnormal for ur breastmilk nt to hv started flowing.Increase ur fluid intake and keep putting baby to breast. In d meantime, gv d young man formula so he doesnt starve biko.

2) For how long had he taken peak123 b4 u noticed d frequent stooling?
3)Wot else does ur lo eat apart frm d milk.
Also note dat inmost cases of diarrhoea in children, hygiene s usu implicated.

@tchiwinnie n other mamas dat experienced dis pls come to my rescue oo, my LO is having Earache i noticed it yesterday morning when she touched her ear n started crying, even when i tried touching she wont allow me, (no discharge) last night she couldnt sleep, i took her to see a doc this morning, after checking d ear he gave us malaria drugs( Lonart despersable, locinnant or so n a cough syrub) meanwhile we treated malaria just two weeks ago n she was given injection for three days( Arthemeter pls dont mind d spelling) n drugs( fansidar n dis same Locinnant, wit vit c n paracetamol) n we just completed d drugs on friday. pls can i still give her d malaria drugs again? n for the ear pain will dis same drugs stop it? she has cough n running nose for more than three weeks now, she no longer eat well like she use to for more than three weeks. sorry for d long torri, plss i make una help us oooo

Sorry, just seeing this. Since u just completed antimalarial treatment recently, i ll advice u do an mp first b4 taking any oda antimalaria. D lonat wont tk care of d ear pain. Wot ur lo likely has is otitis media. How old is he/she. Mayb u shld tk him to see a paediatrician. Does any oda person hv catarrh arnd him/her? If yes, d person shld b treated.

I agree wt lovinam on this. Tv can be really addictive for kids. I prefer educative toys. U can browse delightfultoys.com to see sone educative toys per age group. Since we can control d tv they watch in school, let dat one b enough for them.

I just changed from cerelac and NaN to pap and myboy because he refused it.

I was tired of preparing his food and later throwing it away. So last Monday I tried that semo stuff one mama talked about. He took it well but I don't like the smell, so Thursday, I switched to pap.

Was actually abt suggesting u switch to NAN. Have u tried oda cereals?friso, heinz gerber etc. Also try wot pple hv suggested abt titus fish. Add egg yolk too. I can imagine its nt easy, but its a good thing he s achieving his milestones. Well done mama

DH works til sat and uses his sun to rest, he coms bak late frm work cos of lagos hold-up, my only assigned job is to do d normal wife chores in d aos bt I can't even keep up to task*sad face*. My 7m onths old boy won't lemme leave his side. He plays on his own bt I av to b there wt him else he's cry of fall *learning to stand on his own*. DH doesn't buy d idea of creche for LO cos he feels I'm not doing anytin so I gat no excuse. I'm even afraid of some creche nowadays dt wl giv ur child syprigold. Meanwhile, my LO would play on his own b4 bt after he clocked 3months, he just changed, he won't even sleep in d aftnu(He doesn't cry oo). He won't lemme bak him wen he's nt sleeping, now sef he has refused his formula and na only bossom milk making my work double. I cry most times cos *i don't kno sha*. I c my aos chores dt I'm suppose to do bt I can't even finish up and wen DH com, I wl stl b in d kitchen preparing dinner. I envy mothers that had pple around them to carry their baby for them while dey av time to do 1 or 2 tins. Ds my appartment na mind ur own business, nobody to talk to........sooo boring and annoying

Sorry mama, I can imagine wot u re going thru. I think u shld form a schedule. U cld wake up a little earlier than ur LO and get some work done. Then u cld also train ur child to b a little independent. For eg, u cld leave him on his own on a padded floor for some tym checking on him periodically, u cld spray toys to keep him busy. Dont always carry him at d slightest whinning. Cooking in bulk too ll help. Its nt easy, jisike.

I plan to give it out once my baby out grows it. The bed don try and besides I'm not planing to birth another o! Lol. Seriously go for wooden bed, it last waaaay longer than the cloth type. All I do is to change the foam and bedding after each baby. It still looks the way it did when I got it. It was pretty expensive , I rem it was not less than 40k nd I cried bitterly after the purchase. Lmao! Oya who de rejoice now! ! Always go for quality stuff. I got it at the mothercare shop elpina plaza VI then o!

He takes pap and my boy formula. He also takes adult food but in small quantity.

Ok then, good to kno he s achieving milestones. Thats real good news. Still he needs to put on more weight. Does he struggle while eating or eats easily?Is his pap well fortified?Any frequent stooling? There s this thing we usu gv malnourished babies-plumply nuts. In all, he needs to b seen by a dr so dat serial weighing ll b done and progress monitored.

@rezzy, 5.6kg is below d normal weight for a 7month old. Abeg stop d agbo. Its not good at all for dat delicate kidney. Pls and pls tk dat child to a good hospital for proper evaluation. Na u kno wot u suffer during labor, push dat baby out so dont allow pressure frm anybody to mk u do wot s wrong, abeg. How re his milestones? Is he sitting yet? Crawling? Wot does he eat currently?

I say BUY it. I've had mine for 10years and counting. Its still strong kakaraka. Its a mother care wooden cot. Go for the wooden one. It helps baby become slightly independent( no clingy tins) it makes their transition to childrens room easy. It easy to store too and its adjustable. ( Un screw and pack up)

Wow 10yrs! Biko can i see a pix? Whr did u buy and for how much. My son still sleeps wt me and i really wonder when he ll start sleeping on his own. Want to get one so dat my oda children ll sleep on their own frm day 1.
