Good one but it will take years before china can even come close to Russia not to talk of US in military capabilities. They don't even have the technology for making the engine of J-15 jet they are flying (It's Russia supplied but difficult to reverse engineered). The only deterrence they have is nuclear weapon. I think this century is still, substantially, an American century.

Can u imagine that everybody connected to football in Nigeria make money (e.g. Magazines, radio, TV stations, individual journos etc) except the NFF themselves who actually hold the juiciest marketable assets?

The Super Eagles, all other national teams, Federations Cup, Nigeria Premier League, National Pro-League, Super Cup etc are combined assets that should fetch the NFF at least N20Billion p.a. if properly ran!!

I am against personal names on that very ground thou, that the new owner will have little choice than to rename the outfit. So had it been FC Owerri, it will be more compelling to keep the name and the brand. Sports business thrive on brand names and this matters on the long run. See how easy it was for Unilag folks to make FG back down on renaming the institution just cuz the brand attachment was so strong.

Suppose that the Glazers rename Manchester United today to FC MR. GLAZERS...that will be the last time I will have anything to do with that football club forever.

Interestingly, the Chinese market is considerable with or without the rest of us. With a population of 1.5billion people who are mostly young middle class and financially well to do, the Chinese national market is more than the "global" market reach of most football leagues in Europe.

I don't know what projects have been prioritised in the government's US$30B plan but I know the five key infrastructure I feel Lagos needs urgently to earn the mega city claim.

1) Robust mass transit rail system.

2) Statewide portable water system.

3) 10,000MW dedicated electric power grid.

4) Statewide pipe-to-home cooking gas system.

5) Local council estates (with statewide capacity of 1,000,000 flats).

Another important way that pastors can avoid scandal is to come clean with the money.

Set up an audit team, standard approval procedure, double level authorization, periodic statements and releases etc.

It is so so immoral to collect offerings and tithes and "seeds" and "first fruits" from parishioners and at the end, these guys have only vague idea how much was collected or what the funds were used for!!

Should the church not have in place a mechanism to inform the members monthly, weekly etc about; total collections, operational costs, expenses, remittance to head quarters, acquisitions, savings and balance brought forward? And if the church took a bank loan, should the members not have an idea of the loan amount, current balances, repayment, past dues, tenure and purpose??

That all churches keep the bulk of their financial activities away from their members is the very reason why I am a happy atheist and consider church a kind of ponzi scheme!!!

First off, it is Rwanda. Then especially, that country didn't "fight war for many years" as you suggest.

Yes there was notorious ethnic clashes from the fifties, low level rebellion by Tutsis from camps in Uganda and of course those 100 days in the raining season of 1994 when 900,000 people were lost to ethnic cleansing. These do not equate to your statement above suggesting that Rwanda was war torn for many years. You probably referred to Congo and/or Angola.

He must not know that some white folks are stark illiterate in places like Albania and cannot even write their own names.
