I just logged onto to my portal, just to check as usual and there's an update - Medical Passed. This is a huge miracle for me because of an underlying health condition, but God has proved Himself again. I was super worried because I had to do additional medical tests and the medical report I submitted was quite disturbing to me, as this was a requirement for QLife to uphold my report. I can't wait to update this post with PPR requests for myself and my daughter.
Timeline Application Submitted: May 14th Upfront Medical: May 14th Biometrics Done: May 23rd Biometric Update: May 24th Medical Report Submitted, and the result transmitted from QLife to IRCC: June 8th (It took UCH almost a month to issue me a medical report even with active follow-up. Submitted Webform: June 21st - uploaded the E-medical forms because I saw a lot of comments that upfront medical form should be sent via webform and only got an automated response. I only provided the numbers when I submitted my application on May 14th. I have been super scared but kept confessing positive things concerning this journey, especially since i'm for Fall 2022 and any request for addition medical tests would be tough with how the spaces keep getting filled up. Medical Passed: July 2nd
I logged up to my portal now, and that Medical Passed can only be God. My daughter's medicals is yet to be updated but not worried because she's got a clean bill of health. The last email i got from IRCC was on May 14th for Biometrics so I always check into my portal every other day. My faith is strengthened that our PPRs are dropping soon. Congratulations. My journey to Canada began in 2014, when I submitted an application for the Federal Skilled Workers program. I sent my documents to Canada in December of 2014, and in April of 2015, I called to inquire about the status of my application, only to be informed that it had been returned to my address because the NOC that I applied for was full. I never received those documents back.
I was devastated, having invested time, effort, and money. My then agent requested that I reapply immediately through the newly introduced express entry program, as I met all of the requirements but was too emotionally exhausted to undergo the process again. I basically gave up on the Canadian dream.
Life goes on.
In 2017, my wife and I made the decision to try again. In 2018, I entered the pool, but my points were just too low to get an invitation to apply. I also applied for PNP in some provinces, but I wasn't selected.
This time, however, we resolved not to give up. We will keep trying.
Going to Canada through study was never appealing to me.
All that changed last year, when we decided to try the study route. I came here to learn the requirements and the process involved. I was astounded by the quantity of information I received. I read parts 18–20 to gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire process. I discovered that I could do it myself after receiving loads of information here.
I applied and got admitted to some schools, but decided to settle for Seneca College (1 year program PG).
After paying the 1st semester tuition fees in February, I realized that the available funds would not be enough to show proof of funds. We then decided to sell one of our properties. From the proceeds of the sales, I was able to pay the second semester tuition fees and send some money to my spouse's account for family upkeep (I did all these things to demonstrate that the lump sum was not intended for demonstration purposes).
Timeline: Application submitted May 11th, 2022. Biometric was done on the 16th of May, 2022 and was updated the same day. I booked June 20, 2022 for an upfront medical at IOM. Medical request in the early hours of June 18th. Omo I was excited. Medical done: 20th of June Medical updated: 22nd of June. BVL: 30 June 2022 PPR: 30 June 2022

A guy I did medical with on the 20th had his medical updated on the 23rd and received PPR on the 24th, so I was concerned when I didn't receive PPR after my medical was updated to pass. Due to this, anxiety nearly killed me.I was wondering why I had not yet received PPR and what could have caused the delay. Yesterday at 4 p.m., I began sending emails to a number of email addresses found on this page. I submitted a web form to Nairobi as well. Then, I received the golden mail this morning. I believe that the email and web form did the trick.

I cried my eyes out & almost lost all hope, called my agent to ask for a way forward and if I should stop attending classes & defer the remaining semesters. The thought of the time, energy & money spent made the tears roll out well �
P.s- I had resumed classes online (started January, 2022),it hasn’t been a funny situation especially with the time difference & economy issues but I thank God & I am currently in my second semester in centennial college. It’s a 2years program.
*Back to my timeline gist* After careful review of my previous application, it was spotted that my Dad’s account(my sponsor) had an explained lump sum of about 13m that entered at once. So we knew where to tackle while waiting for my GCMS notes.
Things I did differently; Gave a detailed LOE of the lump sum Printed a new bank statement, this time the opening balance covered the lump sum with more inflow compared to the last statement I paid my full tuition for the first year Got a notarized gift of deed of 5m in my personal account Submitted my first semester Academic transcript Added a lot of Prayers too (very important)
Second Application: Submitted April 10, 2022 Eligibility review started: May 11, 2022 PPR: June 1st, 2022

I am here to share my testimony so as to encourage others not to give up. I also read the success stories of others and learnt a lot and I am very excited to share mine with you all.
First Application - June 18, 2021 Refusal - Sept 21, 2021 Application for gcms notes - Sept 21,2021 Gcms notes received - Oct 27, 2021
Second Application - April 13, 2022 PPR - June 1, 2022
What did I do differently? The refusal was based on two grounds - Purpose of my visit and Personal assets and financial status. From the gcms notes, the rationale for those reasons were pointed out.
The first time, I did it all by myself. The second time, I decided this time around I needed the guidance of an expert to give it my best shot as I re-apply and so I contacted @justmellow of gcmswriters. website :www.gcmswriters.com and IG/Twitter/Telegram: @GCMSWriters handle. He is in deed an expert and can tackle refusal cases. He was my guide all through the process and he also wrote the two powerful write ups I submitted - The LOE and SOP.
For my first reason of Purpose of visit, that was tackled through the wonderful compelling write ups. The VO made an error by concluding that my choice of program and previous study and employment history had no correlation. That was wrong. My program was perfectly in line with my employment history and that was spelt out clearly in the LOE submitted.
For the second reason that has to do with financial status and personal assets, a lot of work had to be done here on this serious issue for about 6 months. That was from October 2021 till April 2022, I tell you, a whole lot of work really had to be done to build my financial status so that a better financial representation can submitted this time around. My bank accounts had to run for 6 months, from October all the way to April to give a better outcome. More assets and investments had to be put into the application. Investments, business and employment documents and so on were put in plus the outstanding letter of re-consideration that was very mind blowing and technical.
This time around, I applied as Self sponsored and did not use "third party sponsor" as I did in the first application.
I tackled every point written by the VO in my gcms notes and left no stone unturned with the help of the exceptional guide who helped me all the way. When it was time to submit, he went through the final compilation and vetted, certified it good to go and I submitted it myself via my GCkey account.
To cut the long story short, I got the wonderful news on June 1, 2022. I am so excited. I am very happy I didn't give up and decided to re-fire. The truth is - I was very discouraged and almost gave up but I am happy I gave a shot and a better one at that the second time.
I give God the glory for making this a reality. And I want to encourage you all not to give up. Many got theirs on the 2nd and 3rd attempts. Just apply for your gcms notes to get a clearer picture and the exact red flags pointed out and give it another shot. Don't give up, just believe God, put in your best, get all the professional guidance you can get and it will come out successful. Wishing you all the very best. Glory to God!!!

hesjay: My journey and efforts to study abroad started in 2013 but I would fast forward it to 2015. I tried several times to secure admission but no success until 2018 when I got admission in Seneca college.
First Application study visa submitted on 4 February 2019 through an agent but was refused 4 April 2019. Reason: Purpose of visit Second Application study visa submitted April 18 2019, refused 25 May 2019. Reason: Purpose, Asset and TH. Third Application - Visitor visa through an agent again. Submitted September 24, 2019. Refused 25 October 2019. Reason: No genuine business purpose. Fourth Application through another agent- visit. Submitted 10 December 2019. After 2 months of submission I called for withdrawal due to the fact that the agent was not sincere. I thereafter contacted Mr Frank who used his expertise to get me admission for Master program. Fifth Application study visa submitted 24 August 2020 but was refused 24 September 2020. Reasons: Purpose, Asset, Ties and TH. Sixth Application study visa submitted on 11 September 2021 but refused 27 October 2021. Reasons: Asset and Ties. At this point, I became frustrated and tired. But God just sent Makano to me and everything changed. He first of all calmed me down and encouraged me. He even gave me an instance of an applicant on this forum with similar experience of several refusals. After his consolation, Makano sacrificed and put in his best, with very affordable, I repeat very affordable fee for my Seventh application. Makano requested for my previous GCMS notes and after he studied them, he told me that once I provided him the documents he would request for, my next application would be approved. I just yinmu that what was this one saying, Lol. He also ordered me to pay full one year tuition. In fact en, that Makano is a wizard, I remembered one of my company clients (a diplomat) from one European country offered recommendation letter in addition to my application. Well, I was aspiring to type lot of story but my trip was quite short and simple than expected. No much questioning at allll. Airline: Egyptair Time: 14:00 on 2nd of May 2022
I got to Airport at 9am to avoid crowd ahead of travel time. I was the second person attended to for boarding pass. Baggage: 29kg and 30km Hand luggage: 12kg
I had lot of loads that I couldn't afford to drop some as I did some cargo ahead self for my fiancée in Toronto, That's why I had lots still. So I did bargain with the personnel who did calculation and said I will pay 75USD for extra to upgraded baggage of 32kg. I used Naija way reduce ham to 50USD as I hid some other baggage earlier sef. It was more. So we sha added all of them to the bags since I've paid. Lot of milk, fish and food items. Document requested: ArriveCan, Vaccination card, Passport then Got my boarding pass.
I waited with my family for pictures till 12noon before moving in. Advice, Avoid crowdy entry. A friend here told me to go through Gate E which I did. Very simple. Immigration passed me quickly without much questioning. The man was gisting with me sef giving me the right pronunciation of Toronto that I will blend soon. He checked the Acceptance letter and stamped me.
Money declaration man, He got interested in me that I paid full tuition fee (Big Boy) then We started family gist ooo when I said I am not a big boi. That it is Owo omo oni iru, omo alata, lol. At some point I was avoiding his gist but He was loving it, discussing with a young man about Life. He eventually said Good luck out there, Off you go.
Peace... Got to airline session, the lady there started gist too, then I kept thinking which soap did I use sef that They want to be making friends and not even doing usual Bambiala, Lol... She said Go in peace too. We left Lagos Exactly 2pm. Meals and movie on egyptair was great, I ate all. Arrived Egypt at 8:30pm and waited for our 5 hours stopover. Left exactly 1:30am as they asked same document; Passport, ArriveCan, and Vaccination card.
Ate 3 meals before morning, They have amazing movies. All great. I made an Egypt-Canadian friend on the plane (Husband and Wife) They were awesome. watched same movies, Ate same meal as they were so cool.
Arrived Canada 1:48pm Nigerian time (8:48am Canadian time). Note: Kindly fill your declaration form online before leaving Nigeria to save you stress. Went to self-declaration machine to scan my passport and I got my ticket once under 20secs.
First level asked me for passport and declaration ticket then Proceeded to another for first time arrival permits. Devil wanted to work small but God gat it under control. We were asked for letter of Introduction; My hands was dried that I needed spit to sort my document (Nigerian way) then this woman just shouted at me: SO RUDE, I DON'T NEED YOUR PAPERS... I was like Alaye calm down na, I needed to separate my papers na, I had to bring out my hand sanitizer to satisfy her, Yet she said She told me she's not interested in my papers that I should bring just my passport then she went to print it herself, Alakoba. Avoid using spit for paper sorting.
I was shaking that I didn't even know when I gave her my passport, I think she picked it herself cuz she told me to sit. Then I was looking for passport that Village people don come o.
When I was called, and I saw my passport with the person, then I felt more relaxed. No much question asked. He just asked me for which school and course then He gave me my study permit and work permit.
Bless God. Fiancée came to pick me. Drove me home then I realize I didn't waste money. This land is beautiful sha. I drove later in the evening to get some stuffs like a road learner. Forget your Jason Statham skills in Nigeria, When you reach here, You gatz learn, Lol. So organized.
