This post is directed primarily to my friends, DeepSight, and Boomark. I am trying to get you guys to understand who Jesus Christ is and that, clearly, He is the Jehovah of the Old Testament. Now, Boomark, remember you spoke about John 1.1 and said it shows 2 Gods, not one, right? Now, here is another verse that shows 2 Gods. But this is coming from the Old Testament. Zechariah 2:8-9 For thus saith the Lord of hosts: After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. 9 For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me. Now, from reading the Old Testament, you will learn that Jehovah is the Lord of Hosts. In the 2 verses above, the Lord of Hosts was sent to the nations by whom? Answer: The Lord of Hosts. So we have 2 personages bearing the title of God. Jesus Christ was the Lord of Hosts to the children of Israel, just as His Father was. He was their Lord and God, yet He obeyed His Father. Another passage Exodus 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them. Here again, we see 2 personages. Here, Jehovah is speaking, telling Moses that He appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, using the name of someone else while His own name, Jehovah, was hidden from them. He told them that He was using the name of God Almighty, but that was not His name, Jehovah, and His Father had different names, but Jehovah often came in the name of His Father. Bookmark, remember you brought up Acts 3:13 [13] The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has given divine glory to his Servant Jesus. But you handed him over to the authorities, and you rejected him in Pilate's presence, even after Pilate had decided to set him free. Exodus 6:3 should help you understand that now. Jesus Christ (Jehovah) appeared to these men not in His name but in the name of His Father (God Almighty). So yes, you can see why the verse calls His Father, The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors. Now you will ask, are there other verses to show that Jesus Christ (Jehovah) could use the Father's name? The answer is yes. Here are a few. John 5:43 I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not receive me John 17:11–12 Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me Philippians 2:9–11 God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name Hebrews 1:4 Having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs. DeepSight, my guy, you say that you have read the Bible 14 times, so let me ask, when you read the verses I quoted above, what came to your mind? In Summary, My goal is to explain that Jesus Christ is the Jehovah spoken of in the Old Testament, while still being different from God the Father. I am not saying there are two separate gods like in pagan beliefs. Instead, I am saying there are two divine persons who share God’s titles, power, and purpose, and this idea already appears in the Bible. Some people say that verses like John 1:1 teach the idea of “two Gods,” but this idea did not begin in the New Testament. The Old Testament already includes verses where Jehovah speaks of being sent by Jehovah. This shows that more than one divine person can share the same title. In Zechariah 2:8–9, the Lord of Hosts says that the Lord of Hosts has sent Him. In the Old Testament, Jehovah is known as the Lord of Hosts. This means the passage shows Jehovah being sent by Jehovah. This tells us there are two divine persons who both rightly carry the title “Lord of Hosts.” I understand the one who is sent to be Jesus Christ, and the one who sends Him to be His Father. This matches what the New Testament teaches, where the Father sends the Son. Jesus Christ was the God of Israel—Jehovah—but He still obeyed His Father. This does not make Jesus less divine. It simply explains His role. The Bible shows that Jesus had God’s power and authority, but He followed the will of the Father who sent Him. In Exodus 6:3, Jehovah tells Moses that He appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob using the name “God Almighty,” not His own name, Jehovah. This shows that Jehovah appeared using His Father’s name and authority. This teaches us that a divine person can act in another’s name without losing who He is. This helps explain Acts 3:13, which speaks of “the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob” as the Father. Jesus Christ—Jehovah—appeared to those men, but He did so in the name of His Father, God Almighty. Because of this, the wording in Acts agrees with what is taught in Exodus. Jesus Himself said that He came in His Father’s name (John 5:43). He also said the Father gave Him His name (John 17:11–12). Paul teaches that God gave Jesus the name above every name (Philippians 2:9–11), and Hebrews says Jesus inherited a greater name than the angels (Hebrews 1:4). These verses show that Jesus carries the Father’s divine name and authority, just as Jehovah did in the Old Testament. When all of this is put together, the Bible clearly teaches that Jesus Christ is Jehovah, the God who worked with Israel, while also showing that He acted in the name, authority, and will of His Father. The difference between the Father and the Son does not deny who Jesus is. Instead, it helps us understand how God’s authority and identity are shown clearly and consistently in both the Old and New Testaments. |
Boomark:I have already given you a lengthy reply above, but let me summarize your entire post above. You claimed that Jesus Christ is not the Judge in the Old testament then below in the very next paragraphs, you provide scriptures that teach that Jesus Christ is the judge appointed by His Father. Then you claimed that Jesus is not the creator spoken about in Isaiah 44:24 [24] This is what the Lord, your Redeemer who formed you from the womb, says: I am Yahweh, who made everything; who stretched out the heavens by Myself; who alone spread out the earth; Then just below that, you went on to quote John 1:3, 14 NKJV [3] All things were made by Him, and witàhout Him nothing was made that was made. Showing that He is indeed the creator spoken about by Isaiah. Then again, another claim, you said, He is not the Savior. You quoted Isaiah 43:11 LSB [11] “I, even I, am Yahweh, and there is no savior besides Me. And just below that, you again proved He is the Savior sent by His Father, spoken of by Isaiah by quoting 3 verses that clearly state that Jesus Christ is the Savior Acts 2:36 NIrV [36] “So be sure of this, all you people of Israel. You nailed Jesus to the cross. But God has made him both Lord and Messiah.” Acts 5:31 LSB [31] This One God exalted to His right hand as a Leader and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. Acts 13:23 NKJV [23] From this man’s seed, according to the promise, God raised up for Israel a Savior—Jesus— Every one of these vesrses call Jesus Christ the Savior. Hence, He must be the one Savior spoken about in Isaiah. From the above, it's either that you just wanted to agree with me, or make a funny joke, or waste our time. All you have ended up doing is proving my point using scriptures in the Old Testament to find Christ in the New Testament. I am guessing that if your son asks you if Jesus Christ is his Savior, you will be saying no from now on. |
Boomark:You are confusing many things. I never said that 2 individuals were not mentioned in John 1.1, I only said that Jesus Christ is the God of the Old testament so most of the verses you quoted do not show in any way that He isn't the God of the Old Testament. Again, I never said He doesnt have a Father. Please, did you even read what I wrote? Now lets dismantle some of the things you wrote. Let's begin with God being the Judge. The Old Testament tells us that there is one Judge. Now you argue that He sets a day for Judgement, but that still doesn't make Him the Judge. If one man appoints the Judge and sets the day of Judgment, does that make him the judge? No. The president can appoint a judge, but that doesn't make him the judge, so your argument is dead on arrival. On creation, you only made my point. It's the Old Testament verses you quoted tells you that Yahweh is the creator, and the verse you quoted from John tells you that all things were made by Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Put the 2 together, Jesus Christ is Yahweh, that exactly is my point. On titles, Yes, you guy Nebuchadnezzar was called king of kings, but that title did not come from God, so it is not a relevant example. Jesus Christ was not given vain titles; every title He has, He earned. He is the Beginning and the end, not because He needs an extra title to praise Him, but because He is from everlasting to everlasting. SO comparing His titles to a dead king shows you are not trying to be serious. On being the Saviou You said, God the Father, the God of the Old Testament, is the only saviour. Meaning that the apostles lied when they wrote Luke 2:11 — “For unto you is born… a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Acts 5:31 — “God exalted Him… as Leader and Savior.” Titus 2:13 — “Our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Funny enough, all the verses you quoted from the New Testament said Jesus is the Saviour. Are you even reading what you are sending? Let's read the verses you quoted to see who is called the Saviour Acts 2:36 NIrV [36] “So be sure of this, all you people of Israel. You nailed Jesus to the cross. But God has made him both Lord and Messiah.” Acts 5:31 LSB [31] This One God exalted to His right hand as a Leader and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. Acts 13:23 NKJV [23] From this man’s seed, according to the promise, God raised up for Israel a Savior—Jesus— # verses from you that all teach Jesus Christ is the Saviour. The Yahweh in Isaiah 43:11 LSB [11] “I, even I, am Yahweh, And there is no savior besides Me. In the entire stuff you wrote, your only legitimate argument is here; Acts 3:13 GNT [13] The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has given divine glory to his Servant Jesus. But you handed him over to the authorities, and you rejected him in Pilate's presence, even after Pilate had decided to set him free. I give this to you. Now, let me answer Let me take you to 2 verses in the Old Testament Zechariah 2:8-9 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. 9 For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me. Here we seethe Lord of Hosts say He was sent by the Lord of Hosts. So yes, if Jesus Christ is the Lord of Hosts, His Father is also the Lord of Hosts. If He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, then His father is the same. Does this make sense to you? Now, Jesus Christ told us clearly who He is. John 8:56–58 “Before Abraham was, I AM.” Jesus directly claims: identity with the God known to Abraham, the divine name of Exodus 3:14 Psalm 110:1 “The LORD said unto my Lord Here, David makes it known that Jesus Christ is his Lord. Have I addressed all your concerns? Please let me know if I omitted anything. We are here to serve you You are welcome |
DeepSight:I answered your concerns in my last post, but I just want to give you something extra to clear your doubts. We will look at some of the verses in your initial post to me and give very short but effective answers to them. 1 Timothy 2:5 “One God… one mediator… the man Christ Jesus” My response: Yes, Jesus is the Mediator, precisely because He stands between God the Father and humanity. But mediation does not deny divinity. Moses mediated but was not divine (Deut. 5:5) Angels mediate but are not human (Gal. 3:19) What makes Christ’s mediation unique is that He is both divine and human: God from before the world (John 1:1) Man through incarnation (John 1:14) Calling Him “the man Christ Jesus” emphasizes His mortality, not the absence of deity. John 14:28 “The Father is greater than I” My response: The Father is greater in authority, not nature. The Bible itself distinguishes: Authority order (1 Cor. 11:3) Shared divine glory (John 17:5) Jesus existed before the world and shared glory with the Father—something no created being can claim (Isaiah 42: .1 Corinthians 11:3 “The head of Christ is God” My response: Headship ≠ inferiority of being. Paul uses the same structure: God to Christ Christ to man man to woman Yet: Man and woman are equal in worth (Gen. 1:27) Christ is worshiped (Matt. 14:33) Christ is Creator (Col. 1:16) Thus, hierarchy of role, not denial of divinity. Ephesians 1:15–17 “The God of our Lord Jesus Christ” My response: This verse proves distinction, not denial of Christ’s godhood. Even after resurrection: Jesus still relates to the Father as His God Yet He is simultaneously called God elsewhere (John 20:28; Heb. 1:8: ![]() The Father is God over the Son The Son is God to us Both are biblical. 1 Peter 1:3 “The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” My response: The Bible consistently teaches: The Father is God over Christ Christ is Jehovah to Israel (1 Cor. 10:4) This is functional subordination, not ontological denial. Mark 10:18 “Why do you call Me good? None is good but God” My response: Jesus is not denying goodness; He is forcing the question: If only God is good… and you call Me good… what does that imply? This is the same rhetorical method Jesus uses in: John 8:58 (“Before Abraham was, I AM”) Matthew 22:45 (David calling the Messiah “Lord”) The verse challenges the listener to recognize His divinity, not deny it. 1 Corinthians 15:28 “The Son will be subject… that God may be all in all” My response: This describes eternal order, not Christ’s loss of divinity. Even after all is complete: Christ reigns forever (Rev. 11:15) Christ is worshiped forever (Rev. 5:13) The Son eternally honors the Father’s supremacy Without ceasing to be God John 15:1–10 Vine and vinedresser imagery My response: This is relational symbolism, not ontology. Elsewhere, Jesus also says: He is the Light (John 8:12) He is the Door (John 10:9) He is the Rock (1 Cor. 10:4) Metaphor explains relationship, not essence. John 20:17 “My God and your God” My response: Yes—and just three verses later: “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28) The same chapter affirms: Jesus has a God over Him Jesus is God to Thomas John 17:1–8 “The only true God… and Jesus Christ” Response: Jesus distinguishes Himself from the Father as a person, yet says: He shared glory before the world existed (v.5) He gives eternal life (v.2) Isaiah 43:11 says only God gives salvation. Therefore: Either Jesus is God Or Isaiah is wrong The Bible chooses the first. The Father is God The Son is God They are one in purpose, not one person Jesus Christ is the Jehovah of the Old Testament: Creator (John 1:3) Rock of Israel (1 Cor. 10:4) “I AM” (John 8:58) Worshiped (Matt. 14:33) Called God (John 20:28; Heb. 1:8: ![]() |

DeepSight:So, Unity is a keyword here. In fact, Jesus Christ statment is complete unity. That is what makes Him and His Father one God. Remember, I gave you an earthly example with Trump and Vance being one government. You are right, complete unity is the Keyword. But let's understand that unity by exploring other verses They both have shared glory John 17:5 Glorify thou me… with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. They have Mutual indwelling (“in one another”) John 14:10–11 I am in the Father, and the Father in me. They have shared authority and divine functions John 5:21–23 As the Father raiseth up the dead… even so the Son quickeneth whom he will… that all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. Equal honor = divine unity They have a shared name John 17:6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me Seeing the Son = seeing the Father John 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. John 14:9 He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Knowing Christ is knowing God 1 John 2:23 He that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. And lastly, Paul taught Colossians 2:9 In him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Now, you say, Nothing can force the idea that Jesus God to ever be biblical. Let's look at Multiple verses that bibilical teach Jesus Christ is God. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. John 1.1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Hebrews 1.8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. At least 3 verses in the bible directly call Jesus Christ God. Would you agree that you are wrong? That's the honest thing to do. |
blueAgent:Thanks Sir |
DeepSight:I cant adress all your verses, but I will address just 3 or 4. I am sure the few answers I present will be useful to your other verses. 1. I Tim. 2:5 - For there is one God, and one Mediator of God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus Christ This verse is not saying that Jesus Christ is not God. Remember, Jesus Christ already told you that I and my Father are one. John 10:30-33 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. Being one God with the Father doesn't mean they are the same person, but remember, They shear the same throne. Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. John 14:28 – “I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I”. No doubt, Jesus Christ has a Father, but He and His Father are one God. The question is, how can two people be one God? But then, we first need to answer the question, What is God? How do we even define God using the bible? Is God the name of a person or an exalted state of being? Remember the words in the scripture, Psalm 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. This means that even man can attain the state of Godhood. Being one God with the Father is like saying Trump and Vance are one government. Is Trump greater than Vance? Yes. But would it be wrong to say that they make up one Government eventhough they are 2 complete and distinct individuals? I guess you are seeing the picture now. I Cor. 11:3 - “But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God The explanation above also goes for this. D6 - Mark 10:18 - “So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.” This is a good one, and maybe the last I will respond to. Remember when Christ was on earth, He did not come with His glory. John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. In fact, we are told that He was made a little less than the angels, Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. So in that state, only the Father we befiting of such glory and honour. But after His resurrection, Christ said. Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. He became almighty (Having all power). And all glory, honour, and praise was due to Him. I believe these answer most of the points and explain the verses you quoted. You must also note that Jesus Christ was God and Jehovah of the Old testament but the New Testament showed a different side of Him. It showed Him as the Son of God. But don't be confused by this, the Son of a Lion can only be a Lion as the Son of God is God. The Bible teaches one Godhead, not one person (John 17:3; John 10:30 understood as unity). The Father and the Son are distinct beings, united in will, purpose, and glory (John 17:11, 22). The Son is divine, pre-existent, creator, worshiped, and identified with Jehovah (YHWH) in the Old Testament (John 1:1–3; 1 Cor. 10:4; Heb. 1:10). These premises allow both: Jesus to be God, and Jesus to be subordinate to the Father. Subordination ≠ non-divinity. 1: ![]() The verses you listed do not deny Christ’s divinity. They define His relationship to the Father. |
do a little research. I would chose Forbes over any A.I . https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.forbes.com/sites/kenroberts/2026/01/24/its-not-just-soybeans-us-exports-of-cars-to-china-at-16-year-low/&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwjdt9mwk6mSAxUgU0EAHVIEA88QFnoECAcQAg&usg=AOvVaw0ScIBYA4ZGnizURh4HS_gx Boss, are you confused here? The article above is talking only about 2 products and only the US export to China. Oga we are talking about the US total exports, not soybeans and cars exported to China. This article below from Forbes will educate you better https://www.forbes.com/sites/kenroberts/2025/12/31/2025-heres-exports-imports-that-flew-and-those-that-didnt/ You listed 2 wars and 4 conflicts , 6 ceasefires in total where is the 8 wars that have been stopped. Like I said the media repeats something long enough people start believing it . Oga, this is still more than any human in the last 100 years. Again, DRC–Rwanda and Armenia–Azerbaijan were full-blown wars by any measure. I have been to the eastern DRC. The war there was one of the deadliest in Africa, and it was unending. Go and ask your AI if violent crime has been steady declining since 2021 ? You trying to say crime rate just started going down when trump became president is absolutely wrong . https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/22/us/murder-rate-drop-report.html&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwj38sbdlamSAxXDTkEAHZQlJpUQFnoECBMQAg&usg=AOvVaw2axZM34njUV37WaDauj6DP
You are changing the topic, but let me educate you more. The crime rate dropped by a wopping 20% in 2025.Thats the biggest drop in a long time. 5 out of the FBI's top 10 most wanted were arrested. So, while the dropping crime rate presided over by the Trump presidency, I will be a fool not to note the solid impact his administration has made. |
Fenrir:Ok |
Boomark:So what exactly is your point here? I never talked about the number of Gods, so why are you bringing it up? Again, are you saying that you worship 2 Gods? Are you into polytheism? And if you worship one God, who is the God you worship? |
Tgini:Oga lets educate you, you are the one misinformed by the media. So, I will not use the media; I will use unbiased AI to verify. Based on preliminary data for 2025, violent crime in the United States reached its lowest rate in over 30 years. The Downward Trend Since 1990 The early 1990s were the "peak" of violent crime in modern American history. Since then, there has been a dramatic decline, often referred to by sociologists as the "Great Crime Decline." Why 2025 is a Landmark Year While the official 2025 year-end report from the FBI usually takes a few months to be finalized, data from the FBI's Quarterly Uniform Crime Report and the Council on Criminal Justice show: Homicides: By the end of 2025, homicide rates in many major cities (like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago) dropped below their 2019 (pre-pandemic) levels. Violent Crime Rate: The overall violent crime rate per 100,000 people in 2025 is estimated to be lower than at any point in the 1990s, 2000s, or 2010s. The "Post-Pandemic" Correction: The spike that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic has effectively been reversed in most categories of violent crime. The Verdict: If your starting point is 1990, you are correct. You are living through one of the safest periods in the last three and a half decades. Now lets talk exports Again, you are wrong In 2025, total US export values increased, continuing a growth trend that began in 2024. While final audited figures are typically refined throughout the first quarter of 2026, preliminary data shows that the US benefited from several key economic factors. The 2025 Export Landscape The total value of US exports for 2025 rose by approximately 3% to 4% compared to 2024. This growth was driven by three main sectors: Energy Exports: The US remained a top global exporter of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and crude oil. Increased demand from Europe and parts of Asia kept the value of these exports high. Services: High-value service exports—including software, intellectual property, and financial services—saw a significant boost as global digital transformation continued. Aerospace & Tech: A recovery in aircraft deliveries and continued demand for advanced semiconductors (AI chips) added billions to the export total. Finally, let's talk Peace deals Again, you fail Here is the list The Gaza-Israel Permanent Ceasefire & Reconstruction Deal Iran–Israel War Ceasefire (June 24, 2025) DRC–Rwanda Peace Agreement (June 27 / December 4, 2025) Armenia–Azerbaijan Peace Accord (August 2025) Cambodia–Thailand Ceasefire (October 26, 2025) India–Pakistan Tensions (2025) This is more than any human in recorded History Let me know if you need more education. You are welcome |
Boomark:Sir, I have some more to add. Do you know that the goals of the Old and New Testaments are the same? Paul taught in Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith The law in the Old Testament was given to lead people to Christ, just like the New Testament. The Old Testament testifies of Him. John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. |
judewrites:You are right about one thing: the Dems will try to impeach him, but as always, he will remain in office. |
brain54:They are also wondering when people like you will get sense. In just one year, Trump has reduced violent crime in the US to its lowest since 1990. The US economy is growing at a faster rate than in the Biden economy. Inflation is less than Biden left it, but somehow, you want us to hate the man who ended 8 wars. |
DeepSight:You have your chance to show evidence. If you have nothing to show, we would not take you seriously. |
DeepSight:No verse said Jesus Christ is not and cannot ever be God; you just made that up. |
Boomark:So you disagree with your bible, are you deluded or not? Remember, we are going by your rules. Let me give you one more, In the Old Testament, we are told that God is the only rock of Israel, right? Isaiah 44:8 “Is there a God besides Me? There is no other Rock; I know not one. Now lets see who that God is, In the New Testament, we learn that the Rock is Christ 1 Corinthians 10:4 And all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ Again, we are told that we should not worship any other God but the God of the Old Testament, right? Now check this out, Matthew 14:33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. Matthew 28:9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. Matthew 28:17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. Hebrews 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. Revelation 5:12–14 Verse 12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. Verse 13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. Verse 14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever. |
Boomark:So first, I understand and agree with all the verses you quoted, so even by your standard, I am not deluded. So, according to our bible, Jesus Christ is God, and you will be deluded not to accept it. Let's read the verses. John 1.1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. Hebrew 1. 8-9 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. Now, who is the Savior? In the Old Testament, we learn that God is the Only Savior. Isaiah 43:11 — “I, even I, am the LORD, and besides me there is no savior.” Isaiah 45:21 — “There is no God besides Me, a righteous God and a Savior.” Hosea 13:4 — “You know no God but Me, and besides Me there is no savior.” So we know that there is only one Savoir and He is God, right? Now, in the New Testament, we know who God is in the Old Testament Luke 2:11 — “For unto you is born… a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Acts 5:31 — “God exalted Him… as Leader and Savior.” Titus 2:13 — “Our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” In the Old Testament, we also know that God alone is the First and Last / Beginning and End. Only one person can be the first, right? From the New Testament, we know who that God is. Revelation 1:17–18 — “I am the First and the Last… I was dead, and behold I am alive.” Revelation 22:13 — “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Isaiah 41:4 — “I, the LORD, am the first, and with the last; I am He.” Revelation 22:13 — “I am the Alpha and the Omega…” Again, we have only one creator and He is God. Isaiah 44:24 — “I, the LORD, made all things, stretching out the heavens alone.” He said He did it alone, no help. From the New Testament, we learn that Jesus Christ is the same God who created the earth John 1:3 — “All things were made through Him.” Colossians 1:16 — “By Him all things were created.” Again, we learn from the Old Testament that it will be God who will judge the earth. In the New Testament, we discovered who God is. Genesis 18:25 — “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? Psalm 96:13 — “He comes to judge the earth. John 5:22 — “The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son. 2 Timothy 4:1 — “Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead. Do you agree with the bible that Jesus Christ is the God of the Old Testament? The same God that the Old Testament says will judge the world, is the creator, is the only Savior, and is the first and the last? If you don't agree with the Bible, then you are deluded. Hope you noticed that I used multiple scriptures to back up my points, so you just have to accept them. |
Boomark:Ok, lets play your delusion Olympics game. I am going to post verses from the bible and if you disagree with any of them you would agree that you are deluded. Do you agree to the rules? Do I proceed? You are playing a foolish and aimless game but I want to oblige you, lets play the delusion game so you can learn. And mind you, I did not oppose anything you wrote before you called me delusional? You are clearly looking for a fight |
Boomark:Exactly, everyone is in delusion but you. You seem like someone who came out to pick a fight and not to discuss. Your only purpose is to shout delusion to anyone who disagrees with you. What is your mission? Why did you mention me and others? Are these the people you want to battle with? You can't go far like this. |
Boomark:Your point is that everyone that disagrees with you is under delusion. So what's your reason for mentioning all these people? I guess you called us out to tell us that we are under delusion if we don't agree with you. Ok, we get your message. You have crowned yourself the delusion tester. Weldon |
sonmvayina:You seem super confused. Your only issue with the bible writers is faith? I gave you a list of non faith historian could you please explain how any of them is more authentic than the writers of the new testament or why you have to believe them and doubt the writers of the new testament? And why do you have a problem with someone trying to save you from hell? |
AntiChristian:Actually, animals don't talk. Please do your research. Animals can communicate, but they don't talk. I am not a muslim and I don't really care about Islam and what is belittling in Islam. As I said, it doent matter if some humans would find it disgusting, we only depend on God for revelation, not Islam or your personal feelings |
AntiChristian:You just made my point. We can only know God's characteristics through revelation. So from revelation, we know that God does not lie. It is not up to you to decide His other characteristics. Now, your argument here is not really intelligent, and here is why. God is not Human but He can talk. Someone like you would argue that He shouldnt be able to speak because He isnt Human. Just because God isn't human doesn't mean He doesn't have lots of shared emotions and characteristics with Humans. We are in His image and likeness, remember? |
BodyCount:Oga, your only problem is tinubu and your village people, but keep fighting Trump ok. |
Namaster:Oga, you are one of the people making this about Israel and Palestine. |
Amayabor1:If you have a problem with a man who grabs his woman by the p*ssy, then you are a bitter person with nothing good going on in your life. I have no problem with someone making love, but people like you would enter someone else's bedroom to scrutinize what he does or doesn't do with his women. Black men like you who think the entire black race should think like you are really not smart. Why should every black man like what you like and hate the things you hate? Do you even reason at all? You want the entire black race to hate men who grab their women by the p*ssy. Oga, some of us are smarter than that |
Fiscus105:Oga, stop disgracing yourself. Check the inflation rate not the cost of cars. The inflation rate is a cumulation of all goods and services not just cars. You were sent to school for a reason. Do your own research. |
PulaPower:Oga stop disgracing yourself. Why didn't you spend 5 mins to check the US inflation rate of the last 5 years before coming here to disgrace yourself. Some of us deal on facts not emotions. |
Amayabor1:You boys are just so funny with your Trump hate. When we ask you for evidence that he is a paedophile and a rapist, you begin to bite your tongue. Meanwhile, Mandela, Kwame Nkrumah, Mahatma Gandhi, and the greatest Yoruba leader of all time, Obafemi Awolowo, are all convicted felons |
