jesusjnr2020: John 3:16 (KJV)
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (KJV) This post is so unnecessary. Just one day is set aside globally for husbands and wives to celebrate their love but you feel you have to distract. Yes, we recognise God's love but that is not the only love that is needed in our lives. We need the love of a mother so we celebrate mother's day. We need the love of a father so we celebrate father's Day. We need children, family and friends to love us. We also need the love of a woman or man as the case maybe so we set aside a day for lovers. Being a Christian doesn't and shouldn't immune us to other forms of love. And all love should be celebrated. |

naijapikin2: This is the best pictorial representation of valentine. John 3:16 says for God so LOVED the world that he gave his only begotten son......the love of God is the greatest love for vain is the help of man. Shalom 🙏 Some of us Christians really need to get serious. Valentine's day is set aside for people in a romantic relationship and there is nothing wrong with that. It is so different from John 3.16. I mean, why should we always mix things up? As Christians, the goal is not to always look stupid? We can recognise and appreciate a day in which husbands, wives, and anyone in a romantic relationship choose to celebrate without mixing it with John 3.16 and confusing everyone. |

The exporting was discouraged mostly in Africa countries. We all saw what happened when the Russia Ukraine war started with the sanctioning, it was brutal in the past Oga, there is a time for logic and a time to have correct information. Please can you name any russian world-class electronic company? There are none. Again, why is the West not brainwashing Africa when it comes to Chinese products today? North Korea is a giant in missile technology, does that make them your go to for electronics? Oga the fact remains that even in the 60s when a huge chunk of the world was under the Russian axis, Russian electronics never had a big Market. But Russian oil, minerals and agriculture have always been in the market. No one was brainwashed to stop buying Russian wheat. |

Did you know China never colonized any Africa countries. The west came ,colonized and exploited us and give us religion in exchange.
Russia was part of those who started space race, meaning electronics products mean nothing to them but the West brainwashed African to the extent I have never seen any Russia electronic products before So, Russia or even the USSR always had allies in Africa. The reason why we don't see Russian electronics is because they were not good enough to compete in the free market. Africa imports wheat and oil from Russia. I It was never about brainwashing, it was all about the free market. Even Russians depends on electronics and chips from other countries. |

But perhaps you have something else in mind, so please share. Not necessarily. This only makes it easier and cheaper for Chinese companies to obtain raw materials from Africa. Hope you know that raw materials make up the bulk of African exports to China? This is a brilliant Chinese move but it makes little or no difference for the African countries. |

Dtruthspeaker: No. You are supposed to prove what is being queried and challenged This is getting too long so let's summarise . You believe that unless God reveals if Jesus Christ married on earth, you will not obey His instructions on marriage. Unless you have prove or a sign, you will not obey your Father in Heaven. But for me, I believe we should obey even when He is yet to reveal all things to us. I wouldn't wait to know the marital status of the Saviour before I can obey Him. Does this summarise our discussion? |

Which means that you are supposed to prove that Jesus married and had children. That is your burden as a claimant and an alleger.
So, now you have admitted that there is no evidence proving your claim which you already knew before so you can see that you have spoken fallsly. Bobo be calm, I am only supposed to prove that God commanded us to marry and I have already done that. That's all I need to prove. Why is it up to me to prove what neither you nor I know? Please make it make sense. When the time comes, God will reveal all things to us but for now, it is sufficient for the wise to obey God even though we don't know all things. Just do as you are told and wait for the time of revaluation. 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. Dtruthspeaker: That is why it is called the fallacy of reversing the burden.
It is you who alleges and claims that that everyone must marry and have children to obey God. He only pointed out that Jesus did not marry nor have children.
So you are with the burden of proving that Jesus married and birthed children, if you are not lying.
So, show us where Jesus married and had children. So prove if you are not lying Bobo your request is foolish at best and here is why. I only told you what God commanded which is written in every bible. Now you are telling me that the only way you will obey your God is if I provide evidence that Jesus Christ married. Now the writers of the bible did not provide any evidence in either direction so you need me to invent evidence before you obey God's commandments clearly written in the bible. This is what Morden Christianity has become. Sir, I don't have the evidence you are asking for, so if that will stop you from obeying the written commandments of God, go ahead. Lastly it was your friend that claimed Jesus Christ did not marry without evidence yet I am the one to provide evidence in the contrary. Make it make sense. |

You are the one claiming that everyone must marry and have children to obey God. And now its been pointed out that Jesus did not marry nor have children.
So if indeed you are saying the Truth then you are the one to prove and show where Jesus married and birthed children.
So, show us where Jesus married and had children. It was not pointed that Jesus Christ did not marry. The boy thinks that Jesus Christ did not marry and he could not provide any evidence to show that. It will be stupid to argue what was not revealed. Neither of us knows if Jesus Christ married or not so any argument will be guesswork. I don't do guesswork, I do the revealed word. Thanks for your understanding |

No.
So, you see you are very very unreasonable Oga what are you saying? God's commandment was for every one Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. It was not a commandment to certain people, it was given to everyone. At this stage, you shouldn't be asking such questions. Genesis 2:18 “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” Genesis 1:28 “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth…” Genesis 9:7 “And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.” So if you choose to disobey God just because you are finding it hard, that's your business. |

If you want to plant a billion children claiming God Said you should multiply, you think anyone here would stop you?
Is it me who stopped humans from birthing 8children per wife and reduced it to 2? Or is it me who locked up marriages?
God commanded that you flee from fornications and adulteries and more but those ones you would not keep but it is se* the one that sweet you is the one you would carry for head. Oga let me go back and quote you word for word. We have already increased and multiplied and rather than replenish the earth man is destroying the earth. Even to the point that God had prophecied that marriage would be hard.
So clearly that increase and multiply plan has since been jettisoned.According to you, God's plan to increase and replenish the earth has been jettisoned and completed. So now we depend on you not God to tell us if His work is done right? Look, I get it, you probably forgot or did not take note that God commanded us to increase and multiply when you made this post. And maybe I should not have accused you of doing away with God's commandments since it was not your purpose. But now that I have brought it to your remembrance that it is a commandment from God, I think it is only right and proper for you to start looking at marriage and growing a family as the Word of God, as God's plan for you. |
Christianity Etc › Re: If You Want To Live Faithfully To God, Don't Marry! by tctrills: 11:02pm On Feb 10 |
Dtruthspeaker: We have already increased and multiplied and rather than replenish the earth man is destroying the earth. Even to the point that God had prophecied that marriage would be hard.
So clearly that increase and multiply plan has since been jettisoned.
And really i do not fully claim i understood Paul, but in the light of these i stand to be corrected that this is the understanding he had.
For he did not condemn marriage but he, a man chose and advised single hood saying we shall have "trouble of the flesh".
I know we all think and thought that trouble of the flesh should have been on virgins and single hood but he explicitly said it was married people who shall have trouble of flesh which I know we all thought was the normal cheating and adultery arising out of greed of lust.
But now I am seeing that there are many events and changes which occur in marriages leading and forcing and causing the couples to defile the marriage bed and commit adultery under the cover of reasonable and natural reason. I will only respond to your first statement. According to you, you are the one to decide that it's time we stop obeying God. The Lord never instructed man to jettison His plan but because it is hard according to you, you declare the command of God null and void. You have become God to yourself. You have decided that you are big enough to tell God and the rest of mankind when to end a direct commandment from God. |
Christianity Etc › Re: If You Want To Live Faithfully To God, Don't Marry! by tctrills: 1:50pm On Feb 10 |
Dtruthspeaker: It is now i understand why Paul did not marry and why he said he wished that we would not marry.
This guys threads and his complaints and wailings https://www.nairaland.com/8610958/like-wives-cannot-keep-up https://www.nairaland.com/8607331/never-marry-not-rich-small in addition to my own observations has finally made me come to understand why paul said don't marry
Saying that we shall suffer "the troubles of the flesh"
And now I can see that the troubles of the flesh he was referring to are these things that this guy has chosen to expose and confess clearly whilst we are all being strongheaded trying to quel these fires especially as we were not foretold of them before we married and so we all find ourselves struggling against these unexpected tides and waves in marriages.
And truly overcoming these things are very very hard and now I can say that even if the couple did not do anything wrong, marriage is too too hard that they must do something wrong. And all it takes to break it is for one party to fall for one of the travails of the flesh. Meanwhile there are many many travails, these are just the ones we have seen so far oo. Who knows what other surprise shall befall us married people.
Of which the longer we are married the harder it gets to stay faithful.
So, now I understand Paul but bros should have explained na. It's clear that you may not fully understand what Paul wrote but then would you also misunderstand the direct commandments of God? "Increase multiply and replenish the earth." Whatever you think Paul was teaching is overruled by the commandment of God. Marriage is a commandment. The Lord taught that a man will leave his house and marry and the 2 shall become one. The Lord also taught that there is a blessing for those who marry. They obtain favour from the Lord. So just because you misunderstood a verse from Paul doesn't give you the audacity to disobey the Lord. |

Unless you're claiming that being religious is the same thing as being spiritual, which I disagree with, your final summation does not make logical sense.
