Sometime, it's better to tell our people the truth. It is not fair to blame anyone hating on Nigeria. If Nigeria was a parent, she would have lost any form of loyalty and respect from her children.

Highest number of citizens that de-market their country - Nigeria.
If you mention the top 10,0000 problems of Nigeria, citizens who de-market their country would not be on the list. Nigeria has failed almost all its citizens, so don't blame them if they are not so excited about promoting a failed state.

[quote author=Janosky post=138490645]Did Jesus celebrate his birthday every year?
No, Jesus shunned birthday celebrations.
Did Paul copy Jesus example shunning birthday celebration?
Yes, 1 Corinthians 11:1 is the solid proof.
Your interpretation of Romans 14:5 is against evidence of the holy scriptures & secular history.

Confirm this fact from secular history ,pls.
Early Christians no do am.
grin

Angels cook rice & fry chicken share am give you ?

Angels rejoiced at the birth of Christ just as they rejoiced at the creation of Adam, Luke chapter 2 & Job 38:4-7.
Oga,did Angels celebrate the creation of Adam?

Please stop Deceiving yourself

grin
[/quote
Oga lets see how foolish your argument is.
Paul taught Men to love their wives, but it is not recorded that Paul had or loved his wife. Just because something is not recorded doesn't mean that the principle taught becomes false.
Romans 14:5 is perhaps the simplest verse in the bible. According to the bible, who are you to judge one for choosing to celebrate or esteem Christmas Day? I advise you to stick to the bible even if it offends the big white bosses of your organization. Trust me, they know nothing. You would be blessed following the teachings of Paul and not your corrupt white boss. For me, it's so easy, I just stick to the revealed word. I don't depend on criminals to worship.
It's good you agree that Angels celebrated the birth of Christ, so what do you have against humans doing the same?
Lastly, nowhere in the christian bible is it recorded that Angels celebrated the creation of Adam. I guess the JW have strange scriptures not found in the bible. For now, let's stick to the bible.

Did Paul who wrote Romans 14:4-5 celebrate birthdays or Christmas?
No.
1 Corinthians 11:1 Paul wrote "Imitate me as I imitate christ".
View the screenshot of your popular pastor.
Stick to the teaching he's showing you.
Oga, stop deceiving yourself.
cheesy grin
You read that Paul wrote it's a personal choice so even if he did, there was no need to announce it.
Please explain how 1 Corinthians 11.1 has to do with Christmas.

Again, we don't know if Paul celebrated the birth of Christ but we know for certain that the angels in heaven celebrated it.

Are you even listening to yourself?
Oga,where are you getting the principle to celebrate what you claim your Bible ( the teachings of Paul at Romans 14:4-5 ) did not indicate whether you should celebrate or not?

Which believer in the Roman congregation followed your spurious interpretation of Romans 14:4-5 in the days of Paul the apostle?
"Do not go beyond the things that are written." ,
Obey that injunction
or
Just continue deceiving yourself.

grin grin grin
Romans 14:4-5 actually did, It gave you the freedom to choose if you will celebrate or not, And it made it clear that you would not be judged for celebrating.
Lets read it together.
Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

First, it teaches people like you that you don't have the right to judge others for celebrating. But I know you learnt nothing here.
Then it went on to teach that the decision to celebrate or not should come from our minds. So each person can and should make their own decision.

So I ask, would you obey the instructions of Paul and stop judging those who decide to celebrate or would you continue obeying you wicked leaders and continue to accuse the brethren who celebrate.

Again, hope you remember that even the angels celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ?

Oga, which believer in the Roman congregation abide by your interpretation of Romans 14:4-6 to celebrate birthdays?
If your interpretation was genuine,Paul would have written to other believers in other cities to follow the Roman's example.
But,Paul never did that.
Una too like to dey deceive yourselves.
cheesy
This is a very foolish question because the bible was not written to indicate whether birthdays were celebrated or not. The most important thing is that we are guided by the principles. So the question should be, do you believe the teachings of Paul or not?

Stop spreading lies. If you don't understand the Bible, read more and improve your knowledge about it rather than spreading what is false.

Choosing not to marry is not disobedience.

When Jesus disciples told him it is better not to marry since divorce is bad, what did jesus say to them?

Matthew 19 :10 -12:

Choosing not to marry is a choice. A choice some people willfully choose for certain reasons.

Jesus NEVER condemned such choice. He also made the choice of not getting married for the sake of the kingdom. Someone had already pointed out that fact to you but you choose to spread lies and argue blindly.

Stop that!
Do you even understand what you read?
Jesus Christ did not justify people for not getting married.
He only explained that not everyone can marry. This is different from choosing not to marry.
So for example, if a woman doesn't find a husband, it s not a sin. It is different from you who willfully choose to disobey a direct commandment from God especially with the excuses you gave

Genesis 1:27–28

“So God created man in his own image… male and female created he them.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth…”

Genesis 2:18, 24

“It is not good that the man should be alone…”

Genesis 2:24

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”

Proverbs 18:22

“He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.”

Malachi 2:14–15

“…the Lord was witness between you and the wife of your youth…
Did he not make them one…? And what was the one God seeking? Godly offspring.”

Matthew 19:4–6

“Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female…?
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife…
What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

You are so wrong you know?
So who taught you wicked men how to love?
Don't you know for Christians God is love?
The foundation for love within the family and society is God! That's why John 3:16 says FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON...
Love gives! Selflessly.
Immorality is not love, it's lust. It's punishable here and in the hereafter.
What are you saying. Do you think love only exists among Christians? Do you think others don't love their wives and families.
God Himself intended and put those feelings in us. God made those feelings independent of our love for Him. That is why even one who doesn't know God, can still love a woman. Stop mixing up things. At the end, you have not passed any message

My brother, this explanation you gave is the corruption of the love St. Valentine lived and died for.
It's not about romantic love but pure love seen in married couples. The love that's not feeling based first but a decision.
The romantic love is meant to proceed from the agape love, that selfless God kind of love, otherwise it's just lust.
That's why so many people get involved in uselessness and call it Valentine. It's an error.
No man of God ( St. Valentine was a Catholic priest) would do anything to encourage a day to mark or do immorality. No way.
You may want to Google St. Valentine and how all these came about.
Many of you Christians just like to misbehave. That's why you have lost the ability to touch souls.
The bible recognized the love between husbands and wives.
God intended for a man to fall in love with a woman and a woman to fall for a man that it may lead to marriage.
Those feelings were put their by God not the devil.
If you point is that people shouldn't fornicate with the excuse of celebrating Val day then we would understand. But your come here to mix everything.
Please stop this
