Emirate goes through Dubai and Chicago in USA. That's what I plan to use too...I love their services plus they are the most baby friendly airline teesboy: if you are flying emirates then you have nothing to worry about direct airside transit in dubai does not require a transit visa, however if you were flying delta airlines for instance which has its hub in US then would need a transit visa or a valid US visa in any other category. |

I once heard that you do not need transit visa if you hold a study permit but i am not sure how true this is. Anyway, I have already started my USA visa app, because I will need to do a lot of travelling there to visit family. So i guess I am covered. teesboy: if you are flying emirates then you have nothing to worry about direct airside transit in dubai does not require a transit visa, however if you were flying delta airlines for instance which has its hub in US then would need a transit visa or a valid US visa in any other category. |

Maybe not home tie, but what I mean is that it will help authenticate your claims that you are coming back to take over... hayqinsbFX: @team12 thanks for the reply... I actually don't have home tie ticked on my refusal so I think I don't have an issue with that. |

@hayqinsBFX, my sponsorship letter was not notarised and my Sponsor did not swear an affidavit. However, I am sure you know that every case is different. Remember I also had my name as a director in my Hubby's CAC 7 which also served as home tie for me.
In your own case, since your name is not on the Form CAC 7, I will like to suggest that your dad initiates an application to CAC to include your name on the board (this shouldn't take time). Then state in your dad's sponsorship letter that:
"Plans are in top gear to integrate Akinbusola into the firm which includes inclusion of his name in the Particulars of Directors (Form CAC 7) of XYZ limited and developing his skills through practical advanced training, hence the importance and need for him to study in a college in Canada. I have attached documents evidencing application for update to the CAC7 to my letter to support my claim... Shikena!
Get the sponsorship letter notarised and you are good to go. No need for sworn affidavit again.
Trust God, this approach will more than cover up for your home tie. |

It is stated on the passport request letter that "cic cannot issue a visa beyond the expiry date on the passport" So the answer to your question is NO. If your program extends beyond 2017, you will need to renew your visa while in school kol1234: Hello!
So how many years can I get if my expiry date shows 2017. can I get beyond that? |

For those that think the rate if delay has increased, sorry to burst your bubble. Read through this part again and see the success stories littered all around. God has been faithful and he will continue to be. We acknowledge we don't know it all and that's why we have come together to complement one another. The race is not to the swift...nor favour to men of skills but time and chance happeneth to them all. We will all get our hearts desire....please no negative energy and bad blood.
