So why not work towards having strong ties in Nigeria, so your ties in Canada will not be an issue?

I sincerely believe you have over flogged the issue . A number of people have gotten their TRV even after stating that they have ties in Canada. I stated that I have someone in Canada who is a Citizen, and I still got my TRV.

Your application must not be perfect. The way you are going about this, you may exalt the availability of a perfect app over God's grace.

I am sorry if i sound strict, but at times strictness is necessary to drive away fear.

Please delay no further, state that you have a relative in Canada, include them in your family info form and let God have his way! Just be sincere das all!!!!

Nobody here is rili been able to explain the meaning of strong ties in canada... so can you explain it for us. The few people I have seen with that as a reason for denial hv family members in canada without strong ties here in nigeria.

The airport is at the outskirts of town and is very far from Eiffel tower... I can send you a pic of me there and you can use photoshop to attach yourself to the pix

Congratulations dear!!! Just call the hospital and ask them to send your result to cic. Ensure you give them your UMI number. This should be done within 30 minutes.
You can also ask them for a proof (its like the emedical form but with a section that states the submission date) and send to accra immigration.

Thanks to everyone in the house, esp Team 12, cos i have to follow ur format when submit my form. 1st application 2013-refused. 2nd application 26 march 2015, refusal mail rcved 13th may 2015. refired 19th June, 2015 and medical mail13th July (processing time 24 days). I have done my upfront medical already. i ve been sent a medical form, and i have already done that at the island, so how do i confirm if they have sent the result to cic Accra? pls advise. My dear , so sorry about the stress. I don't go to banking halls o...I cant deal with the wahala. The last time i did was to pay for upfront at consultant practice becos they don't accept debit card.

For my daughter's medicals I simply did an online transfer (seamless) to IOM's standard chartered account and went with the online payment receipt. I paid 15k because it's only physical exam that is done for kids below 5, but based on the email I got from IOM, its 28k for adults.

@Team12, I went to the bank to pay for IOM medicals on Friday and it was a battle. Filled a normal teller and was told by the cashier that there's a customized teller for IOM. Turned out the account number on the customized teller was different from the one IOM sent me. I insisted on using an ordinary teller and filling the details on their website. They even said the money was #26,250 and the cashier refused to collect anything in excess of that. She showed me a circular sent by IOM to the bank issuing the directive. Had to go to their head office.


Did you guys encounter such?

All i said was her thank u for ur patience is automated and cannot be compared to dispatch mail...which one u nor dey sef? I go flog u ooo

They are two different things o....dispatch and thank you for your patience...
Dispatch can never be automated..

It's an automated message and you will definitely get it once your app reaches a month, whether or not you have been sent POE intro letter, so long as your app is still open

Even after being called for medicals, I still got 'there has been no update to your application, thank you for your patience'.

This guy! When you work in a professional setting for years, where your kind of work does not involve paper, you can read 1,000 pages of pdf without being bored, cos u are used to it!

When cic introduced online route, they knew what would come with it. These people do thorough review of your app, but their individual interpretation and conviction is what determines the outcome

If he applied online, let him check his cic account if it has been saved there. If not, let him send a reminder mail to Accra. Sometimes they delay in responding, probably because of peak period.

But one thing I will advise is that he should never let them go unless they bless him with the Medical form

Request for proof from the hospital to be sure that it has been sent. The proof is exactly like the eMedical form you were given to upload during your app, but this one contains a comment that states the exact date it was submitted. Then send the proof via email to accra, dasall!

Madam @Team12 I called Consultants Practice back and I was told my med result was sent to CIC on May 3rd. Went through your posts and I saw that you sent an email to accraimmigration. I just did and I got an automated response.
Do I need to ask Consultant to re-send the result?

So happy for you. Congratulations!!! Since you have called the hospital, that's the first step (hope you gave them your UMI number?), but ensure you call again today to be sure they have sent it. Mine was sent in less than 30 mins after I called them.

Online remains the best option for Upfront Medicals. That way, you know what your fate is at every stage.

Until you recieve your passport you can't know for sure since u didn't recieve an approval mail.
