@hayqinsbFX, you are smart guy and a lot of people have benefited from you on this forum and so I know your next app will scale thru- He who helps people shall never need to ask for help. He shall have it in abundance...

1. Purpose of Visit: Your pan B will sort this out! It's easy to understand that someone with a diploma is going for advance diploma, but with a BSc, it's difficult to sell. Please use the admission from Centennial college in your next app. Even though it is PGD, I am sure the VOs know that it's an upgrade to BSc.

2. Length of proposed stay: Again, the VO would have thought, "if he Akinbusola really wants to come back and take over his dad's affairs or work for the company, why spend 3 whole years? why not a 1 or two year program that will upgrade his degree/knowledge? why an advance diploma that is less than a BSc?"...So again, your centennial admission should take care of that.

3. Employment status: You submitted a study leave letter from your dad's company, but I can see you did not submit an employment letter and payslips to show that you have been working for your dad. I say this because it is not possible for a company to give a non-employee a study leave letter.
Please submit an employment letter and payslips in your next app to support your SOA.

4. Personal Asset: The employment letter and payslip can also help with this. If you don't have any other personal asset (like pension) to add, kindly provide supporting document to show that your Dad's asset will be willed to you...Also submit your own tax clearance card if you have one.

When did you graduate from Uni? What ever explanation you have to give in your SOP should only cover the period after school. You owe no one an explanation as to what you were doing when you were in school..it is obvious!

Also you need to explain why you have not gone for your NYSC and give reasons why you have decided to go to school before coming back for NYSC.

In all my dear, go through your SOP again and read it with the VO's eyes, then note down every question that comes to your mind from the VO's perspective and address/answer them-this is key!

I know you will make it this time, so long as you cover all gaps. In all my friend, the grace of God can never be over emphasised!!!

I remember there was a time we had a debate about where study permits are being processed.

I sent an email to the lagos visa office on friday, but got a response to direct my email to accra that ALL study permits from Nigeria are processed in Accra.

Note: the text message I got after biometrics stated that my app had been forwarded to Lagos visa office.

We need to realise that this is a faceless forum and if anyone decides not to respond to peoples post the person cannot be flogged...but again, that attitude will not help anyone.

Have you guys noticed that Since I opened the floor for Medicals from list of TRV hopefuls on part 8, no one has been denied?? Last week was a testimony week and we even had a miraculous Saturday Med call ...*Just saying* #annointingthatbreakstheyoke!

Sorry sir if you think I ignored u...I have just being contemplating. I remember some pages back when @fablady said she was refused admission into a sch becos d school accused her of plagiarism, even though she wrote her SOP herself. I also remember that we have been warned on this forum not to share SOPs becos u never can tell how far it will go. This been said, the best I can do is help you review when you are done. I believe it is better. That way, you are not confined to any one's thought process..

Before you vex, just have it in mind that it's also for your own good. Sorry if I disappointed u!

But apparently it doesn't apply, as people have gotten their TRV between 6-8 weeks and some even under 4 weeks or a week (if you-re super lucky or a witch).
You still have time for september start date, an upfront medicals would be good though.

Not at all. I got mine in less than 4 weeks and if I am to count from the day I did biometrics, I will say I got it in 3 weeks.

Someone in the previous part of this thread got medical call in 1 week!

I doubt they would respond (with a reply) to your email, but they will act on the content of the mail soon. (sent them one last year on Saturday, they reflected the change on monday).

I think you should contact them if you can, so that your TRV wouldn't be delayed any further.

Go to Children's practice with:

1. Two copies of your international passport
2. Your original Passport
3. 28k

You need to do it before you apply. They will give you an "eMedical" document to upload as proof of Medicals (please note that your report will not be given to you).

When your application has been processed by the VO and they require your medical information, they will contact the hospital directly using the information in the eMedicals you uploaded. This makes the process faster... The difference is that for those that wait for medical call, their process is longer because after medicals it usually takes like 5 working days (***I stand to be corrected***) for your report to be sent to cic.

While for upfront medicals, your report is ready waiting for a call!

I hope this explanation gives a clear idea of what Upfront medicals is all about for future reference

Na wa for these people o....

1. My medicals was sent to them yesterday...I got a mail this morning that my application has been updated, I opened and it still says "we need your medical report"

2. I also got a mail that my daughter's application has been updated, I opened it and it says " Review of Medical Report in Progress"

The issue is:

My daughter did not do any medicals and she is not expected to. I guess they have mistakenly updated my daughter's application with my medical report instead of updating my own medicals...

Please what do I do? Should I contact them or wait for them to realise their mistake?
