Sultan Beach is one of the best Beach in the ancient Town of Badagry. Irrespective of the discomfort of plying the Lagos-Badagry Express road, we really had a wonderful time out at the Beach. Abuja Vs Lagos which is the best place to live I have received this question a lot and today I want to write comprehensively on it. If you are thinking about the best place to live between Lagos and Abuja, here are the top things you need to know about the two cities. Lagos which was formerly Nigeria Capital and it is currently the commercial nerve center in Nigeria and the second fastest developing City in Africa behind Johannesburg. Abuja on its own is the Political Capital of Nigeria. It is the Center of unity in Nigeria and it harbours the Headquarter of all the Government Institutions and agencies in Nigeria including the Nigeria seat of Power Aso Rock. IF YOU ARE A RICH MAN WHO LOVES SEDENTARY LIFE THEN ABUJA IS FOR YOU: If your priority is to wake up around 8 O'clock and drive straight to your office without going through long traffic. If you have enough money in the bank and have investment all over the place and all you want is to live comfortably then Abuja is the right place for you. Unlike Lagos Abuja traffic is not serious, the city is cool and calm and you can easily drive around the city without stress. IF YOU ARE A HUSTLER WHO WANT TO START FROM SCRATCH THEN LAGOS IS FOR YOU: If you are a hustler and you want to start from scratch and hustle then you must consider living in Lagos. IF YOU ARE A FRESH GRADUATE AND YOU WANT TO WORK IN A PRIVATE FIRM THEN LAGOS IS FOR YOU: Lagos is the commercial nerve center of Nigeria and West Africa in general. Lagos is littered with different kinds of Private firms. As such you now have different choices to make and wide ranges of job opportunities in private firms in Lagos unlike Abuja which has lesser private firms than Lagos. IF YOU ARE A FRESH GRADUATE AND YOU WANT TO WORK IN GOVERNMENT INSTITUTION AND PARASTATALS THEN ABUJA IS FOR YOU: If you are a fresh Graduate looking for an Opportunity to work in Federal government establishments and agencies then you must consider relocating to Abuja. IF CONNECTION AND CONTACTS IS WHAT YOU WANT TO BUILD THEN CONSIDER GOING TO ABUJA: With heavy presence of Politician from the 36 states of Nigeria, Abuja is the best place to build a solid contact of who is who in Nigeria. IF YOU WANT TO LAUNCH A STARTUP COMPANY THEN LAGOS IS THE RIGHT PLACE FOR YOU: Lagos Startup EcoSystem is the most active, successful and Vibrant. Networking, Mentorship and meet up is very easy to come by in Lagos as a Startup Entrepreneur than in Abuja. Also there are a series of Entrepreneurship Events that is created for Startup Entrepreneurs to meet and Network. IF YOU ARE AN ENTERTAINER THEN LAGOS IS THE FOR YOU: Lagos is the Entertainment Capital of Nigeria. From January to December the city of Lagos is bubbling with different Entertainment activities and if you are an Entertainer Lagos is a very good place for you to pursue your career, although you have to face serious competition. IF YOU ARE A BUSINESS MAN THEN LAGOS IS FOR YOU: If you are into buying and selling or provision of essential services, Lagos is the best place for you because of the presence of a very huge Market. THE STRENGTHS OF LAGOS Lagos has the best nightlife more than any other city in Africa. With a Population of over 20 million people, Lagos has a very huge market base. That is why many business men prefer Lagos to Abuja Lagos life is a busy one and there is no dull moment at all. Lagos is littered with all kinds of Job Opportunities WEAKNESSES OF LAGOS Air pollution is imminent in Lagos Overcrowding: with the statistics released that every one hour 83 people migrate to Lagos, Lagos is a very congested City. Cost of Accommodation is high in Lagos: Cost of securing a decent accommodation in Lagos is on the high side that is why you see some people settling for the flyovers and uncompleted Buildings Lagos Traffic is a nightmare: Have you heard about Lagos traffic that makes people wake up as early as 3 am and still go Late to work. Lagos life is very stressful. You can leave your office by 4pm and still be getting home by 11 pm, you will sleep for like 3 hours and be up again for work. Lagos Transport Fare is on the high side. Food commodities is high in Lagos compared to Abuja STRENGTHS OF ABUJA It is a very Stress free City with less traffic jams Abuja have clean and fresh air There is high chances of connecting to people that matters in Nigeria. Who is who in Nigeria Political and Business Space lives in Abuja and there is every chance that you can run into these men and women that matters on a daily basis. Cost of renting an apartment in Abuja is relatively cheap when compared to that of Lagos. If you don't have enough money to live in the main city you can live in the outskirts where you can get a house at an extremely cheap price. WEAKNESSES OF ABUJA Abuja cannot complete with Lagos in terms of market base. Lagos is by far ahead of Abuja and that is why Lagos is the choice of Business men and women. Nightlife in Abuja is very Poor City Life in Abuja is very cool and dull, if you have lived in Lagos all through your life adapting in Abuja will take you a very long time. Job Opportunity in Abuja is Limited and it is strictly by man who knows man except God is by your side. Summary both Cities are good and unique in their own way. It all depends on individual choices and reservations. Just like a popular adage said "one man's meat is another man's poison" SOURCE: https://www.blog.propsvilla.com/2019/09/20/abuja-vs-lagos-w…st-place-to-live/
