An Islamic Scholar, Sheik Murtala Sokoto, has described those still hailing the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, as liars and hypocrites. According to the Sheik, the president has failed Nigerians and those who are still chanting ‘Sai Baba’ despite all that has happened are ‘liars and hypocrites.’ Sokoto stated that no one should accept the lame excuse that the suffering of the people was the will of Allah. The cleric stated this while delivering a sermon to some Muslim youths as seen in a video made available online by Sahara Reporters. Sokoto alleged that President Buhari could no longer visit his home state of Katsina because of the anger and frustration of the people. Sokoto acknowledged the fact that Buhari had appointed many northerners into key positions in the country, but that even those appointed into the positions had also betrayed the trust of people. He said, “All those saying ‘Sai Baba’ Sai Baba, are liars, useless hypocrites. The man they called ‘Sai Baba’ now cannot even go to Katsina. He (Buhari) knows the anger that will greet him if he goes to Katsina. “We are praying that Allah guides General Buhari to make amends, to do better as a leader, but if he continues in his ways, we pray Allah to replace him with a better leader. The peak of stupidity is when these people say northerners have been given juicy positions, but those given these juicy positions have betrayed everyone.” The Islamic Scholar pointed out that the poor were on the receiving end as many of them could no longer go to their farms due to the high level of insecurity in the country. He noted that those who summoned the courage to visit their farms get kidnapped and huge ransoms are demanded from them. Sokoto added, “Rice, can we feed ourselves? How? They said people should go to the farm but when you go to the farm you will be kidnapped. You (Buhari) said we should cultivate our farms in the North, go and see all over the North. An example is Katsina, go to Sokoto, Zamfara. “In these places, those who go to the farm are always abducted by criminals and a ransom of N2m to N3m will be made…! How can a village farmer afford N3m? Are we really serious? Because of cruelty and wickedness, they are saying we should be patient, but for how long shall we be more patient? Patience is something the prophet has given us conditions for. We had enough of this oppressive government.” According to Sokoto, with food shortages caused by the inability of farmers to harvest their crops, they hoped to import food but Buhari ordered the closure of all land borders which worsened their plight. “We will continue to talk about Zakkat, but first I have to talk to you about the difficult situation our country is in now. The country is in disarray. Is this country not already in trouble? Is that not true? The old man (Buhari) had pushed us all to the wall. Hasn’t he pushed us to the wall? Hasn’t he? Whatever noise that will be made, whatever evil sermon they are giving you is useless. Don’t listen to those stupid excuses that it is Allah that is putting us through this,” he said. “If you believe this illogic; go and take a sword and slaughter a human being and then claim it is Allah that caused it. He who was merciful to people, Allah, will be merciful to him. What point am I trying to make? The point is, the poverty and hardship we are facing now are caused by the Federal Government. They claimed there was hardship during the prophet’s time but our suffering today is because borders have been closed. We get food through these borders but they have been closed out of the cruelty of Buhari.” Sokoto who recalled how poor Nigerians contributed money for Buhari’s campaign with the hope that he would favour them urged the president to immediately change his ways or he will pray to God to remove him. He said, “Poor Nigerians have you in their tongues every day. They contributed N5,000, N2,000 they financed the campaign of General Buhari. But they are being paid with suffering. Sunnah clerics told us Buhari is a good person, but what we have now is a different Buhari. We pray Buhari changes for better, if not we will pray to Allah to remove him.” |

CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC AS A SIMILITUDE OF WAR. For those of you who have been dancing to the rhythms of the drums of war being continuously beaten by the PDP, Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB rats, CAN, NCEF, Femi Fani-Kayode, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Yinka Odumakin, Deji Adeyanju, Reno Omokri, Afenifere, Middle-Belt Forum, South-South Peoples Forum, PANDEF, etc, I hope the corona virus pandemic and the accompanying lockdown has given you a very faint idea of what a war situation would be like. Just under seven weeks of a lockdown, and you are already screaming of hunger and begging for palliatives from Buhari. Let me assure you that whatever hardships or inconvenience you think you are suffering now is not up to one percent of what you will suffer if war ever breaks out as a result of the "Biafra or death", "Islamization", "Fulani jihad", "Fulanization", and "Buhari wants to kill every Christian in Nigeria" propaganda churned out by Nnamdi Kanu, FFK, Yinka Odumakin, Deji Adeyanju, Reno Omokri, Afenifere, Ohanaeze, Middle-Belt Forum, South-South Peoples Forum, PANDEF etc, and your Spiritual Papas and Daddy G.Os. They have been beating the drums of propaganda and war with a very big stick, and you have been dancing furious steps to the rhythms. They tell you that Buhari wants to Islamize Nigeria, and you cheer. They say Buhari is the one arming and sending Fulani herdsmen to kill you, and you scream delightedly. They say Buhari wants to kill every Christian in Nigeria, and you believe them. They say Buhari wants to kill every Southerner along with those in the Middle-Belt, and give the vacant land to his Fulani kinsmen, and you agree. They incite the Igbos against other Nigerians, and you rejoice. They incite Christians against Muslims, and you dance for joy. They abuse Northerners and Muslims and Fulanis and the Yorubas, and you celebrate. You call Fulanis and Northerners cows. You call Nigeria a zoo and other Nigerians animals in the zoo. They tell you to get ready to fight a war and defend yourselves and your land against the Sokoto Caliphate and the sons of Usman Dan Fodio, and you scream in excitement. They call the Fulanis bloodthirsty demons from Futa Jallon, and you are giddy with delight. This is the rubbish that the PDP, CAN, NCEF, your Pastors and Daddy G.Os, Nnamdi Kanu, FFK, Reno Omokri, Yinka Odumakin, Afenifere, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Middle-Belt forum, South-South Leaders Forum, PANDEF, etc, have been feeding you with for ages, and you are swallowing it hook, line, and sinker, instead of using your brains like rational beings. They have politicised religion and weaponised it as a tool of political blackmail. They have been playing the religious card in a very dangerous and reckless manner since 2014, viciously fanning the smouldering embers of ethno-tribal and religious divisions and hatred. I want to announce to you that if and when the conflagration ignites, whatever you think you're suffering now is not up to one percent of what you will suffer in a war situation. You are screaming for palliatives now, but nobody will give you palliatives in a war situation. I heard that in some parts of the Country, the prices of foodstuffs have risen astronomically. For example, a paint bucket of garri is now selling at N1800 in some parts of the country. The cost of satchets and bags of "Pure Water" have doubled. In a war situation, you will buy a paint bucket of garri for N10,000 or more, i.e if you could even see it to buy. Let me not talk about the other staples like yam, beans, rice, cassava, etc. A wrap of "Santana" may cost as much as N1000. You will buy a loaf of bread for N7000, assuming it is even available. You have been shouting "hunger" and " hardship" since Buhari came to power, but in a war situation, you will know what "hunger" and "hardship" is. Then you will realize that what you are currently experiencing is Paradise in comparison. You are complaining that you are tired of staying at home because of the lockdown. In a war situation, you will most likely not even have a home to stay in; you will be too busy running for your life or hiding in the bush or the forest, or living in a refugee camp. You are complaining that health facilities are poor; in a war situation, there will be no hospitals to go to, because many of them will be bombed or razed to the ground, and the few available ones will be overflowing with war casualties. Believe you me, those your Daddy G.Os and Spiritual Papas will hop on their private jets and fly out of the Country if and when those embers of ethno-tribal and religious hate they have been fanning ignite, and leave you to face the music. Those Ohanaeze and Afenifere and Middle-Belt Forum and South-South Leaders Forum and PANDEF politicians will race to the nearest Foreign Embassy building and hide themselves there, and leave you to roast in the fire. Unknown to you, many of them hold double and even triple citizenships. Remember the one who screamed "Biafra or death", but when the Python came for him, he ran away in such a haste that he didn't even remember to wear his slippers. Do you think Femi Fani-Kayode who has cowardice programmed into his DNA will go to the warfront to fight? You're a joker. He will tuck his tail between his legs and scurry into hiding at the first sign of the war he has been calling for, like his friend and brother Nnamdi Kanu. Do you think Yinka Odumakin with his one hand will pick up a gun or cutlass and fight? Or you think those your Pastors and Daddy G.Os will fight? I laugh at your naivety. They will hide themselves in foreign embassies or fly out of the country and leave you to slaughter yourselves, and when you have finished slaughtering yourselves, they will come out of hiding and take over the reins of power. You will do the fighting and killing and dying, while they will divide and eat the spoils afterwards. Wisdom is for the wise, and foolishness is for the foolish. I only hope that this pandemic and the inconveniences associated with the lockdown have given you a vague idea of what the war you are agitating for will look like, if it does come. Be careful what you wish for, because wishes have a way of coming true in ways you least expect. |

I asked a tutor of mine, an emphatic and a
symbolic elder this question. Why are we like this
59yrs after?
His answer..
You need to be here 59yrs ago! This place was a
Bush!
1. In 59 Years, we have at least a fairly looking City
of Abuja. Note, Abuja was a thick forest 59yrs ago.
2. 59 yrs ago, we have only one University. The
UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN.. Today, we've 154
Universities just in 59yrs
3. 59yrs ago, we've less than 200 qualified Doctors
in the whole country. 59YRS after, Unilag alone,
produces 250 Doctors per annum.
4. 59yrs ago, in fact 30 yrs ago, Lekki Peninsula
was a Mangrove. Today, it ranks among the fastest
developing Estates in the world.
5. There was no Nigerian Pliot 59 yrs ago. Today,
we have female Nigerian Pilots flying planes with
International Airlines.
6. The first African Nation to participate and win a
Junior World Cup. We've won it 5 times. We have
even won Olympics Gold Medals in Football and
High Jump. ...
7. The total National Income of the Nation was less
than 1B USD 59yrs ago. All the so called Cotton,
Groundnut Pyramids, Cocoa etc generated less
than 1B USD as at 1960. Today, Nigerias' FDI is
20B USD per annum. That's Progress we seemed
not to measure.
8. ANPA - Association of Nigerian Physicians in
Northern America, New York branch has 5,000
Nigerian Doctors and Medical Professionals. 2nd
highest ethnic group of Physicians in the United
States and UK after India....that's progress in
Intellectual Development.
9. Within 59yrs of Corporate existence, we've
produced a Nobel Prize Winner, A Pulitzer Award
Winner, and other professional leaders of global
repute
10. In 59yrs, we now do Renal Surgery, IVR, Organ
Transplant, and some good scientific
breakthroughs.
11. We have dropped fetishness and poor hygiene
to an extent that Polio and Cholera had been
eradicated. This had dropped the number of
children per woman from an average of 8 in 1960
to 3 - 4 in 2019.
13. We contribute about 5% of global fossil fuel.
This had earned Billions of Dollars, though not
properly managed but had kept our finances as a
Nation.
14. We had fought the Civil War and recovered, we
had survived about 5 Military regimes and
survived, we had had 20yrs of uninterrupted
Democracy.
15. Most of us reading this post are living in a
"Cement Building" wanna know how houses are
built 59yrs ago,? Pay a visit to your granny's
building in the "village"
16. There was a story that the Entire Northern
Nigeria had less than 10 graduates as at 1959. The
dearth of human capital was touted as the reason
Sir Ahmadu Bello deferred Independence to 1960
for fear of dominance of the fairly educated South.
Check the number of graduates ABU alone
produces per year as at 2019.
17. 1960, the Oba or Igwe or Emir of your village
was a god! They even have power of lives! 2019,
you can take him to Court if he infringes on your
rights....!
18. Almost 2 Million Nigerians write JAMB per
year. That's 2Million people that can at least read
and write. Check the population of Nigerians that
can read as at 1960.
19. How many Military Generals do we have 59yrs
ago? How Many Naval Admirals? How many
Airforce Commanders? How many Professors? How
many Vice Chancellors, How many Military Bases,
Banks? Bank Directors and Managers? SME
Directors, Music Producers, World Class Singers
and Composers, Authors, Doctors and Nurses,
Engineers, Architects, Business Men and
Women?.....etc......all we have then were itinerant
subsistence farmers and the elites are village
teachers isn't it?
The entire SW Nigeria had only one TV and One
Radio Station as at 1960. Today, we've over 200
functional private Radio & TV Stations just within
59yrs
20. I think overall, we've tried as a Nation.
We've tried MAMSER, SAP, AGOA, NEPAD, VISION
2010, MDG, VISION 2020, MILITARY, PARLIAMENT,
DEMOCRACY, EVEN, WE TRIED ABACHA.....!
In all, I think we've tried.
Let's also look at the thieves we have. The looters
who prefer to plunder the treasury, those who
prefer to buy cars instead of paying their aides,
those who are nepotic, the unfits in power, the
godfathers, the vision less leaders, the selfish
politicians, I think we could do better if we had had
patriotic people running our affairs..
Yes we lacked purposeful leadership, since we've
been able to factor this out, we could work on this
area and have a better Nigeria to bequeath to our
children. ...
After being sensibly thoughtful like most people
doesn’t, I can now say “Happy Independence in
arrears Nigeria !” |
that's not the solution, who know may be the Rapers too are training |
Senegalese Player, Krepin Diatta : " I am very sad to see some African brothers making fun of me. I work for our beautiful and dear African continent and what I receive in return are only insults, mockery of my brothers. This is too bad of you and racism comes from there. I need your encouragement and not your insults. Thank you to everyone who supports me. Only God makes my strength and I am proud of my physical person. Your mockery won't change anything in my life. Hello nairalanders. Here is the girl, were are living in the same area, her elder sister and my brother are friends. it just happened one day, I went one my teacher so I met this girl and her elder sister when I was done with my teacher thats when her sister blow out the matter to my teacher, she said "yes sir my sister always disturbed me that she love him (that was me) and she would like me to marry her ". and again her sister said she used to forgot to tell my brother. Upon hearing that I was tremendously shocked. my teacher just said he is a good guy. From the moment, from the day I can't keep calm, I always think about it, I don't know what to do because I'm an introvert. One day in the morning I was going out she saw me and call out my name she greeted me she's very happy seeing me and I can see it, I greeted her back too and I didn't say else, honestly I don't know what to say. several occasions, we would meet and just greet each other and go. My attitude toward her is good sometimes I just keep mute won't say anything. sometimes I would pass by side without saying anything. she really love to the extent that all her family knew about it . There was a time she traveled and I didn't call her, didn't ask for her and when she got back she was disappointed, she wasn't happy. it hurt her, still I didn't talk to her. That was when I knew that I've hurt her, may be she would have cried for it. Now I know that I have broke someone heart, I've hurt someone that love me. One day I called on the phone she was angry with she wanted to cry but hang up the call, I wanted to apologize to her but she never give me any chance. I would called she won't pick, I sent several messages no reply. Now she found another guy, and she is very happy Thank God. I'm happy for her too but I know I've lose something in my life. Till now am still looking for a chance to apologize, to ask for forgiveness because I know what I did. Now there's another girl, they're sharing the same name, she really like me but I'm afraid I don't want to lose I don't want break heart. PLEASE YOUR TAKE ON THIS.. |
