Oxster: Yes,Romancelander....i know I shouldn't create this thread here but I did anyway due to my activeness on Romance section
Now my question is....is going to higher institutions a Scam,Cause the more we see now@days.....80% of graduate don't work nor ball in their field of studies,,,Why the need of Going to School??
Alot out there are making it without going to school,And those that went keep on striving to survive....
Don't you think that in the situation of things,SCHOOL IS LIKELY A SCAM
Don't mind my Errors Probably if you didn't go to school or not educated, you wouldn't have been able to type this, communicate this well and probably have this indepth knowledge you are sharing now |

Ruggedfitness: If someone believes that the young boy is telling the bitter TRUTH then Nigeria is doomed, what could have happened if people like Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates went into scamming. There could have been no iPhone, no facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp, no Microsoft or windows.
Things were also hard for Steve Jobs and in that hardship he excelled, so there is no excuse
Yeah, if they had gone into scamming, we wouldn't be using the high tech gadgets and whatever we have now but also remember the economy/amenities /supports were readily available to enhance innovative ideas... Please do we have that here ? #justsaying In Other News Here Is What Happens To Your Brain When You Sleep Late At Night http://www.realfitbody.com/2017/11/here-is-what-happens-to-your-brain-when.html |

But the funniest thing is whenever there is an occasion, the pop is always repping...he always kill a cow.... And i will be like guy how far but where pops dey always see money buy cow ? Till date,it still baffles me cause its not always driving. |

Op i can relate to this,i will say the major factor of this abuse is the fact that you are still under her roof....once you move out completely, some level of respect starts to crawl in...
She feels afterall you are still under her, eating her food so she calls the shot and still sees you as that little boy she gave birth to years back. She doesn't wanna acknowledge/respect the fact that you are now a grown man/an adult.
You just need to get your space first...she will eventually come through. |

dupsyluzy: Yes,i understand you. People like that are hypocrites and pretenders which is something am not good at cos i wasnt brought up that way. Its really tough trying to lick asses/famz someone especially when its not part of you. I find it sick and sometimes ask myself why can't I do it to atleast to save me or keep me in good terms with the 'superiors'/ 'privileged'? But unfortunately i flop big time at it and always turn out to be the evil/bad person. Being straightforward sometimes is a disadvantage.... always at your own peril. |

ttmacoy: Isn't that the same thing I said by asking why come to nairaland to ask and not the company who has given you an offer?
The guy should be careful not to pay any money because it all smells like a scam. If a reputable company makes you an offer knowing fully well he is based in Nigeria and needs work visa sponsorship, they will start discussion on visa application asap. He will have a contact in HR and the team he will be working with to address such questions not come to nairaland. Of course he will ask.... Double checking and getting substantial information about something before you strike is not a bad idea either |

Brillantman: I know that most of guys will critisize me after reading this but your constructive criticism is welcome. I'm a confirm G-guy, and I haven't for once apply any form of voodoo to what I've been doing. I have to open up so as to educate most of the foolish guys that thunk every successful person is borne out of July. In modern world, I've come to realize that truth lies in the Chinese proverb that says " crime pays but don't just get caught" everyone of us is a scam and I don't need anyone to preach to me above what I stand to gain if I tread the honest way because suffering isn't part of me. I've been able to decode that everyone around me in Nigeria is a scam, from vulcanized, to food vendor, to mechanic, government, fish seller etc. What we do is simple, request for client account info and have it load by your hacker friend base here or Cyprus or Egypt or Malay, the era of requesting $500 from Oyibo is gone because guys have wise up to know what they want. Also, I'm not disputing the fact that go extra miles to do just to apply it to the clients but I think the foolish of guys do that because they aren't brilliant upstairs to know what they want. What you believe is different from what I believe to. Your criticism is welcome. Bros how far, lets do business |

olab059: Men! I can totally relate to this. I was so broke one time I didn't even have money for pure water. The people I was staying with at the time had a guest they bought stout for, and there was one bottle left. Around midnight, I entered the parlor and drank the stout just to have some liquid in my body. I slept off but woke up like two hours later...my body was shaking and I was sweating all over. I swear I thought I was going to die of starvation cos I hadn't eaten anything in about 48 hours. I entered one room in the house that was used as a store and started ransacking the place like a rat, till I found one old PRESENT (what kids get at birthdays) and there were lots of different types of sweets in there. I started licking the sweets...i licked like 6-8 sweets, and my body stopped shaking. The next day, I walked all the way from Yaba to my parents house in Egbeda. It took me like 5 hours. I collapsed when I got there. Men! I swear, I have suffered in this world. Eeyah |

ttmacoy: If you got an offer from a company in canada why not ask them if they will be applying for a visa for you rather than nairaland?
Re how genuine, is It a genuine company, are you qualified for the role, do you have a contract of a job offer signed? does it sound too good to be true? And what is the harm in asking narialand? Learning is a continuous process Besides you didn't give any cogent advise. |
