Politics / Herein Lies The Real Change! by teemanbastos(m): 11:42pm On Nov 20, 2018
The Deep rooted Change!

Change is constant, theoretically we all know that every object continues in a straight line until subject to an external force, but naturally we are all averse to change. For one who is used to brushing once a day, it would be tough for him to follow the dentist's advice of brushing twice daily, he has gotten used to it and a change is gonna be hard even though the info is literally in his senses(sic), and because change is hard to effect on the human being, emotions of fear have been introduced to produce results, but do the emotion of fear really produce results of change ?
As Humans, change is inevitable but while we wish and desire change, we are not eager to experience such and find it tasking go through the rigors of change because we are averse to paying the price of pain momentarily, We wish to have a fit body but we find it hard to wake up by 5am to take jogging sessions and to consistently do so, we wish to have more success , but forfeiting the joys of minimizing a lengthy night sleep is hard to come by, we wish to make good wealth but are weary of the pain of hard-work and diligence, wish to have sound health but find it hard controlling eating habits, we wish to have a better Nigeria but find it difficult doing the right things personally, prominently, we eventually pay the prices in a much harder way, why? Pain and pleasure are twins, endure the pain now and enjoy the pleasure afterward or indulge in the pleasure now and take the pain later, nothing goes for nothing.

We make our habits and our habits in return make us.
The older we grow, we mature in all mindsets and all personal beliefs we have inculcated in during the childhood phases, even if we have gathered information in the brain but it wouldn't still be enough to change the already ingrained habits and mindsets that have been imbibed in us.

But the real true change can only be achieved in regeneration or salvation, the mind is divided into the conscious and subconscious, the conscious is what we deal in everyday in all our daily activities, our actions of eating, talking, thinking when active are done in our conscious which springs from mindsets situated in the subconscious, that's why when we see a new thing, or experience something, immediately our senses tries to locate something similar to that occurrence we might have experienced earlier in our lives , so our subconscious has in it stored mindsets which could be poverty mindset, wealth mindset, success mindset, failure mindset, hearty mindset, cruel mindset, angry mindset, 'bullying to get respect' mindset, 'showing off is fame' mindset, 'get money to impress' mindset etc.. And every interaction we experience comes with an emotion which is energy(life itself), the reason we never forget how every person we've met, every situation we've gone through has made us feel, for example my earlier emotions on dogs were emotions of fear so as i grew, anytime I saw a dog i ran away and detested dogs because of the emotion i felt when I first met one at a pretty young age, also for emotions concerning criticism, as a boy while I tried innovating something new(maybe touching an electrical appliance and my parents shouted on me to leave those things because they felt it would electrically shock me, i then instantly and unconsciously record an emotion of fear for touching electrical appliances in my subconscious, as I grew older and went to school and wanted to take physics practicals in electricity, on sighting the apparatus, that emotion came alive automatically and this time consciously and i am scared because my brain remembered that earlier childhood episode and the fear of electrical shock held me back from that practical), the way my first mathematics teacher made me feel like a dummy on missing a small sum made me dislike mathematics, it took extra efforts to remove this emotion of hate from my subconscious, the way I felt when I met my first secondary school friend made me instantly love secondary school, the way I felt when I ate jollof rice made me like jollof rice etc, all these scenarios are just exemplifying my point.
so we never forget how people make us feel because we are beings of emotions i.e we have souls , similarly for a child who has heard phrases that he can't succeed in life from childhood, that only some set of people are meant to be wealthy, that only rich people can enjoy life, the aftermath later at an advanced stage results in emotions of anger as well as distrust mindset is created alongside other negative limiting mindsets and he grows with that mindset, goes through life with the fundamental belief that he is a victim on earth, either resigns to fate and continues living frustrated and goes into the painful realms of depression with suicide as an end or turns his anger to intimidating others, becoming a societal nuisance and becoming more and more frustrated as the days roll by, alot of emotions and mindsets have been instilled in us from birth and they all shape how we view our world and by extension the world at large, some primarily believe they are destined to rule and again grow up infringing on the rights of others creating disharmony and sowing discords, many believe life owes them and go on trying to reap where they have not sown, all emanate from the first seven years of life where the mindsets of parents, guardians and everyone that interacted with us contributed to how we act today.

The summary of it all is that if we are currently not happy with our current individual levels then there is more to us that we need to see and make us more happy and fulfilled, all the times when emotions that come with thoughts of dissatisfaction comes, we think success, more money, a spouse, children, external bliss will change that unhappy state? Maybe not? Why? Even the wealthiest still seek happiness, the wealth they have acquired through diligence, foresight, risk taking, hard-work have not proved a final destination, attimes we might have such reactions to life experiences that leaves us deflated and frustration and begin to ask questions? why? why is this happening?
Only regeneration, regeneration, regeneration can again restore every man to his default childhood state and then is reprogrammed in the subconscious and the conscious by God Almighty himself and thena new world of bliss, happiness and life starts! We are regenerated into a world of excellent attitudes to life, seeing every challenge as a means of moving up and every conquest as a means of giving thanks, we are regenerated into a world of an excellent personal character, we are regenerated into contentment, peace and love.
The deep change transforms and lo we have the new soul connected to the spirit and an enlightened mind- The New Heaven and The New Earth.

Religion / Blessed To Be A Blessing by teemanbastos(m): 8:32pm On Oct 31, 2018
Blessed to be a Blessing.

Naked we came into this world, naked we shall depart, All we are or hope to be, all we have or hope to have are all the works of grace and mercy, no man influenced his birth, no not one! Then All we have is to be used for others.

All skill, knowledge, experience, financial blessings we have gotten in the race of life ARE NOT FOR OUR PERSONAL CONSUMPTION BUT entirely for others, the first man was given the task of overseeing the earth and the first woman was given the task of helping, both are services to be rendered.

We have all we have to impart our worlds positively and prosperously, the Cab driver is being of use in the transport sector, the factory worker helps convert raw produce to a quality consumable good, the student learns in order to use his knowledge and skill in the society, the bankers are there to help free flow of financial funds, the receptionist helps easy access in organizations, the cleaners help clean the city, no one is lesser than the other as no office is lesser than the other, but all work for a collective good - to tend the earth.

We are all blessed to be blessings.

Let's renounce self and selfishness, renounce pride and prejudice and get married to love and service as well as selflessness and excellent character.

Building our nation is a collective responsibility and it starts from the minutest actions of honoring all humans because in honoring all humans, we honor God the Father of All.

God bless.

Nairaland / General / I Had My Destiny In My Hands - Writeup On The Mind by teemanbastos(m): 9:45am On Oct 15, 2018
I had my destiny in my hands.

Indeed God has given us all dominion on earth and ability to prosper and thrive but yet we have besieged ourselves ignorantly in our thoughts, how amazing is it to think we couldn't do anything well and it happened that way(in reality) and we throw the blame onto someone else or even onto God?
Yet all the keys to usefulness, service, prosperity have been placed in the hands of everyone but we have limited or entirely ignored the use of these keys with our thinking pattern in ignorance due to nature and nurture.

There is nothing on earth and beyond earth to be scared of except the 'thinking of being scared', we affect our circumstances and it's not our circumstances that really affect us but yet again, the ignorance in our thinking pattern makes us think otherwise.

The limitations, losses and lacks that exists are actually the ones we have planted inwardly in our hearts (and minds) and this have gradually been harvested in our environment which is just a mirror of our minds, some of us have repeatedly affirmed that we do not want more than a particular grade, a particular job, a particular pay and it WILL always be so because we will usually reap the thoughts we first planted in our minds and finally had them fertilized by our speech, All words from the mouth if created can never be destroyed but will only produce fruits either unto life or death(doom).

Way out? The Holy book have emphasized the need for every one to live righteous lives, it has emphasized a daily study of the HIM to achieve this, why?

We all know that what we take in affect our thinking pattern, so there are two types of news (maybe in visual , audio, audio-visual forms) today, the good news and the bad news, the media is filled with the latter, news of disasters, destructions that all breed fear and thereby we take all this in, and begin to think them and act them and become sorrowful(wonder why depression, anxiety, fear of future, fear of poverty, fear of death, fear of ill-health have become the order of the day in the society? And these fears now get reaped in crimes, covetousness, corruption, embezzlement obeying the natural law of cause and effect) and then We have the Good News that fill us with faith, hope(s) that the future is going to be alright, love towards God and our neighbors which also gets reaped in honour, prosperity, inner peace, joy. The one will take in the more will determine our thoughts pattern which will be reflected in our environment (which is just a MIRROR OF OURSELVES), the holy book is the volume that contains Good news.

We can't help ourselves, we actually can't help our irrational and inconsistent thinking patterns naturally as we were born into it, but we need a higher power to rescue us out of this well of confusion, emptiness and futility. Practically , isn't it what we read on the internet that we base our thoughts pattern on? like thinking a successful life is only buying a beautiful house, a nice ride because of some pictures we saw online, and then find money by all means to get the house and yet we aren't fulfilled ? like thinking that marriage is all about getting a rich and good looking spouse because of a movie where two wealthy people got married and lived happily ever after and yet get married in haste and start regretting after leading to divorce which now causes more problems than initially? Basing our fundamental values and thoughts on just movies that amazingly were figment of another man's(human being) imagination? on just newspapers(written by human beings like us) ? on Twitter, whatsapp , yes amazingly, that is all we do daily thereby leaving us inadequate, deceptions that only a profession is paid higher than others breeding laziness and indifference and ends up producing disgruntled and unhappy 'ideas-saturated' people yet there is indeed no lazy man or woman, we only have people who have not discovered their innate calling and abilities, largely influenced by deceptions that if they are not in a particular profession, they would remain poor, thereby blinding the eyes of these super potential people to remain dormant and lazy because they don't have the natural abilities of those certain professions. All these are deceptions cultivated from untrue sources.

Let's invoke the higher power of God by HEARTFELT PRAYERS BY FAITH in Jesus Christ not religiously but in panting for a change of mindset and mentality to give us a true and real meaning to life by opening our minds to the beautiful treasures hidden in the volume of good news and start prospering on all sides to the right and to the left by freedom from negative lies we have been born into and nurtured under. Let's Get emancipated in the Bible, By the Bible and Through the Bible.

True emancipation will leave the emancipated internally joyful and joy filled always and always.
Seek the Truth, let it affect your thinking pattern always and start SHINING BRIGHTLY daily.

Religion / Harnessing Our Diversity For National Development - Kumuyi by teemanbastos(m): 11:17pm On Oct 01, 2018
Independence Day Interdenominational Church Service.

Date: Sunday, 30th September, 2018.

Time: 3.00pm.

Venue: National Christian Centre, Abuja, FCT.

Theme: Harnessing Our Diversity For National Development- I Corinthians 12:14-27.

Guest minister: Pastor W.F. Kumuyi( General Superintendent, Deeper Christian Life Ministry).

The Corinthian Church was one of the most gifted churches in the New Testament but was not the greatest of the churches. They failed to harness or utilize their diversified gifts for their collective greatness. No doubt, our nation, like the Corinthian Church, is endowed with highly resourceful citizens by the Almighty God. Selfless and committed to our national development, we could easily become the envy of many nations, but our national development has not matched our great possibilities like Corinth,

(1) *There are contentions and divisions among us* (1:10-11);
(2) *Our worldly wisdom is aimed at destroying the Nation's deliverers*(2:6-cool;
(3) *We are obsessed with strife and personality cult- I am of Paul, I am of Apollos*(3:3-4);
(4) *We are blinded by selfish ingratitude* (4:7);
(5) *We take pride in harmful dissipations* (5:6);
(6) *Crimes against our fellowmen are taking too much toll on our national life*(6:8-10);
(7) *Our families are under siege* (ch7);
(cool *We seem to be losing conscience in the nation* (8:9-12);
(9) *Selfless sacrifice for the good of others is waning* (9:19,25);
(10) *We are toeing the path of previous nations that destroyed themselves*(11:29-11);
(11) *Our lack of discernment is weakening the Church and the Nation* (11:29-30);
(12) *our reactionary individualism ( I have no need of you) may deprive us of personal and national greatness* (12:21).

We need to;
(1) rethink;
(2) repent;
(3) reconcile;
(4) reconnect;
(5) recommit;
(6) redirect;
(7) renew.

Point (1) *The Interdependence Of Diverse Potentials For National Development* - 1 Corinthians 12:14-19.
Diversity in the body, in the church, in the nation, is God-ordained. This God-ordained diversity is purposeful; it is for usefulness, progressive achievement, growth and prosperity. Yet unless each diverse member recognizes and accepts his role in the whole body, diversity will divide rather than unite; destroy rather than build up.
The human body illustrates the interrelationship of diverse potentials in nation-building. The human body is strategically complex yet unified, with unparalleled interdependence and interrelatedness. In the nation's interdependence and harmonious coordination is our strength, wisdom, glory, peace, progress, productivity, greatness and expected position in the comity of nations.
The most important characteristic of the body is unity; emphasis on diversity results in division, envy, unhealthy acts, perpetual discontent, negative attitude, and underdevelopment. Selfishness is never satisfied and envy is never content. Interdependence, interrelationship, interconnection- in that lies the promise and the power for national development.

Point (2) *The Interconnection Of diversified (different) people for National Development*: 1 Corinthians 12:18-22.
Unqualified, rugged individualism is the bane rather than the bone of growth, progress development and glory of any nation. Disconnected, disjointed members of the body cause pain, not gain. Disconnection, aloofness, detachment are the hidden demons of darkness, dysfunction, disease, needless poverty and suffering. The philosophy of independence that promotes self-sufficiency contradicts God's plan for each individual and for the Nation. Man's inclination to do his own thing, his Independence's way, done by himself, without depending on others or connecting with others of different perspectives is short-sighted and disadvantageous, to say the least.
God's wisdom has placed diversified people of different cultures, background, talents, learning and training in the same nation to serve God and to selflessly serve each other. In God's infinite wisdom and incomprehensive Providence He has put seemingly diverse people together to fulfil His divine will. What God has connected together let not shortsightedness reasoning disconnect.
Connection brings light, power, health, enlightenment, productive, progress, happiness, fulfilment. Any nation intent on fulfilling great, predictable destiny, must make the interconnection of their diversified populace a non- negotiable. Our national development demands that those who say "they don't need me" and those who think, "I have no need of you", realize their divinely ordained interconnection.

Point (3) *The Interrelationship Of Dissimilar Personalities For National Development*: 1Corinthians 12:21-27.
The members of the body dissimilar yet very much interrelated. Their functions are not interchangeable but they are interrelated. This is an apt illustration of the nation. Personalities who carry an impression of supposed inferiority and others who may wear the cloak of supposed superiority are interrelated. Each one has an important part to play in the development of our nation. Neither the reaction of private interference nor the response of proud independence is profitable or pleasing to God.
The lungs are not as visible as the legs. The internal organs are not noticeable as the external limbs in photographs. The heart and the head serve every other member of the body without competition, comparison or confusion of roles and functions. Some weak internal members are vulnerable while some strong external members are visibly sturdy. They are all different, diverse, dissimilar, yet each is necessary for our destined progress and development. Some members like the heart, the brain, the kidneys and the lungs need care for self- preservation, others like the hair, the nails, the face and the fingers complement the well- being of the whole body. Though every well-informed person is more concerned with his heart than his hair, yet no part of the body is deliberately ignored, neglected or overlooked. In the Nation, mutual support and encouragement , sincere recognition and involvement of all well-meaning and qualified citizens are necessary to avoid wastage of lives and resources.
There is no disdain for one another, no rivalry or unhealthy competition, no false humility or fatal pride, no inferiority or vain superiority, no retaliatory indifference or reactionary independence, we can, we must and we do put the past behind us to build a great nation for the present and the coming generations.
Interdependent, interconnected, interrelated, we are on our way to national greatness: we are unstoppable.

Please share this message to all Nigerians as it gets to you. Happy 58th Independence Day Celebration.

Nigeria is 58 years old today, Today should not be a day of recounting, emphasizing and trumpeting the country's woes but a day to critically analyse what indeed every one of us has done to alleviate the situation of his/her immediate community and by extension the bigger community, from there we can actually see if we are a solution or a burden to this country.
We should devote ourselves to Service to the country with whatever talents, skills and gifts we have because our innate fulfillment and happiness lies in being of use in our individual capacities to this Great country.
A country can never be greater than the content of citizens living within it, let's all strive to be proactive, productive, absolutely useful and be invaluable assets to our fellow citizens and to the country.
This is where we have been birthed and placed, we will be of absolute use here in this land and will thrive here.

I end this with what the Sage Abraham Lincoln said 'ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country'
I believe this 58th year would be a landmark year and a great year for all and sundry who believe so.

Happy 58th Birthday Nigeria!
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

-Not Pride and Haughty
-Not insisting on one's rights
-Not touchy, Not resentful
-Not recording every wrong of a fellow man

sophsia62:
Regret is simply something you wish you knew earlier in life. Tallulah Bankhead said: “If I had my life to live over again, I’d make the same mistakes, only sooner.”The main difference between successful people and others is that successful people get to know very early in life what others know later.

1.Greatest Hindrance To Success Is Not Failure, But Previous Success

Our previous success can hinder us from moving to the next level when we become so full of them. Don’t build your future on your previous successes; rather, let them give you more impetus to be more successful.

2.Education Without Discovery Of Your Gift Won’t Take You Far In Life

Your education is not your secret to wealth and fulfilment; the discovery of your gift is. The core purpose of the education should be discovering one’s gift as early as possible.

Any education that does not teach us to discover, nurture and develop our gifting and uniqueness is a waste. There is no man that is as poor and miserable as the one that carries all his gifts, talents and potentials to the grave. Real wealth is discovering your gifts and talents and making the world a better place through it.

3.Rejection Is Often Redirection

Sometimes, the greatest thing that will ever happen to some of us is rejection. The reason has been that most times, rejection is simply redirection. When people continually reject you, it is because God is redirecting you. One of the core secrets of great people is in their ability to handle and overcome rejection without harbouring any form of bitterness. Don’t ever give in to people’s rejection; rather, ask God to redirect you to your place of destiny fulfilment.

Alexander Graham Bell said: “When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.God sometimes allow men to reject us so that we don’t settle for less than what he has for us, because those that settle for less don’t get the best out of life. Whether in relationships or career, we must have a healthy approach to rejection, which is to see it as redirection.

4.Your Words Matter

John C. Maxwell said: “A word of encouragement from a teacher to a child can change a life. A word of encouragement from a spouse can save a marriage. A word of encouragement from a leader can inspire a person to reach his/her potential.”It is not what you are going through that defines you, but what you say in what you are going through. If God cannot change your word, he cannot change your life. What you are going through is temporal, but what you say in what you are going through is permanent. Be wise with words. Be mindful of your words. No matter what any prophet says about you, you always have the final say.

5.Your Value Does Not Decrease Based On Someone’s Inability To See Your Worth

I have often said that when you learn how much you are worth, you will stop giving people discounts. Tim Fargo: “If you want to improve your self-worth, stop giving other people the calculator.” We must believe totally that we carry within us a special form of “currency” that cannot be devalued. In order to maintain a healthy self-image, there are three things that must be vehemently resisted in life: “Don’t ever look down on yourself,” “Don’t ever allow anyone to look down on you” and “Don’t ever look down on anyone.”Nobody, I repeat, nobody, can make you inferior without your own consent. An internal security will always produce an outward stability.

6.Be Yourself, Everyone Else Is Already Taken

Myles Munroe said: “Most people don’t know who they are, so they die as someone else.” The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are. Until you live a life that is truly yours, you have not lived.Many people live a larger part of their life wanting to be someone else. For all the time you work hard to being someone else, they are wasted years.

7.Stop Asking For Permission

If you live on people’s acceptance, you will die from their rejection. Madonna Ciccone said: “Poor is the man whose pleasures depend on the permission of another.”I have observed that the greatest hindrance to living a fulfilling life is being ‘stuck’ on other people’s opinion and permission. There are two things that we can perpetually live on: ‘Permission’ or ‘Conviction.’ Great people live on the latter, while the former is meant for lesser souls. Live on conviction and stop asking for permission. Make no apologies for following your heart; a man on a mission needs no permission.

8.Making Mistakes Is An Integral Part Of Success

Tony Robbins said: “No matter how many mistakes you make, you’re still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying.” In life, the fellow who never makes a mistake takes his order from the one who does. Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new. When we were in school, the smartest people were always those that didn’t make mistakes in class. I am sure you remember them; they always get the good grades and sometimes even 100 per cent. As time went on, you suddenly realised that the real smart people were actually those that made enough mistakes and learned from them. Mistakes are integral parts of the learning process. Any learning process that does not accommodate making mistakes will always short-circuit learners’ capacity for innovation. Abraham Lincoln said: “The man who is incapable of making mistakes is incapable of anything.”

9.The World Owes You Nothing

[/b]The worst form of mentality to carry around is ‘entitlement mentality.’ Next to it is ‘victim’s mentality.’ All you will ever get from life are the things you demand from it. No one will give you what you deserve; you are the only one that can create the life that you want. The worst thing that can happen to you as a young person is to refuse to grow up. You refuse to grow up when you believe that someone else must take responsibility for your life and life circumstances. John Wooden said: “You can make mistakes, but you aren’t a failure until you start blaming others for those mistakes.”

[b]10.Failure Is Feedback

The only thing worse than failure is our wrong approach to it. Our approach to failure will determine how long we stay in it. The acclaimed father of modern automobile, Henry Ford, forgot to put a reverse gear in his first car. It was a massive error for a car that was much awaited by many. When Ford was asked to say something about his global blunder, he ended up redefining the erroneous interpretation of failure. He said: “Failure is simply an opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.”Many people fail continuously simply because they do not learn from the previous failure. Nelson Mandela said: “I never lose; I either win or learn.”Don’t see failure as setback; see failure as feedback.

11.There Is Nothing That Is Ready-Made

There is nothing that is ready-made; all you need has been given, the challenge is just that they might not be in the form that you need it. The reason why there is scarcity in your life is not because you don’t have what you need; it is simply because what you need is in a form that you are too lazy to work upon. The liberating truth against scarcity is to believe that you already have what you need, but not necessarily in the form that you needed it. You need to work on what you have presently to get what you need out of life. Nobody gets the best out of life automatically; the best comes as we work on the good that we have presently.

Truth is, no relationship is perfect. We can, however, make our relationship more fulfilling and exciting. A good relationship requires effort, hardwork and dedication from both partners. The wife or husband that you want does not exist; you may need to work on the lady or man in your life presently to get what you want.

12.Value Family And Relationships More Than Money

Family is everything; you must never sacrifice family for business. Those that succeed at home will eventually employ those that struggle at home. Walt Disney said: “A man should never neglect his family for business.”I have come a long way in life to realise that the only resources that is inexhaustible in life is relationship. This doesn’t suggest that we shouldn’t make money, but rather, we must not prioritise it above relationship.

Career / Re: What Is The Highest Monthly Salary Of Someone You Know In Nigeria? by teemanbastos(m): 1:00pm On Sep 16, 2018
Wonderful Comments here but I'm amazed.
High Income Earners have their income based on time, security, accommodation allowances.
The companies and FG pay more is that they pay for your time(unexpected travelling etc , then security risks)..

For Nigeria now, Monthly President earns over N2 000 000(not sure) ,A Senator earns N750 000,A governor has a basic pay of N700 000, then Professors earn about N500 000..Top civil servants earn close to N500 000
These are the high earners in Nigeria Civil service.
Any other funds could come from allowances that may ensue from THEIR SERVICES TO THE COUNTRY. Maybe Buhari wants to travel abroad with some ministers, governors, the State pays the allowances attached etc, also Accommodation allowances are paid for these people too.. So normally o, if you earn above N200 000 in Nigeria, you're rich. If the economy was very good, with N200 000 you could build a decent bungalow. But I believe we are getting there when you wouldn't even need to earn 100,000 to live a comfortable life.

For Private Sector, Salaries are based on profits and personal agreements that staff make with them.
So here you could either be earning very high or not depending on the value you attract.

How do I know gauge someone's salary? Look at his spread, and what he is managing, Salaries are graded according to the number of things you are managing and involved in. Someone who sells to 10 people only and someone who sells to 10 000 people cannot earn the same thing, someone who is providing a service to or for 1 000 000 people and another that is providing a service to or for 150 000 people cannot earn the same.

In Short don't be too moved by money, someone that is earning 2M/month didn't just start earning it, he started from earning maybe as low as 20k/month and kept on and kept on... High earners are people who have reached the pinnacle or are in top spots of their respective careers.
Rome wasn't built in a day.

But you know for 9ja we too like to dey show off, but let's be real with ourselves so that we stop living in debts or engaging in fraudulent activities just to 'be among'.. Nothing like wealth with peace of mind.

joseph6071:
BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO: BIOGRAPHY, NETWORTH AND HISTORY ABOUT HIS MINISTRATIONS

Now let us talk about the daddy here, popularly known by the Living Faith Church members and others interested in his ministry as “PAPA”. He is a man of influence all over Nigeria and in other part of the world. Although some controversies had stirred up about him in the past, but that has never moved him for once. Ladies and gentlemen, permit me to introduce the man of the hour.

ABOUT BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO

FULL NAME: BISHOP (DR) DAVID O. OYEDEPO (The ‘O’ in his name stands for Olaniyi).

AGE: Currently, he is 64 Years Old, born on the 27th of September, 1954.

STATE OF ORIGIN: Born in Osun State, but an indigene of Kwara State, Omu-aran to be precised.

EDUCATION: He had his degree in Architecture from Kwara State Polytechnic which he used for just a short period of time working with Federal ministry of Housing also in kwara (Ilorin). He also has an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Honolulu, Hawaii. though, he does not need his degree for anything whatsoever.

NET-WORTH: Forbes claimed that he was worth $150 million, but he disagreed plainly, telling them he was worth more than $150 million. That caused a whole lot of uproar then, but the problem was that people only got one side of what he said and ignored the rest. After he said he was worth more than that, he also added that he is worth all the Riches in glory, quoting from the scriptures.

Now about his family.

BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO’S FAMILY

WIFE: when Bishop David Oyedepo says he has a hitch free marriage for 36 years now, you would not believe it can ever happen until you hear his testimony. I have been privileged to listen to both him and his wife (Pastor Faith Oyedepo, popularly known as “MAMA”) talk about their marriage. He said that before he got married he asked God for one thing which is a hitch free marriage and God granted him his request from scriptures. That there was a time when he went to see a marriage counselor and told him what God told him about marriage and the reply of the counselor was that “it is not possible for two people to be close to each other for long and not step on each other’s toes” and he relied the counselor and said that “But both of us have been sitting close to each other since, how comes I have not stepped on your toes”.lol, deep right?

When I listened to mama’s side, what drew my attention was that she said they did their courtship before marriage for seven (7) good years, yeah I placed it in a bracket so you know I mean 7. How many people even court for up to a year now? Very few. And that he was so into God from a young age. They were in the same bible school but were just ‘friends’ from far, then God spoke to both of them and the magic happened.

CHILDREN: Bishop David Oyedepo and his wife are blessed with four lovely children, they are; David Oyedepo Jnr. (Presently the Residential pastor of Living Faith Worldwide), Joys Oyedepo (You need to hear her talk, believe me, you do), Love Oyedepo and Isaac Oyedepo.

Let me quickly chip this in, because it is also important to know. As at the time David Oyedepo Jnr was to be born, the devil struck with the miscarriage face, and when papa was back home, mama came crying to him that she had a miscarriage and see what he replied her with “NO, IT CANNOT HAPPEN, NOW CAN I HAVE MY FOOD PLEASE?”. It may also interest you to know that while she was heavily pregnant, he ordered them to put a mad man alone with her in his car. Someone join me say Faaaaaaith yeeeeah!!!.

PROMINENT INVESTMENTS

- COVENANT UNIVERSITY: Located at Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. It has been the best private university in Nigeria for quite a long time now and is also gaining a whole lot of global recognitions by the day.

- LANDMARK UNIVERSITY: Located in his hometown, Omu-aran in Kwara State. The university is known majorly for its agricultural practices

- SECONDARY SCHOOLS: The likes of Faith Academy, C.U.S.S and so on.

CHURCH STRUCTURE AND CAPACITY

The church was founded on the 11th of December, 1983 and it holds a capacity of 50,000 people per service, it is also known that the whole construction of the church was just in 12 months. Although the new faith theatre that is coming up is to accommodate 100,000 people per service.

LET’S TALK ABOUT HIS MINISTRY

Bishop David Oyedepo gave his life to Christ at a very young age (15 years Old) in the year 1969. He wasn’t raised fully by his parents though, he was raised by his grandmother, she taught him everything that he is putting to work now. There was a time he said it jokingly that if his grand mum was alive, that he would buy her an aircraft, whether she will use it or not.

He received an 18 hours encounter with God in 1981, where God revealed to him clearly the mandate of the church which is to preach the word of faith to liberate the world from the oppression of the devil.

Living Faith Church started originally in Kaduna state, before God moved him to the village, Ota in ogun state to continue the work. There was a time he said he went to a partuclar community with his prayer partner for evangelism, and when they got there, he asked if there was any church there and they said none and he asked that even catholic? And they said No, then he knelt down and said “God, may I not leave this place the way I met it” and in 40 days they already set up a church and the oldest man in the community gave him a lantern and said to him “Son, the light you have shined to this community, shall shine to the world”, now isn’t it shining?

Family / Certified Ways To Solve And Avoid All Misunderstandings In All Relationships. by teemanbastos(m): 5:24pm On Aug 16, 2018
What is misunderstanding?
Misunderstanding is simply failing to understand someone or something perfectly.

What causes Misunderstanding?
Lack of adequate communication and good listening skills.

Anywhere there is a problem, anywhere there is bitterness, anger, rancor, animosity, grudges, hostility, antipathy.. There is NO COMMUNICATION or do I say there is no Adequate Communication.
All problems that lie between individuals in the world is rooted in inadequate communication,
Two people disagree because
1. BOTH have not studied themselves properly.
2. Both have limited themselves in listening.

It takes TWO to disagree, and it takes TWO to agree.

The two major ways to Solving all disagreements and Avoiding Fights are:

1. Know yourself: It is amazing that We know alot about sports, politics, fashion, education, marketing, business, children but We don't know about ourselves, of course we know what car would fit our desires, what food would suit our appetites, what dress would fit our bodies, what gets us angry, what makes us happy but we don't know how to qualitatively control our minds and our thoughts- and this has stemmed from low self esteem which has grown with us from childhood, All the times we see everything wrong in everything around us but we fail to see anything wrong in How we See everything wrong around us, and all the times it is how we see that is marvelously unique and weird-this is because every man would always proclaim his own goodness but only when God's words is placed as the standard would we see our frailties.
When we know ourselves, we would realize that it takes two people to disagree, so most times, when we are angry with others over what they said or what they did, we should take into consideration what we have also said too and how we have also acted too, it takes two to tango, in this way, when we honestly acknowledge our roles and honestly judge our actions not phariseetically(sic) but objectively through God's word then would we be steering towards the road of never misunderstanding others' in our day to day activities. The ultimate and best way to knowing ourselves is direct interaction with the creator who has the manual and controls our rising up and laying down every day in his eternal blessed Word - The Bible. Daily, Non-judgmental, Non-hypocritical and Persistent interaction with the Bible reveals our weaknesses, shows us how it can be corrected and sets us on the path to Freedom, Wisdom and Building Superb Interpersonal relationships with our Spouse, Family members, Colleagues and Neighbors.

2. Communication:
Communication is the Seed of Intimacy. Anything you don't communicate or talk with, you don't have any intimate relationship with that thing or person.
Every Break in Relationship you have experienced or you are experiencing is because of break in relationship.
Break in relationship is a two way thing, anything could have caused it - which could be trivial, but once any break in communication occurs, it is better sorted out instantly by communicating, the use of words such as 'I'm Sorry' even when we perceive ourselves blameless is NOT A SHOW OF WEAKNESS AS PERCEIVED GENERALLY BUT A SHOW OF STRENGTH, why is this?
You simply place a better premium on the Relationship of the two parties involved than on your personal gratification - you value the relationship of you and your spouse, you and your friend, you and your brother, you and your colleague, you and your neighbor ahead of your personal and selfish feeling of being right and always right. Ego and Pride never promotes relationship, it demotes and weakens relationship ties, Humility promotes and strengthens relationships in any place anytime.

3. Love: Herein lies the Solution to ALL the World's problems. The World was Created in Love and by Love since God is Love.
The True Characteristics of Love towards One's Fellow Man As Given By God through the Great Sage Paul are:
-Not Envious
-Patient
-Kind
-Not Jealous
-Not Boastful
-Not Pride and Haughty
-Not insisting on one's rights
-Not touchy, Not resentful
-Not recording every wrong of a fellow man
-Not rejoicing at wicked acts
-Believes the best of Every Human Being
-Endures everything
-Always Wins
The Perfect Solution to All Misunderstandings, Human relations breakups lie in All the vital 3 criteria listed has proven to solve all human relationship problems and Would Solve All present and future relationships problems.

Thanks for reading.

Nairaland / General / You Have All You Need To Be Rich. by teemanbastos(m): 2:54pm On Jul 28, 2018
How do I get wealth? How do I get rich.?

You have all you need to get rich,
There is something peculiar in you, you can do it effortlessly, yes there is something that you can do effortlessly... Train yourself in it, build it.
You know you can sing effortlessly, then what are you waiting for, start singing, write the songs and start singing to people for free, OFFER FREE SHOWS, the more you do.. The better you get at it and the money would sooner start flowing in.

You Naturally can write, go online and take writing courses, start reading widely and take freelancing jobs and you'll get paid.the more you write the better you get at it.

You are a good speaker, take trainings in public speaking and practice freely first and take MC jobs and the money will start coming.

But stop comparing yourself, stop it! The person you are comparing yourself is using his talent he has developed, he is developing effortlessly to create a niche for himself and you don't have his talents, you so much focus on what others' have and take off your eyes from what you have? No! You have everything in you.

You can manipulate things with your hands easily, you can use a broomstick to make a bag, that's what God has deposited into you to be a blessed individual on earth, develop yourself on it, and start using such talents fully.

Remember whoever is wealthy today and has a reached a high point in his career today started from just a bare ground, but self education, self growth and believing in what he has has catapulted them from the realms of mediocrity and complaints to path finders, trail blazers and those who make things happen.

Use what YOU HAVE to GET WHAT YOU WANT Legitly.
Nairaland / General / 5 Things To Do To Have A Wonderful Week. by teemanbastos(m): 5:00am On Jul 23, 2018
I discovered that Most Nigerians today are experiencing deficiency of happiness and this lead to even greater problems outside as we can't give what we don't have.

1. Starting the day with Prayers and Reading the Bible : This is really paramount, you commit all your ways to the ever loving Father, you ask him for anything in Jesus The Christ's Name and be sure that everything you ask for will be answered. Ask him for Inner peace and Outer peace. There are biblical references that can back up your prayers.

2. Positive Confessions : What you say is what you are and what you say is what you get, some of us are not conscious of what we say and we keep getting vexed when we start getting results of what we say, start saying things that are positive and stop negatizing your life by the situations you see, because there's a bad situation outside doesn't mean you should talk your way into it, instead Talk your way out of it.. Since Death and Power lies in the tongue.

3. Start each day with a glad spirit : How do I do this, don't wake up with a grudge or grudges, forgive and be internally happy, once you get offended (which is a choice), let go of it immediately so that your inner peace would be guaranteed.

4. Spend time with things and people that build your life positively: you can't spend your time reading and meditating on lies, hearing lies and not be held down by its resulting effects:fear and anxiety, so spend time with people and materials that will always assure you that you will succeed in every area of your life, this is really vital. Watch things, listen to things that will help you personally.

5. Make others' Happy: show love to ALL you meet in ways you want to, whether you get appreciated or not, please show love always, in showing other's love, you are loving yourself more and more and getting happier, don't complain that you are not been shown love, stand up and show others' love. Could be a greeting to your neighbor, a compliment to that Cab driver, an Hi to that bikeman etc..
One who shares Love is never deficient of love.

You can of course have anything you want if you so desire It.. Desire Inner Peace and every other thing falls in Line. Don't be cowed by Fears because God instead has given us the spirit of power, love and a sound mind, ask Him and you are good to go.
If you haven't started doing all this, You can always start practicing all the above this week and you'll be amazed at the highly productive results, if you have been doing all this, continue, Because people are appreciating you behind your back, and NO DEED GOES UNREWARDED.
Have a blessed and a inspiring week.

Religion / Why It Is Not Difficult To Enter Into Heaven. by teemanbastos(m): 12:02pm On Jul 15, 2018
Happy Sunday Friends.

God has created everyone and the day he did so, He gave man all he created, the only job was for man to act as custodians over all he created, this started it all

"Ge 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

What now happened? Man fell by unbelief, we started seeing good things as bad and bad things as good-which is the pervading deception still ravaging our present day world. Still then, the things meant to dominate us started dominating us, we became slaves to things, slaves to our emotions and self, that this happens today.

Then The Laws were introduced by God to guide man, all Laws in every part of the world bear the prints. In Exodus 20 v 3 - 17(Amplified Bible)

"
3You shall have no other gods before or besides Me.

4You shall not make yourself any graven image [to worship it] or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;

5You shall not bow down yourself to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me.

6But showing mercy and steadfast love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments.

7You shall not use or repeat the name of the Lord your God in vain [that is, lightly or frivolously, in false affirmations or profanely]; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

8[Earnestly] remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy (withdrawn from common employment and dedicated to God).

9Six days you shall labor and do all your work,

10But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, your daughter, your manservant, your maidservant, your domestic animals, or the sojourner within your gates.

11For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it [set it apart for His purposes].

12Regard (treat with honor, due obedience, and courtesy) your father and mother, that your days may be long in the land the Lord your God gives you.

13You shall not commit murder.

14You shall not commit adultery.

15You shall not steal.

16You shall not witness falsely against your neighbor.

17You shall not covet your neighbor's house, your neighbor's wife, or his manservant, or his maidservant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's."

But the Laws didn't bring Perfect Sanity as it hasn't today in our present world.

The Solution was for God himself to manifest himself as a man, he did and he was a spectacular being who lived his life spotless, he died but he rose again. He defeated all the negative forces making us slaves to our emotions, and objects created, from fears and ignorance. He was the light, the darkness disappeared when he came. BUT we have to believe God did come in flesh As JESUS the Christ from Israel, when we believe, we are Good to go.

Then yet, since deception is humanity's greatest problem, Ignorance its kind was birthed, We are blinded, we don't see, what is right we see as wrong because we standing at the wrong point, we are focusing on others' but we rarely look inwards and rarely observe what we say, what we do and our attitudes critically.

The only Thing to do is to believe, once you do, then You're good to Go.
When you believe in something, you keep faith in the something, you devote to it, you Love it.
Now when you believe Sincerely in God, you would keep on seeing life really well and start knowing that the problems is ourselves and not others, then we grow daily.

Then After You believe in your heart firmly , then you use your mouth to keep affirming it and your sight would be made open and you start enjoying your purpose of creation with joys that stem from the heart.

" Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

Then why is it a hard thing to get saved and changed?

The problems experienced is this, when we give our lives to Jesus Christ, we want to still continuing living by sight and we doubt, once you doubt in anything in life, you know you wouldn't be up to par.. I was writing a test yesterday and it got to a point I was doubting and the confidence left until I had to recheck and then blazed over the answer with belief.
All the time, we make decisions by sight, we didn't see God, we believed him and we got saved then how come we now make decisions based on situations, emotions and not totally have Faith in God.
?

This happened before.
"Mat 14:24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
14:25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
14:26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
14:27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
14:28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
14:29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

We represent the Peter in the story and the roaring seas Life challenges. Relate to it and see what happens when we lose Faith and when we gain Faith again.

Friends, When you believe In Jesus the Christ, it's for yourself and to enjoy life and be fulfilled in life. It's not your parents, your fans, your colleagues etc.. It is for yourself, when you are alone, only God can be a perfect companion.
Reading the BIBLE shows you how others' who came before lived, How Jesus Came, How the Apostles who were the CHANGE agents came, then How you too can be a STAR and someone who did well enough to write his name ON HISTORY's BOOKS.
READ the Bible daily, pray for God's enlightenment and you'll see 100.00% of all your problems would have been solved before you go out that day but JUST BELIEVE and stop asking how! BELIEVE.. JUST BELIEVE... JUST BELIEVE... BELIEVE.

Entering into Heaven is not Hard afterall..
Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The Above statement Jesus made was not made to instill fear in any one because he has not given us the SPIRIT OF FEAR but of POWER and of a SOUND MIND. the statement was made because few people are only in the road, the emphasis was on the people not the way itself.

Heaven is God's wish for all of us but we have to change our viewpoints and believe, how you see is what matters, change the way you see and you'll be shocked at the amazing goodies Life through Jesus has to offer.
Experiencing heaven on earth becomes a reality(no Fear-whatever the fear, fear of failure, fear of future fear of wealth, fear of money, fear of people, fear of books, fear of criticisms, fear of sickness, fear of accidents, fear of death, ANXIETY, MIND ATTACKS, DEPRESSIVE THOUGHTS, ANGERED MINDS again but JOY, PEACE AND A SOUND MIND). many are basking in that reality, join.. And obviously when you are in heaven on earth, After Death, Heaven becomes a REALITY too.

JESUS agains calls out.
Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Just Believe and Confess with your mouth.

Thank you for your time.
Nothing as beautiful as THE LIGHT.
I took my Bible references from the KJV version and the indicated Amplified version.

Those who commented above about Ronaldo and Zuckerberg.. The difference lies in VALUE.
WEALTH is a function of VALUE.
How many people are you valuable to? What value do you have? Nowadays People are chasing money and they have no value to give? It doesn't work like that.
The Billionaire mindset knows this and keep on building Their value, they read books, they keep on learning.
My friends, build your value and wealth will follow.
Pursuing money without adding value is like pouring water into a basket, it rarely lasts.
Wealth gotten by Hardwork lasts than that gotten by Favor.

Have a beautiful day.

Politics / Re: Zainab, Buba Galadima Daughter Works For The Presidency (Photos) by teemanbastos(m): 9:09am On Jul 07, 2018
This got me thinking.

Nigeria would have been in this situation today irrespective of whoever is president, the only difference would have been the approach to solving the problem, presently we are seeing how Buhari is tackling the problem.

But what amazes me is the thinking that It's a president that will change the whole situation, if Trump comes to Nigeria to rule, he wouldn't do better than Buhari because the citizens themselves are the problem.
One individual attacking Buhari of integrity issues has not returned the coke bottle he bought for over two weeks back to the seller yet he attacks viciously.
Another individual has stolen her husband's money countless times yet attacks others.
That Senator has awarded contracts to his own company all in the name of budget padding and attacks the government.
Another individual has always been shortchanging buyers in the market place attacks Buhari..
Then who is the problem?

My people, it's a collective effort... You that you are attacking Buhari of making life difficult for Nigerians, what can your immediate neighbors say about you?
You that you're attacking Buhari of sponsoring herdsmen, are you not the individual gossiping and murdering people's images behind their backs?
You that you're quick to attack good projects the government has set up, are you using that rented house well? Are you not the type that says.. "it's not my house, I can use it anyhow".?
You that is quick to call another tribal group a terrorist, Are you not the one terrorizing your neighborhood by blasting deafening music when people are sleeping?

Is it Buhari or Is it not the collective effort of each Nigerian?

My People, Change begins with Us.

It's a collective Job.

Change the mentality and everything falls in line.
We can't give what we don't have, how you treat others only represents the state of your mind.

Change begins with Me.
