epstitch:

hey!
best for moisturising and glowing skin at the same time, is Rose Water. i would recommend Boots glycerin and rosewater. For a body cream that is suitable for moisturising and smoothning the skin, is Jergens skin smoothning. Its perfect, i can tell you that cause i know!
so heres what you'D do, buy Jergens, and Rose water, pour about half the contents of rosewater into the jergens bottle and mix well. What your doing is basically getting the moisturising, toning, skin smoothning, all in one!
Infact, once in awhile, liberally apply rosewater on the face, its kind of greasy so go a little at a time!
thanks for reading!

Thanks Darlyn. Now what I need to know is, should I use the glycerin/rosewater to cleanse my face after bath or just rub the mixed cream only?

@poster
I understand your friend's agony, its so sad.

Be that as it may, taking her life is not the solution the problem. She is not the only one is such a situation. Am not a doctor, neither do I have medical experience of any sort but I trust the doctors we have in this forum, definitely someone will profer a reasonable solution. Meantime, what your friend needs most now is love and counseling, she should be brave and see her present condition as part of the challenges of life. Let her be positive, and remember that she has the life of the innocent child to protect. Above all, she should find solace in God who is the impossiblity specalist. I commend your efforts to save her and I also encourage you to pray for her. Goodluck!

MyPeace, I wish you and all those colleagues intending to enroll a success.

But MyPeace, will they admit you direct to Masters without going through a Post Graduate Diploma? I have to go through a PGD before I got mine.

Anyway, I wish you luck.

Ya! if you have BSc or B. Ed with good grade you dont need to do PGD before Master.
But for those of us with HND, PGD is mandatory unless you have some other Professional qualification (s) acceptable in some schools.

@mypeace, dont panic, UNILAG do consider there students first just like any other school but that should not discourage you, I believe they will have enough quota for others, though they do give prefrence to some schools first as well as result.
Anyhow, just press your button well wink

Goodluck!

hi tankz alot you guys am rely impressed.
the relationship in ques will be a year this month.
i guess some of you are right, he is jus there to eat something else. then he actualy mentioned that his stomach is sensitive and all that. that he had an experience with one of his aunt, after eating in her house, so he concluded to alwys have his meal prepared himself, to avoid future occurence.

but do you think he will ever eat his wife meal when he is maried?

My dear, this is a very big question.  No matter the level of our education, we can never do away with African tradition which demands that a woman should cook for the husband.  With a year old r/ship, this issue is a sensitive one especially if both of you have agreed to get married.  If this guy is geninue and sincere, he ought to have let you into his world so that you get to know what is good for his system and what is not.  The truth remains that if he gets married to you some day, he can not continue cooking for himself.   Moreover, if to him you are just a girl friend, then he might never eat your food. One of my uncles hardly eat food prepared by someone else except the food his wife prepared or sometimes, he does the cooking himself.  So discuss with your Man in  details but let it not be confrontational, I wish you all the best.

PUBLIC NOTICE

REVERSAL OF SALE OF NITEL TO TRANSCORP

Transitional Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp) is now in receipt of a letter

signed by the Honourable Minister of Information and Communications stating that

the Federal Government has reversed the sale of of NITEL and MTel.

Ironically, the purported reversal comes at a very crucial period in the actualization

of Transcorp's efforts at revitalizing both organizations.  among other intiatives,

Trancorp had indeed identified and reached final stages in negotiation with potential

technical partners.

The Board and Management of Trancorp is critically reviewing this development

especially as it relates to the interest of our over 250,000 shareholders.

It is pleasing to note that the present Federal Government prides itself significantly on

upholding Due Process and the Rule of Law both of which Transcorp also intends to

follow in this instance.

Bearing this in mind, our official position on the purpoted reversal will be

communicated to all stakeholders in the immediate future.

In the meantime. we crave for the patience and understanding of our shareholders,

financial and technical partners as we go through this rather stormy period of our

corporate existence.  We assure you that we are doing everything within our power

to protect your investment.

We are certain of an amicable settlement of this challenge in our favour.

Thanks you for your understanding.

Family / Re: How Necessary Is Marriage? by teena(f): 12:00pm On Jan 24, 2008
Some cases make most of us who are yet to marry get confused.
There is this uncle of mine, a young and rich man that I used to live with. He had a wife with two lovely kids; to everyone around he loves his wife and kids and can go to any lenght to make them happy. In fact we used to envy them in those days. The woman has a good character to make any man happy in marriage and the husband does not deny that.

To our greatest surprise, few years back, my uncle brought another girl to the house for marriage. This led to series of crisis in the house, so many of us objected to it yet the man had his way. We tried to inquire from him what was the wife's offence, he said she did nothing but that he just felt like having a second wife.

Just last year, he got a third wife. The first wife is still nice and submissive as she used to be and that is why we, the inlaws do not joke with her affairs. Notably, my uncle was the first and only man in that woman's life and they married when he was still trying to find his feet financially.

The reason why my uncle chose to indulge in this polygamy is still a mystery to all of us. Moreso he still show love and respect to the first wife and takes good care of her and the kids.

What's marriage turning into? undecided

finicky:

Thanks Angelmart, Mypeace, I appreciate your responses, i need a more advice on this, i'm currently serving in a satellite communications company, though they have a legal department, i was sent to the HR department, for most times there i have nothing to do, i'm begining to feel i should look for another place for my NYSC, a place where i will at least get some experience as a lawyer, i'm not really interested in advocacy as i know [pardon my words] it sucks, i've spent more than a month in law firms that advocates-going to court and all that stuff,- i want nothing of advocacy execpt if i have to do it for charity, but i still feel i need experience, i feel i should leave this place for a firm, plus i have so much free time here i could invest it in studying even if it in in the office, but the thought of sitting doing nothing all day [sometimes a get to do a little memo here and there] but most times i just browse myself off.

I understand your point Fincky.  From my own point of view, I think employers lack trust in the value of education in our country presently.  That is why they don't feel comfortable assigning the desired jobs to NYSC members.  When I did my own service in 2005, I was posted to a Local Government Council (HR Dept), no particular job was assigned to me and I had no desk.  They were using me as errand girl until they found out that I could type very well, then they would park lots of job and give me to type.  I will be the one to go and look for typewriter (manual) and typing materials to use and do the job for them.

It was fraustrating,  I had to make alternative arrangements, that was when I got this place am working now, I started then on contract basis because I was reporting at the Council thrice a week b/w 8am - 2pm so I had time to prove my worth in my present job.  That's how they employed me after my NYSC, its not my desired job but at least it was a good start.

So spray your net, but before then try and see what you can grab from that place especially from their Legal Dept and through the internet. I wish you good luck!

Compliments of the season to you all!

i would like the contribution of all to a pressing question that has been bordering me for so long and i m sure most of you must have encountered such situation one way or the other.

I attended an interview and was asked to handle this scenario: I am a Secretary to the MD/CEO (who is a male) of an organisation and my boss is attending to a female friend (Girl friend to be precise) in his office while his wife is at the reception waiting to see him. Hw will i prevent the wife from knowing what was going on in his office or prevent her from entering the office?

Secondly, My Boss is owing someone some amount of money and the person came to the office to seek for the payment of his money but my boss does not want to see him. Meanwhile the Creditor insisted on collecting his money that day. Hw will i handle the situation?

Your contributions would be highly appreciated as i ve never encountered such situation since my MD is a female but i would like to know in case i m employed to work with a male.

Thanks smiley

@Kubirat, you are welcome.

Honestly, these 2 scenarios are not  easy to handle. Thanks to Mypeace for the contrinution.

In the case of a Creditor, I think the best thing is to issue strict order at the Security Post to prevent the person from entering the office at all.  I had such a case some time last year. The creditor was a woman and we all know that most women are very stubborn especially when it comes to drawing debts. In this case, the securtiy man was not informed, and knowing the woman as one of our suppliers, he allowed her in.  The woman entered the reception and asked to meet my Boss, the receptionist said he wasnt available then, the woman just pushed her by the side and walked straight into my Boss office before the receptionist could ring me.  She insisted that she was not going anywhere until her money was paid.  Ofcourse, my Boss had no choice than to write a post-dated cheque for her.

@Ajike, the Nigerian Banking sector is not an encouraging place in terms of employment for all HND Holders no matter the course, the schl and the grade. All the same, I encourage you not to relent, try to make good use of every available opporunity to add something to your career. If you acquire experience is a bank, you can always seek for full employment in another one or do a Banking programme if you wish to pursue your career there. I have many coursemates in the banking sector but most of them are Contract Staff. Meanwhile, one of them just secured job in another bank now with her experience and her take home is not less than 120K. I wish you goodluck!

Yes my dear Simi, I think you have taken the best decision for you in this issue. I am an Ibo lady and from your posts, I believe your guy likes you , wouldnt want to hurt you, but cannot marry you. There must be some issues at stake for his reason, as he is travelling to Nigeria for such a period of time now, its likely a wife has been arranged already for him by his pple back home or he is coming home to select the MISS RIGHT.

Be that as it may, I respect his courage of letting you know his stand on the relationshp without sentiments. Honestly, its not easy for us ladies to let go our partners when we are sincerely in love but I pray you draw strenghts from that and move on with your life as I hope that God shall soon bless you with the right man that will suit your heart desire.

GOODLUCK!

I have not passed through this, but for wedding I love such colours as cream combined with pink, sea-green or wine. What about something like yellow clothes, with blue gele and accessories for your own friends? Just my 2 cent though. I know our young 'Iyawos' will respond soonest because I want to learn too.
