Politics / Re: More Buhari’s Ministers To Get Sirika Treatment – Newtelegraphng by Teenaira: 3:22pm On Apr 28 |
ibechris: In a way, I will like to support plea bargaining. First thing, it will help the government reflate it's purse. Second, no long drama in the court. Besides, a court case is like Baba Ijebu. Even with clear evidence, you can still loose on technical ground or non diligent prosecution. Third, court case can drag for ages, infact the accused may die before the end of the case. Also, if there is a change of personnel in EFCC in the middle of the case, then end of case. Fourth, the cases in court are so many making even the courts to be overwhelmed. Fifth, we can start anti corruption fight with plea bargaining as a short term solution and progress with more stringent measures in the future. Six, the accused can buy justice or get corruption to fight back. Either way Nigeria is the looser. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Is Ola Olukoyede Qualified To Be EFCC Chairman? by Teenaira: 11:16am On Apr 28 |
The man is over qualified for the position. Even you the OP is qualified to hold the position. Remember the qualification to be the president of Nigeria is just to attempt Secondary school exam according to our constitution. What I believe we should be looking at is, does he have the capacity to do the job? If you don't know, that job is a very risky job because you are going to be fighting those who destroyed Nigeria and who are also your "BOSS". Those who took that office before now are usually disgraced out of office. Whoever is holding that office needs the support of all Nigerians to succeed because corruption is everywhere in the country. Note that we have 36 states in Nigeria and we have a lot of stronger Bellos in these states. Infact, we have lots of Bellos in the 2 houses and as ministers and head of various agencies and parastals and even other criminals. Nigeria is indeed in a pathetic state and needs lots of help. Please be the help, I will. 1 Like 1 Share |

WizardOfNG: Why are they charging in dollars and not in Naira ? Their operation is illegal. The school should revert to charging Naira or be closed down to stop the illegality. 1 Like |

Instead of them to investigate this very common allegations you made now, they may start looking for you. Even though the police are our brothers and sisters but they behave as if they are not Nigerians. Let's continue to bring up their criminal acts, may be and may be somebody will take an action. 2 Likes |
Business / Re: Dollar Rise: EFCC Continues Crackdown On Cryptocurrency Platforms, Others by Teenaira: 8:43am On Apr 22 |
Procashtips: You are indeed a good man. Everything you wrote about politics in Nigeria unfortunately is the true position but that is how it has been for more than 2 decades from now except for a few ingenious model introduced by the youth force who feel bitter about our elders who have continuously messed up the country. The truth is that it is indeed going to be tough to stop the so called politicians because the politicians are already with our money, they are loaded and they will easily buy their positions again and again. Immediately they get appointed the banks will give them even moneys they don't want. Besides, this is the norms in all the arms of government. So, you will agree with me it is indeed very tough. My view point is that whatever we can do individually to salvage Nigeria as a country we should keep doing them. Your contribution may look insignificant but the law of large numbers will make it count invariably. We have only one country called Nigeria. Whatever citizenship you acquire will be recognized so far you are making positive contribution to the country. Immediately something goes wrong, everybody will remember you are a Nigerian. |
Business / Re: Dollar Rise: EFCC Continues Crackdown On Cryptocurrency Platforms, Others by Teenaira: 7:36am On Apr 22 |
Ogonimilitant: Oga, the only reason you had a low exchange rate for decades is because CBN use your reserve to defend the Naira not because of any goods and services you export. Long term solution to high exchange rate is for a more favourable balance of trade in favour of Nigeria. Nigeria as we speak is still a dumping ground for all manners of junks. If you don't believe, ask our Igbo brothers. There is no magic wand anywhere, to improve the exchange rate we have to deal with speculation, reduce import and increase export of goods and services. Simple but difficult solution to implement. |

naija4life247: President Jonathan has his weak points just like me and you. I am not defending him for whatever reason but I there say there are a lot of things we are not privileged to know and which have strategic implications for the country. If we are not careful the way we are going, we might end up going for another civil war and the rest will be history. |

Onyi90: Consider this real life story. I wanted to print a one page document in a business center. The lady told me it is N300 per page for black and white and for coloured, it is N500. I did everything humanly possible to beg her to take N200 for the black and white and she refused claiming Tinubu has destroyed Nigeria. I was in a hurry so I agreed to pay. Three days later I went to a nearby business center and I printed same document for N100. It is still the same Tinubu that is the president o. Anyway, I will NEVER have anything to do with the first business center. It is true there is inflation but some people are hiding under Dollar done increase, to inflate prices. Some of them don't even know dollar is coming down now. 2 Likes 1 Share |

nuruajao: Oga, the northerners do not in anyway love themselves otherwise they won't keep the majority uneducated thereby making sure they are poor. They get the highest allocation of resources in Nigeria only to give handouts to the majority for political patronage. Education sets us wide apart, that is why wealth is relatively fairly distributed in the south. The north must stop the Almajiri system or Almajiri will kill and destroy Nigeria. |

We all know the truth of these stories, let’s move forward together and forget about the mistakes our elders did during their era after all they all contributed immensely to the development of the country within there capacity. We will also make our own mistakes now and our younger ones will have to correct them in other to move the country forward. 1 Like |

Praxis758: I was in Woolich Arsenal, UK sometime ago and just out of the train station, some young healthy Nigerians are begging me for money. I was wondering what the issue was. I later learnt they are UK citizens and they prefer not to work. If you give them any money, they use it on drugs. Could this also be as a result of bad governance in UK or a Tinubu effect ? 2 Likes |
