In Vietnam, they are sentencing them to death while Nigeria is pampering them.

Plea bargain is the real basis of corruption in the country.

It encourage politicians to steal at will.

In a way, I will like to support plea bargaining. First thing, it will help the government reflate it's purse. Second, no long drama in the court. Besides, a court case is like Baba Ijebu. Even with clear evidence, you can still loose on technical ground or non diligent prosecution. Third, court case can drag for ages, infact the accused may die before the end of the case. Also, if there is a change of personnel in EFCC in the middle of the case, then end of case. Fourth, the cases in court are so many making even the courts to be overwhelmed. Fifth, we can start anti corruption fight with plea bargaining as a short term solution and progress with more stringent measures in the future. Six, the accused can buy justice or get corruption to fight back. Either way Nigeria is the looser.

Politics / Re: Is Ola Olukoyede Qualified To Be EFCC Chairman? by Teenaira: 11:16am On Apr 28
The man is over qualified for the position. Even you the OP is qualified to hold the position. Remember the qualification to be the president of Nigeria is just to attempt Secondary school exam according to our constitution.

What I believe we should be looking at is, does he have the capacity to do the job? If you don't know, that job is a very risky job because you are going to be fighting those who destroyed Nigeria and who are also your "BOSS". Those who took that office before now are usually disgraced out of office. Whoever is holding that office needs the support of all Nigerians to succeed because corruption is everywhere in the country.

Note that we have 36 states in Nigeria and we have a lot of stronger Bellos in these states. Infact, we have lots of Bellos in the 2 houses and as ministers and head of various agencies and parastals and even other criminals. Nigeria is indeed in a pathetic state and needs lots of help. Please be the help, I will.

Politics / Re: Yahaya Bello: American School, Abuja Refunds $760,000 Fees by Teenaira: 5:25pm On Apr 27
WizardOfNG:
This is a credit to AIS. Obvious they don't want the prestige and reputation associated with their educational institution tainted publicly with 'dirty' money.

They proactively asked for an authentic account to refund the payment Bello made and EFCC provided it. They have now refunded the full amount immediately.

Commendable.

Why are they charging in dollars and not in Naira ? Their operation is illegal. The school should revert to charging Naira or be closed down to stop the illegality.

At an average conversion rate of N1200/$, that is a whooping N864 million for a child's school fees. Between this Yahaya Bello and Peter Obi, it's actually difficult to figure out who is more criminal than the other.

RRS In Aba Is A Criminal Organization

SARS didn't die. The useless officers were transferred to RRS.
These people drive around with sienna, no plate number, they kidnap innocent people and release them after they pay ransom.

If you hold a big phone, they will accuse you of being a scammer.
Last year, RRS went to a drinking joint in Aba and kidnapped about 4 people. They were taken to isialangwa and were asked to pay 200,000 each to be free.

A boy narrated how he went out to purchase a sim card and a sienna blocked the keke he was in. He was taken by the RRS guys. They kept driving through many streets in Aba while trying to make him pay a ransom. After they discovered the victim was broke as they accessed his bank account balance, they let him go.

Unfortunately, this is the reality of our times. I am very afraid of the so called law enforcement agencies because they rear criminals. Instead of them to investigate this very common allegations you made now, they may start looking for you. Even though the police are our brothers and sisters but they behave as if they are not Nigerians. Let's continue to bring up their criminal acts, may be and may be somebody will take an action.

Business / Re: Dollar Rise: EFCC Continues Crackdown On Cryptocurrency Platforms, Others by Teenaira: 8:43am On Apr 22
Procashtips:

Your government from counselor to President use foreign products, go to foreign schools, hospitals, vacations, drive foreign cars etc

Election time, they use USD to bribe people and delegates, turning naira to toilet paper in the process

After getting into power, they steal money, convert to dollars and other foreign currencies, then smuggle them out to other countries to buy properties.

They dont even invest it here in businesses or infrastructure. They allow our infrastructure rotten and embezzle whatever allocation they enmark (albeit padded and bloated) for same infrastructure only to steal them again.

You ignored these visible rubbish we have been seening for more than 40 years to blame cryptocurrency that's not even local to Nigeria or her economy.

What do you call this?
Is it that our educational system has been designed for us not to have critical thinkers?
To produce zombies who just love to follow the media narratives?

Whatever is trending is supported without real time questioning by the people?

The same currency is still being defended by the FG just like before, not knowing this means you obviously don't know anything about rate and the financial markets.

They're still defending the naira after allowing it to get to almost ₦2000.

Everything you're seeing now is artificial.

You don't pray for magic when you have nothing you export to serve as a comparative advantage for your local currency.

Naira can't be floated without getting to ₦5000, they realised this, so they started defending it with our reserve secretly while fooling gullibles on how Binance or Aboki FX made naira crash like these entities weren't existing before they took over last year.

Nigerians think and stop acting like zombies.

You are indeed a good man. Everything you wrote about politics in Nigeria unfortunately is the true position but that is how it has been for more than 2 decades from now except for a few ingenious model introduced by the youth force who feel bitter about our elders who have continuously messed up the country. The truth is that it is indeed going to be tough to stop the so called politicians because the politicians are already with our money, they are loaded and they will easily buy their positions again and again. Immediately they get appointed the banks will give them even moneys they don't want. Besides, this is the norms in all the arms of government. So, you will agree with me it is indeed very tough. My view point is that whatever we can do individually to salvage Nigeria as a country we should keep doing them. Your contribution may look insignificant but the law of large numbers will make it count invariably. We have only one country called Nigeria. Whatever citizenship you acquire will be recognized so far you are making positive contribution to the country. Immediately something goes wrong, everybody will remember you are a Nigerian.

This government is fool

Oga, the only reason you had a low exchange rate for decades is because CBN use your reserve to defend the Naira not because of any goods and services you export. Long term solution to high exchange rate is for a more favourable balance of trade in favour of Nigeria. Nigeria as we speak is still a dumping ground for all manners of junks. If you don't believe, ask our Igbo brothers. There is no magic wand anywhere, to improve the exchange rate we have to deal with speculation, reduce import and increase export of goods and services. Simple but difficult solution to implement.

These insurance companies gave me tough time on the field. My eye see wien, especially the one mentioned above. Check insurance companies out on Google before having anything to do with them. They go about promising what they can't do several generations from now. I currently work with Custodian Life Assurance Limited and the only reason why I accepted their offer when I joined them was simply because my late father started a 25-year plan with them in 1982, he died 2005, but we didn't know about it not until a friend of his asked if we've gone to collect it in 2006. He led us to the office, we were asked to bring some documents and we got his sum assured after 72 hours in April, 2006.

If oil theft will be reduced by 80% from current levels, dollar rate will fall. However, there are too many interests in the business. You see that attribute called patriotism - majority of Nigerians lack it. We jump on every opportunity to steal. It's no surprise that we have been rolling in a non-expanding circle for many decades. The problem of Nigeria is Nigeriansm. If me, you, & them decide to turn over a new leaf, our quality of life will improve.
By the way, make wuna help me celebrate FTC. It's not easy to be here. It takes grit, consistency and dedication to achieve this feat. Lol. Happy Iftar

This is Port Harcourt road, Aba.

Just like Otti met Abia in complete disrepair and is taking his time to clean up the state both through policy reforms and by provision of basic infrastructure like inner city connecting roads and other essential roads, so also did Peter Obi meet Anambra in a state of complete disrepair and he took his time to put the state on the path of irreversible growth.

Now, tomorrow, you would go to Abia and ask Abians what did Otti achieve because you are not seeing 15 skyscrapers erected by his administration and you think Ndi Abia will have it funny with you?

That’s why Ndi Anambra’s love for Peter Obi is eternal.

They know what Anambra was before he came. And they know what it became by the time he was leaving.

Are you campaigning for Peter Obi or you want to show us the achievement of Otti ? I am getting confused.

My thoughts too. Until it reflects in the life of Nigerians, it remains a jamboree

Consider this real life story.

I wanted to print a one page document in a business center. The lady told me it is N300 per page for black and white and for coloured, it is N500. I did everything humanly possible to beg her to take N200 for the black and white and she refused claiming Tinubu has destroyed Nigeria. I was in a hurry so I agreed to pay.

Three days later I went to a nearby business center and I printed same document for N100. It is still the same Tinubu that is the president o. Anyway, I will NEVER have anything to do with the first business center.

It is true there is inflation but some people are hiding under Dollar done increase, to inflate prices. Some of them don't even know dollar is coming down now.

Before the Civil War, the Igbo occupied most of the government offices because they had the number for the most educated. Then appointments into public offices were on merit, not the nepotism we see today.

Perhaps, Awolowo in a bid to catch up with the Igbo in education had to declare free education in the southwest.

Despite the several years of government-induced setbacks, the Igbo are again topping the ranks.

Surely the Igbo are undefeated.

I have never seen people who are so tribal and nepotic as the igbos but they are usually very fast in accusing other people of this same vices. We all know the truth of these stories, let’s move forward together and forget about the mistakes our elders did during their era after all they all contributed immensely to the development of the country within there capacity. We will also make our own mistakes now and our younger ones will have to correct them in other to move the country forward.

Those who will wish anything negative happen to Nigeria because their preferred candidate lost an election.
