Thanks baba..
A review of your posted list of documents are on point though I did observe that

1. A Letter of Sponsorship from your company is not listed and this letter needs to be signed by the director(s) or duly authorised signatory or signatories depending on the scale of the company (Limited or Public Limited Company) and should contain reasons why the company has chosen to sponsor you and expected benefits and the sum approved to support you for the duration of your programme if possible.

2. The tax clearance certificate where obtainable should be included as well to lend more credence and authenticity.

3. Try to include a breakdown of all personal income and company financial support in detailed form as well as all associated costs related to your programme of choice and use this information to also fill the appropriate section on the study permit form correctly.

All the best bruv.

Good morning house.

Please which is better of paper and online application for PGD..

A friend who aparently is consulting with maple said to me that he was told that paper application is better off specifically for PGD applicants..

Please any thots??

Thanks.
What you need to concentrate on is the inclusion of documents which best present your personal, academic progress, financial situation and home ties not which route to use. Even Maple clients get refused as well after supposedly choosing the best route for their clients so the theory propounded by Maple that some routes are more favourable for certain academic program level is bunkum and preposterous.
The vast majority of study permit applications are determined solely based on the documents you have included with your application, not the route used to submit the application. It is important to submit relevant genuine verifiable documents and to accept full responsibility for the outcome as well (approved or refused) and if you wish a lot of selfless people here will help sort and review your documents free of any charge which is what Maple do for an overpriced service charge, the decision is yours to make and goodluck with your application.

Good evening all. Pls does anyone know how much I will be asked to pay for the vfs service charge since I applied online and I have paid all necessary charges (online)already? Thanks for the quick response.
Online applicants are not required to pay any additional charges, but ensure you have your international passport (hard copy) + 2 photocopies and your biometrics instruction letter when you show up @ VFS for your biometrics.

Applicants can use the link below to open a case specific enquiry if their undecided application has been 8weeks or longer. I know the wait has not been easy but please exercise restraint and be courteous when making your enquiry.

The answer is YES nt NO since he/she has applied b4 and was refused. They have records !!! undecided
I perfectly understand why you would think the answer is yes but my post above explains it and his post was specifically referring to question 2c.

Can you shed more light on this please? Am wondering why he should say no when he has applied for trv before.
in the background section there are three questions

2a. the answer is no as i presume you have never stayed beyond your status validity if you have had a prior canada visa or never had one

2b. have you ever been refused a visa or permit, ordered to leave canada - the answer is yes as you have been refused a study permit before

2c. have you previously applied to enter or remain in Canada - The answer is no as you have never applied to enter Canada at any border post/port of entry nor applied from inside Canada to stay/remain in any category

I have decided to present my father's savings account and my father/mother's joint account in my reapplicaton, there's 13M and 11M in each of them, with good inflow and outflow. Should I present both or just one?

Also, I've decided to pay my entire one year worth of expenses before reapplying.
Nice. The Bank statements should be for a minimum of 6 months or more (no more 2-3 months SOA) to adequately communicate your parents finances. Remember what they'll like to know is if there is enough income to cover additional years not just the first, if you can try showing more sources of income as well in addition to both bank statements.

3years advance Diploma in Humber college.. Note I'm a graduate of mechanical engineering ... I have already gotten the admission before I know 3years is much more for me
some contributors and i have been like town criers in the market square saying repeatedly and advised applicants that if you know you have completed a 4-year degree program do not even touch an advanced diploma program (2 years or 3 years) with a pole even though some peeps have been fortunate to get approval for it, most VOs do not see it as academic progression from a BSc which when translated to CIC english means refusal for purpose of visit. So if you want to take that chance the decision is entirely yours to make. A postgraduate program or Masters + relevant documents will certainly increase your chances of success.

Gurus in the house, I'm a co-director of a company and my aunt the managing director; can I use the company as part of my personal asset?

Also can I use the company's letterhead to write my SOP?
A very plain A4 sheet of paper will suffice for the LOE / SOP oga and that is what it should be,no need to try so hard by using the company letterhead paper but do the following

include
CAC Certificate
Form CO2 (Share Allotment)
Form CO7 (particulars of directors)
Memorandum and articles of association (optional)
A formal letter of introduction stating position and salary(company letterhead)
A leave letter for study duration + possibly it should state that your salary would be paid partially or in full (company letter head)
Company tax clearance (optional)
Auditors report (if available but optional)
Note: the company tax clearance + auditors report lends credence and shows that it is a credible company not a start-up + company statement of account is most relevant if you are a signatory to the account.

I provided two schools you can review in an earlier post. it is best you have postgraduate admission in accounting in hand while you chase after a masters admission oo, there are no guarantees that you will be admitted in a masters program and it takes from a few weeks to months for a decision to be made except you have september 2016 in mind and have all the time in the world to wait, so you do not end up empty handed without an admission letter for January 2016.

I would advise against applying for that program considering your accounting background. Straight up refusal when you apply for your study permit due to purpose of visit, instead review both programs below and consider applying, if i find more i will get in touch.

You have 30 days from when you submit your online application to give your biometrics, so check your biometrics letter to confirm the last date or arrange for your passport to be sent to you in lagos through courier. Your application will not be processed until they've gotten your biometrics.

Hi been following ur thread and congrats to u.

My question..... Just submitted an online app and I immediately got a mail for the biometrics thingy..,,

Now I'm in lag tho I'm based in Abuja and my Pali is in Abuja can I go with a photo copy of the page for my bio in Lagos? I hope it wouldn't contradict

Thanks
It is mandatory to show up at VFS Office with the International Passport (Hard Copy) as well as two photocopies + Letter of instruction for biometrics. You will not be attended to with just the photocopies but the good news is that VFS has an office in Abuja where you can equally give your biometrics. the address is stated below

Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja
Silverbird Entertainment Centre.
Plot 1161, Memorial Drive,2nd Floor,
Central Business District, Abuja

While I initially considered this strategy, I realized that it could backfire significantly if the VO finds out that the sponsor is sponsoring my sister but didn't state it. I read on one of the CIC documents that the sponsor should state how many dependents he/she has, in which case it would reduce ambiguity to state the financial commitment to each dependent.
Correct me if I am wrong. if your sisters program is 1-year, I think that by effectively paying all tuition and living expenses for your sister in full, i really do not see her as a dependant of your brother anymore since all financial obligations have been met for the entire program + her personal savings as well.

Question for the house: my sister is starting her MSc program in January and she already got her TRV, while my brother is yet to apply for his TRV to start a PGD program in January as well. They have the same sponsor with sufficient funds.

Do you guys think it creates a bad impression that my brother is trying to go to Canada at the same time as my sister? I am paranoid that the VO may see it as a desperate attempt to go with my sister. Fyi their schools are 550km apart. Would it look better if he deferred his admission to May (but still apply for TRV in September)?

Abeg I need your opinion please @deedee0 @tnuola @Team12 @teesboy @HayqinsbFX @richcasey @berexio1 @SeraSera, @Graviton2 @TheBae @ayooluwatoni
I think with regards to the finance just do the school transfer and include all payment receipts so you do not have to try so hard explaining the lodgement in his domiciliary account but more importantly please ensure his program represents academic progression (Postgradute or Masters) and is closely related to his UG + a carefully worded sponsor's letter since this is Five Eye Country 2015 applicant number two. i wish him success in his application.

LOL. nah lemme explain.
Immigration law states dt u cant sponsor a foreign national as a spouse if u were sponsored by a spouse urself. and u must have waited 5 years after u bcm a PR bfr u sponsor. not that he was banned. he jst has to wait out the 5 year rule which expires next year.
now that its clearer, can i add his SOA to mine or its still not advisable?
Evidently his ban is not over yet so his SOA may or may not be an issue rather i will suggest if he can afford to he should pay your tuition only or plus accommodation, include the payment reciepts with your application so the need for his SOA is mitigated. Get a sponsor (not your husband) and be a co-sponsor with your job, payslips, personal SOA + assets etc i think you'll be okay.

Do this two things
1. check to ascertain that each file you are trying to upload has not exceeded 4MB as stipulated.
2. Switch your browser to Chrome or Firefox or Opera if you are presently using internet explorer for the upload.

I said Nigerians because we are Nigerians and their own quota in the bad act affected us

If their statistics shows Nigerians are most law abiding, I'm telling you we won't have as much problem as we have.

Either u agree or not is not the issue....
It is what it is.
I will start by saying the obvious, you have been very helpful in this thread and have received appreciation from others for it but you are not the first applicant to be refused a study permit on this thread but you are amongst the first to stoop so low as to start blaming other Nigerians especially those residing abroad for your refusal which is really quite sad and no one here claims to be a Visa Officer, rather what they do is draw upon personal experiences and similarities from prior applications and personal experiences in Nigeria and Canada in advising others but ultimately it is up to each applicant to decide what documents to include in his or her application and to bear full responsibility for the outcome of their application and this includes applicants who decide to delegate that responsibility to an agent as well, which brings me to my point, your assertion that other Nigerians through their actions or inactions is responsible for your refusal is patently false and misplaced. You are not a Visa Officer neither are you undergoing training to become one so the fact that you think you have submitted a perfect application will/does not automatically translate to an approval of your application from CIC Accra; therefore, if the professionals who are actually trained to do that particular job discern that you do not meet the requirements please accept that decision and make a new application after you think you have addressed the refusal reasons or you can decide to study elsewhere. CIC Accra does not hear your rant on Nairaland in-case no one has told you and even though you are chagrined by the refusal it is still absolutely not an excuse to start slandering your own fellow Nigerians just so you can lay blame at the feet of someone else which i consider as cheap shots, a blow below the belt and equally a slap in the face of a lot of people both home and abroad who take their time out of their busy activities to contribute to this thread even though they are not paid for it but out of a burning desire to help other applicants make a successful application and eventually be a success in Canada and for you to suggest and i quote "Personally I fully support the removal of work permit for students while they study if that will lessen their strong stance in issuing study visa" without consideration for others or their financial background but yourself quite frankly really shows how tainted your opinions have become.

standupguy:
I am inclined to agree with you but also note that advanced diplomas take 3yrs but for the fast track which is considered in most schools as a post graduate program takes 2yrs.
E.g the chemical production and power engineering program - accelerated at lambton college is listed as a post graduate program that offers advanced diploma on graduation. (2yrs).

Secondly why would schools create such discrepancies for CIC to take advantage of it?

I will be requesting for my file sha just to put this to rest at least.
We also need to clear it up so people don't fall into the trap.

If that be the case then I think anyone ready for an appeal would have a case.
switching to the Advance diploma thingy was what affected this application + the program was two years. If you had re-applied using the graduate certificate admission which is actually considered a postgraduate program your application would have been successful as you have sorted reasons for the previous refusals. Not all VO consider advance diploma as academic progression if you have a 4-year BSc already, though some peeps get approval with it ,i will not advise anyone to apply with an advance diploma for their study permit. A one year postgraduate certificate or Masters would have been better.

Just so you know if you make an enquiry with regards to your application to Lagos you will be advised to contact CIC Accra Office and that says all you need to know. However, I think CIC Lagos works in tandem with CIC Accra to handle document verification of study applications from Nigeria if need be which might explain the call you got. Alright cheers and a successful application.

I disagree, especially at the person who said all applications are processed in Ghana.

I also have CALA in my tracking number and the text I got says my application has been sent to the canadian visa office Lagos.

I got a call from them recently to confirm some info in the application and it was from a Lagos landline and I googled to confirm it was real and the address that comes with that landline is their Lagos office. So yea some applications are actually processed in Lagos or so I think.

I'm still yet to get a medical call up tho. Submitted online 30th of June. Fingers crossed.
No offence but I think you did not read my post very well and you are replying the wrong person.
1. What I have said consistently is that all study permit applications are processed in Ghana (Online & Paper) which is true, until such a time CIC says otherwise. I have never said all Categories of application are processed in Ghana.
2. When I replied @Thebae that CALA was online route and GHAN being paper route I was refering specifically to study permit applications only.
I will encourage you to please read posts very well and reply the appropriate nairaland moniker that you agree or disagree with.

sending two e-mails each day all through the week to even a business is frowned upon and not professional or helpful bruv. You could have just sent one e-mail and then wait for a response or if your application is more than eight weeks and you are impatient, a case specific enquiry will be more appropriate. Resumption is close but still you have to try to be calm.
