Politics / Re: Garba Shehu: Twitter Suspension Has Reduced Spread Of Fake News By PDP Governors by tegafej(m): 9:17am On Jun 17, 2021

I dont think they are scared of giving up power, they are just scared that the country will become a full Somalia under their reign.

If things are unchecked, we will not have a country after 2023, everyone knows that social media needs to be regulated in Nigeria, but we fail to admit it cos of our hatred for Buhari

This is the lie you tell yourself... If government does well, it is the same social media that would spread the goodnews. Is not the same social that trends Seyi Makinde, the borno state governor and the rest when they do good?

No matter how you try to justify it... It is wrong to gag free speech. Cos with this logic, soon enough the government may have to ban free speech even through traditional means of communications because in quote, it affects national unity.

The ones I pity most are the influencers that where paid to promote APC government on twitter.... Now they are all jobless. Indeed what goes around comes around

long live the president.

how come the helicopter did not crash.

young people should understand this president very well. he means well for us all.

he might show special preference for his own people, fine and good. human being are like that, we are sentimental creatures.

95% of osibanjos aides are yoruba.

let us just support him and bid him farewell.

leadership is not easy, ordinary chairman of lay readers wanted to blind me because I asked him some questions.

half of those idiots who condemn football players on screen will fumble with the ball in real life.

I must not always be intimidated by the majority to join the madness.

that was how you were condemning Jonathan, now you call him a saint

You will call buhari a saint after his tenure.

For my Igbo brothers. Greed is a powerful force to unite enemies to work together. but in our own case, greed has worked against us. Igbos are not United. if dangote was an Igbo man, so many shareholders will be killed overnight. that is why Igbos don't do partnership.

Put your house in order first, chase political power too and all other things shall be added unto you. Igbos alone have a net worth of 20 billion dollars. use the power

How is he one of the people that killed it? As for me, it's Governors that killed the LG

More power needs to be giving to the LGAs.

Is he not the one overseeing the Nigerian state?

It's his responsibility to make it work.

If LGA is dead... He should pressure governors to wake it up.

Instead he is talking like an opposition.

Question is who ordained him for ministry and when and where was he ordained?

Question is did God not call us all to Ministry in his word?

So does it mean that without having a spiritual father one can't become a man of God?

Politics / Re: Nigerians Opt For Vpns Following Twitter Ban by tegafej(m): 9:43am On Jun 05, 2021
meobizy:
This is why Nairalanders are very foolish. VPN or not, the damage is done already. I don't know anyone who'll remain in a platform of a few hundred users. The fun many Twitter users get is the engagement from like minds. If the original Nigerian population there was two million only for the ban to reduce the number to six thousand, I surely believe those few thousands will pack up in less than two months. Nigerians hate being alone or being a minority. I don't have a Twitter account but can see myself not opening my computer to the many risks of employing a VPN. I'll jump to other platforms instead.

You are off point.

The numbers will grow more over the coming months. A lot of pips will get VPN and enjoy the Twitter cruise...

So chill... We can't be gagged!

But it's nothing when they shot an unarmed civilian cos we civilians don't count.

Crazy folks... They can kill themselves if they want. Was it not a customs officer that once shot a civilian over 5K sometimes ago?

The media is making the matter worst......

Just read the content and observe the clear disparity with the headline

2years is not too far again,

Its actually a year, because 2022, 2nd quarter will be pre-occupied by campaign activities that Nigerians will now face the possible in coming president.

Buhari has done his best though he came in almost at the worst period in Nigeria situation, a condition that could have been easily solved if there was saving by the previous govt, same situation that save Nigerians during the 2008 global economic meltdown, Yar'adua only went into the high reserve OBJ left for him and brought out money to cushion the suffering that was about to befall Nigerians then......

Reverse became the case with GEJ as he instead of saving, depleted the ones left for him.........

Never again shall we have Clueless and current a Nepotism promoting leader in Nigeria

But has balance political appointments ever favoured the poor masses?

My brother, you are not the only one in this phase. I am currently freelancing and it's not stable. I will advise my fellow 2016 graduates to lean more to God and make him your source otherwise you might end up being depressed and the end product might just be suicide which is not the solution. If you have learned a skill, put it into good use and be the best at it

You see the God factor? A lot of pips are underating it.

That's what liberated me.

Funny enough, as I started giving, my finances exploded. Right now, I'm very selective with jobs.

I was supposed to earn 45k as a marketing executive for my first post NYSC job early 2018 but transport got so expensive that I quited the job middle of the month.
I have earned 15k, 30k and 35k as a teacher but I never did only teaching all those periods.

Thank God for covid19 wahala last year, it was one of the motivating factors alongside my ex-gf shortsightedness, they are few of the things that pushed me to quit teaching job for my personal business, and since then I am always grateful to God.

Although, there are challenges(new startup business challenge etc) but I'm way better than I was those years.

OP, just decide on what you want and start making moves towards it.

I can relate to your story
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: 2016 And 2017 Graduates How Have You Been Coping? by tegafej(m): 10:08am On May 26, 2021
Lemme share my story... It may help.

I graduated in 2016, served 2017 and there life started. I hustled a teaching job of 40K and home lessons of about 45K per month. During this period of about 9 monhts, I saved up about 300K or so and started my MSc in UniPORT.

Cos I knew I had no family funding for the programme, I went all out hustling. I taught my course mate courses and assisted them with their assignments for cash. I made sure I came out as the best so I can sell my sell to them so that they would know my capacity for referral.

I built my research skills that helped me open a consulting firm after finishing the programme. It started small but we are making tremendous progress.

Most importantly, I started taking God seriously. I changed church to Winners chapel followed the teachings and started giving and sowing recklessly.

Things turned out so amazing that I send money home to support them and live comfortably well.

I'm literally earning projected annual earnings in a Month currently.

It's been God all the way.

Lesson:

Put in work... Look an opportunity to provide paid service and stop focusing on job hunting.

Get serious with God and sow seeds like mad. It work bro!

All the best!

Oga park well. Have you introduced her to your parents? Has she done same? Have you done proper ceremonial introduction? Have you married her? Probably NO with a capital letter.

I am tired of all these endless lamentations on Nairaland from kids all the time. You are yet to put a ring on her finger and you do not want someone else who is serious and ready to wed her? At 27 you want her to waste her time with your sorry and unserious ass in a relationship of boyfriend and girlfriend that will probably not lead to marriage?

I will advise your girlfriend to dump your sorry ass and get on with a serious and ready man.

Lol...

What goes around comes around...

When a guy dumps the sorry ass of a girl for whatsoever reason, I hope the energy will be the same.
