It is a PhD admission interview in Communication. It is an online interview that will likely feature three persons in the panel. The interview is scheduled for tomorrow. I have a bachelors and masters degree and I am married with three children. Would be so grateful if you can tell me what the transcript will look like. Thank you.

You do not need someone who have done a PhD F1 visa interview before and if at all you will need such person , then he or she has to be the person who is in the exact same situation like you . That was why all the videos and tips you got online did not satisfy you naturally because your instinct told you that you are still not getting what you want .

1. If you are going for PhD in Biochemistry and you are studying the transcripts of someone who got government scholarship to study PhD in Educational Psychology do you think that transcripts will work for you ?

2. If you tell me your present situation ie , program of study , your Alma Mata (Bsc and MSc ) , post graduation plans, family situations etc , then i can be able to handle your mock (possible questions and answers) trainings .

Please, how do I respond to this part of the graduate application form? I do not have funds and I have dependents. If I respond in the positive, and provide a bank statement, does it affect my chances of getting a graduate assistantship? It is for a PHD admission in communication for Spring term. Please urgent response is required.

The information below is required to issue an I-20. If you answer "yes" to any of the first five questions you will not be required to fill out the financial affidavit form or provide a bank document. If you have funds or dependents, filling out the financial affidavit form and providing a bank document is required.

Hello house, please I need some kind of assistance with my application process. To start with I am applying for a PhD in Mass Communication or Communication Arts/Studies. Can someone share a list of schools that I can apply to for fall 2023 with full funding.

Also, can I use a statement of result in place of transcript. Unilag is unable to give me a student copy of my Masters transcript because of my matric year (2008). They asked that I present a school that it will be sent to and I do not have one for now. The next option is the statement which contains basically same thing. I have a copy of my undergraduate transcript though.

Lastly, is it possible to get a kind of hand holding service through the application and visa process? My target is still fall 2023. Thank you.

I have a very bad experience with NIPOST too and I plan reporting to a media house to investigate their activities. My sister sent me two phones from America. We tracked the phones and it indicated that it had reached the country. We went to NIPOST and they also tracked and started giving stories. My sister went back to their post office in America and they showed her on their system that the phone got to Nigeria three days after. We went back to NIPOST at Obalende, they directed us to Marina, Marina said we should come back that their is a mix up. We kept going back. Till today nothing. But when we check the system with the tracking number, it indicates received.

Thank you so much for your prompt response. I just feel broken because I've been on this since last year July. I work in consulting presently but i really want to be a lecturer and I feel time is really flying. How do I even start? When is the earliest opportunity that I can commence a post graduate degree in the US after this fall season? Is December possible or my next opportunity is Spring? Please which schools can I apply to that I can get full funding of any kind in their Communications or Creative Writing Department. My first degree is in Communication Arts. For Bank statement, my husband and I will commence working on beefing it up.

Sorry about the manipulations of the agent.

But keep this in mind, you cannot go to the US with kids without having a very STRONG financial support.

Infact, even with Full Funding, the VO still wants to know what your husband does and how he will support the kids because full funding is meant for the student not the family.

I don't know what the agents have told you. . but I advice you to wait and get it right as you've said.

Dear Nairalanders,

Please I need your help with regards to directions for my F1 visa application for a post graduate degree. Because, I am a novice in this area, I went through an agent and paid a large amount of money. But I have suffered untold delays in the hands of the agent coupled with a shoddy handling of the admission process. It is a tale for another day. Presently, I have admission for fall 2019 for University of Akron Ohio - MA Communication and Media Studies. Yet to get my i20 and I've been told to pay for visa fees to beat time. What chances do I have seeing that I couldn't get funding of any kind? My undergraduate CGPA is 3.88 and I got 92 in TOEFL. There's not much to my bank statement except I'm able to get a sponsor which I am trying to before time. I am female, married,in my early forties. I have two children who I want to travel with. I am prepared to start the process all over again to ensure I get it right. Please advice me. Thank you and God bless.

Seriously i'm at a loss of what to type. Nairalanders, the pain has never left my heart watching my mum cry so many years ago because my dad decided to pick wife no 2 cos she was already pregnant. I wasn't even even up to ten then and now i'm in my early thirties and yet each time i remember it, i start sobbing afresh. The disaster that single decision brought on the family cannot be quantified.

I woke up one day in the middle of the night. Switched on my TV set and heard something like,
I have a house in Lekki and a Gucci wrist watch
ahh too much money.
The following weekend when my sista from uni came home, asked her who sang the song and she said Da Grin. The song has since been replaying in my mind and suddenly the singer is dead? May his soul rest in peace.

Nairaland has really changed my life. I got my job thru reading info on nairaland jobs forum. I get a lot of information and entertainment on nairaland. I often laugh alone while reading threads on nairaland. As a matter of fact the laptop i'm using to browse now was one of the first things i bought through the job i got via nairaland. Nairaland is in fact a world on its own.

My name is Biodun, a female. I want all Nairalanders to praise the Almighty God with me cos i got a job thru nairaland. All the while i had searched for a job to no avail untill i read a posting on Nairaland about a certain Telecomms company recruiting fresh graduates. Needless to say, i gatecrashed the test venue and the rest is now history. I am happilly employed and the job leaves room for me to pursue other career enhancing academic qualifications.
