There was once an app called Opera Max which performs similar functions but mysteriously stopped by its developers. Now, Google has announced an app targeted at helping you to track, control and save mobile data called Datally. Datally tracks real-time mobile data usage for individual apps, and also the overall usage through hourly, daily, weekly and monthly stats. How Datally Works Understand your data. See your usage on a hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis and get personalized recommendations for how you can save more. Control your data. Turn on the Data Saver bubble to block background data usage and track real-time data usage while using each of your apps—it’s like a speedometer for your data. You can also block data with one tap if an app’s data usage gets out of control. Save your data. Sometimes you just need a little more than what you’ve got on your data plan. Datally will tell you if you’re near public Wi-Fi and help you connect. Once you’re done, don’t forget to rate the network quality to help other users. Recently, BlackBerry first released its all-Black Edition KEYone - Android powered smartphone- in India. The “Black Edition” has 4GB 64GB according to this source. That was before we found out the Black KEYone was arriving globally to all markets. Yesterday, BlackBerry released a short clip to showing the device which was all black in color working with Android Auto. Remember that any Android smartphone with Android 5.0 and up is compatible with an Android Auto-compatible receiver. The video didn’t give any latest detail aside what we already know – device coming in Silver and Black Editions, the added RAM (4GB) and generous 64GB of storage. Then the artiste drove off before he took a call using Android Auto. Watch the video below: http://www.tellforceblog.com/2017/09/video-checkout-android-auto-on.html

BBM Users at CrackBerry’s forums have been complaining of their inability to switch their BBM account back to old BlackBerry devices running BlackBerry’s operating systems. The problem experienced is that the server does not allow them access contacts, groups, and channels after trying to switch back to a BlackBerry OS device. In case if you are still the type that hop around between BlackBerry OS devices, however, if you jump from a BlackBerry device to an Android-powered BlackBerry (or otherwise), iOS, or Windows device, you will not unable to successfully access BBM on a legacy BlackBerry device. ”We have recently completed changes that prevent users from switching their accounts from an Android, iOS, or Microsoft device to a BlackBerry 10 or BlackBerry OS device. Also, in addition, BBM Enterprise users will no longer be able to switch their BBM Enterprise account to a BBM consumer account on an Android, iOS, or Microsoft device.” - BBM Product Management. According to CrackBerry the problem of BBM getting “stuck” on latest platforms arises from BlackBerry handing over the consumer BBM service to Emtek. Therefore, if you still have BBM on an old legacy BlackBerry device, it’s suggested that you don’t move your BBM account, but instead create a new one when swapping to the newer platforms and leave your original account on the BlackBerry phone. http://www.tellforceblog.com/2017/09/you-are-no-longer-allowed-to-switch.html

The M6 Note is Meizu's high-end smartphone that's somewhat less powerful than the company's flagships, Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus. Meizu has just unveiled the phablet today, August 23. The only issue is that it’s launched has quietly been murdered by the highly-anticipated Galaxy Note 8, a great mistake by Meizu. In any case, Meizu M6 Note is a device that's probably worth keeping an eye on since the Chinese company announces major changes for its M-series. The smartphone Meizu M6 Note sports a large 5.5-inch display with full HD (1080p) resolution, as well as either 32GB ROM and 3GB RAM or 64GB ROM and 4GB RAM. After so much anticipation Google today has finally unveiled the moniker of the next name of Android OS. It has been called "Android O" for the past few months while a few Developer Previews and public betas were released, it has now been officially named as Android 8.0 Oreo. Of course, the most speculated name truly turned out to be what Google chose to name its newest baby. It's only the second time in the OS history when there's a commercial partnership involved - for version 4.4 KitKat Google teamed up with Nestle (which owns that brand), and this time around the Google worked with Mondelez to ensure the name entered the moving tech train. Android 8.0 Oreo's code will be uploaded by Google engineers to the Android Open Source Project today, while software updates for the supported Nexus and Pixel devices are due to arrive "soon". Of course the final build will be sent to those devices enrolled in the Android Beta Program too. Google also says that by the end of the year you should expect devices from Essential, General Mobile, HMD Global, Huawei, HTC, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, Samsung, Sharp, and Sony to either launch with or be upgraded to Android Oreo. The latest version of Android comes with picture-in-picture support, notification dots, fully redesigned emoji (including over 60 new ones), Google Play Protect built-in, limits to background overuse of battery by apps, faster boot speeds, autofill system-wide, and support for Android Instant Apps. http:///2x7f3hk

Keep this under speculations since the information comes from an unidentified source, but it appears like Google won't be launching any Oreo cookie today. The tech giant has decided to launch its next version of Android on solar eclipse day. A Google teaser with the file name GoogleOreo_Teaser_0817_noDroids (1).mp4 was briefly available on G+, talking about Android O's market name. Well, with few hours left until the official reveal, a new rumor points to a completely different naming for the Android O. Cliff Wade, customer support manager for Nova Launcher, claims the name of Google's next iterative mobile platform will be Android 8.0 Orellete. He claims the information comes from a source who wants to remain anonymous, but he does seem certain that Google will not name its new OS Android Oreo, as previously suggested by numerous leaks. Orellete is a type of sweet Catalan pastries that are usually served at weddings. It's unclear why would Google choose this name over the Oreo , but it might have something to do with the company that produces the popular cookies. http://www.tellforceblog.com/2017/08/android-80-orellete-no-longer-oreo-set.html

Virtually all Facebook's attempt to be like Snapchat has failed. Recently, the social media titan killed Lifestage, an app intended to get the attention of Snapchat-obssessed teenagers. If you are hearing tge word Lifestage today, there’s nothing to be ashamed of. You are not alone, there are a lot of people that never knew about the app either. This is actaully due to the fact that only aged 21 or younger users could sign up for it in the first place. Lifestage was intended to help teenagers find and connect with other students in their school. Instead of direct messaging, high schoolers were supposed o use the app to share selfies and videos that all of their classmates and schoolmates could watch. Now, the app was so focused on getting to teenagers in high school that it prevented anyone over 21 from joining a school o looking up other accounts. However, anyone could just fake their age and gain access. Obviously, this raised privacy concerns. It’s not so surprising that the app never caught on among teenagers either. Meanwhile, the app was pulled from the Apple App Store on August 4 , and it took a while before anyone noticed that it was gone. Furthermore, an Android version was never released. On top of that, Lifestage was last updated in October 2016. Clearly, Facebook was not willing to continue pursuing this project when it failed so hard to garner any sort of attention. According to Business Insider, a Facebook spokesperson made a comment concerning the issue, said; “We originally launched Lifestage to make it easier for teens in the US to connect with others at their school by creating a video profile with content for all of things that make up their identity. Teens continue to make up an important part of the global community on Facebook, and we have learned a lot from Lifestage. We will continue to incorporate these learnings into features in the main Facebook app.” http://www.tellforceblog.com/2017/08/facebook-finally-shuts-down-lifestage.html

Recall that last year, MTN introduced two call tariff plans, the MTN Xtra Pro amd Xtra Special tariff plan. MTN Xtra Pro tariff plan was touted the cheapest call tariff plan on the network. Subscribers on MTN Xtra Pro have the ability to make both off-net and on-net calls within the country at a flat rate of 11K/S (N6.60K/Min) upon successful deduction of N5 deduction in a day, also called access charge. Thus makes the MTN Xtra Pro the cheapest call tariff plan on the network. Unfortunately, MTN secretly eliminated this call tariff plan from its list of tariff plans, which by implication means the call tariff plan will no longer available for migration, in case you are still interested. According a source from the company, the migration into MTN XtraPro and MTN TruTalk has been discontinued since April 5, 2017. Customers can only migrate into the following plans: MTN Pulse MTN XtraSpecial MTN BetaTalk MTN XtraValue MTN customers will NO LONGER be able to migrate to any of the below tariff plans, BUT customers on these plans will be able to migrate out of these plans to other available tariff plans. MTN TruTalk (Old) MTN BetaTalk(Old) MTN SuperSaver MTN SmoothTalk MTN iPulse MTN Zone However, customers who are currently on any of these MTN Tariff plans above will remain on the plan but will not be allowed to migrate back into the plan(s) after successfully migrating out. Before April 5, 2017, the code for migration into the MTN Xtra Pro tariff plan was *401#, but currently, if you choose to dial the code and hoping to go back to the Xtrs Pro plan, you will get a prompt telling you that you are already existing MTN Pulse tariff plan, as well as giving you the correct MTN Pulse menu code which is *406#. http://www.tellforceblog.com/2017/08/mtn-secretly-reviewed-its-tariff-plans.html

The official name of Google's forthcoming Android operating system (presently referred to as O) will be officially announced on August 21 this year. The info springs up courtesy of Android Police's David Ruddock, who quoted a source whose info, he claimed, he cannot confirm. His tweets suggest Ruddock knows the name, but doesn't want to kill the game. He also disclosed that the Mountain View, California-based business is planning a spectacle surrounding the reveal. Now, recall that August 21 is a total solar eclipse day (at-least in the US, where such astronomical event was last seen around a century ago), it's pretty conceivable that Google is planning something spectacular this time around. A solar eclipse day for the revelation of the official name could also be a solid hint of what the name could be. Any presumptions? If no? Ok, let me assist you: think of what happens during a solar eclipse. This, right? And here's what Android O could be called: http://www.tellforceblog.com/2017/08/official-name-for-android-o-may-be.html
