MTN Nigeria has continued with the overhauling of its data plans. It would be recalled that Tellforceblog reported that MTN increased its Data Bundle which it tagged “MTN Revamp Data Plan”.
Data Revamp Update: MTN Introduces 5 GB Data plans and Updates 1.5 GB and 3.5 GB
Though the revamping only took place in just about three plans – 50MB for ₦100 and 150MB for ₦200 (both valid for 24 hours) which were before now 30MB and 150MB respectively. Then the re-introduction of 150MB for ₦300, valid for 7 days.

The revamping appears to continue as MTN introduces a new data plan - 5GB for ₦3,500 valid for 30 days, as well as revamping the below data bundles, effective July 19, 2017.

Last month, Google promised to introduce its YouTube TV service to 10 more markets in the coming weeks.

Now after four weeks of Google's announcement of its YouTube TV, it's live in 10 more markets across the United States: Dallas-Fort Worth, Washington, D.C., Houston, Atlanta, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne and Charlotte.

A woman has been apprehended while making an attempt to smuggle 102 iPhones from Hong Kong to mainland China. The report said, she strapped them to her torso and tried hiding them with extra sheets of clothing.

The suspected smuggler tried crossing the border on June 30, around 8:00 PM. According to the customs officers that apprehended her, the weather was scorching, yet the woman was putting on a knitted sweater on top of her t-shirt. Moreover, her arms and legs seen to be relatively slim, but her upper body was strangely wide. This made customs officials to direct her the metal detector, upon passing through the security system, the alarm triggered.

The woman was then searched, only to discovered nothing less than 102 iPhones and 15 luxury Tissot watches strapped to her torso. The total weight of all the rustled goods was 40 pounds.

The customs officers were astonished to have discovered so many smartphones strapped to the woman's body and said that this is the most they've ever witnessed. The effort is even more striking, wondering how the woman succeeded in adding a little extra with the Tissot watches.

This isn't the first attempt to smuggle iPhones from Hong Kong to mainland China. Reason is that Apple's handsets are less expensive in Hong Kong compared to the mainland China and a lot of money could easily be made if they are not caught. Way back in January, a man was apprehended for smuggling 94 of Apple's devices, taped to his body in a similar manner. No information on how many smugglers escapes every year.

MTN has updated its data bundle plans. MTN Nigeria has different types of data plans which includes Daily, Weekly, Monthly, 2-Months and 3-Months data bundle plans.

Nokia recently goofed following its rebranding of the Withings Health Mate app and releasing an updated version that made its users became seriously irate. The first release of the Nokia Health Mate app was so full of bugs to an extent that, it makes the users start calling for the older version of the app.

Earlier this week, the Finnish company acknowledged that the application was a bit rubbish and assured to release an update that would fix all the bugs and syncing issues upsetting users of Withings products.

Keeping to its promise, Nokia has released a new update for its Health Mate app today. The newly updated Nokia Health Mate app is now available to install from Play Store.

Twitter has announced that its mobile apps are now better than ever before when in terms of securing yourself from online abuse and harassment.

A new set of notification filters has now been made available for Twitter users both on Android and iOS, which will enables them to mute accounts considered trolls.

Before the latest latest addition, you were be able to mute any Twitter account that you deem necessary. Starting from yesterday, July 10, Twitter users will be allowed to disable notifications from the following types of accounts using the new options in the advanced filter settings:

Accounts that are new (that you don’t follow);
Accounts that don’t follow you (that you don’t follow);
Accounts you don’t follow;
Accounts with a default profile photo (that you don’t follow);
Accounts without a confirmed email address (that you don’t follow);
Accounts without a confirmed phone number (that you don’t follow).

However, these does not prevents trolls from posting their tweets, at least user who makes use of the newly added filters won't be notified when they are published on Twitter.

Recall that when Nokia bought the health tech company Withings last year, it was immediately rebranded as Nokia Health. This involved hardware and software.

Now, unpleasant reviews from users have been trailing the new app in the app stores. Some of the bad reviews says some features they used were missing and there were technical issues with the software.

One told the BBC that “Nokia took over and totally trashed the Withings app in one swoop.

“The first release of the app was so full of bugs it was incredible. Their new app is appalling and everyone wants the old one back, which we loved.

“They've decimated our investment in quite expensive Withings products.”

Some of the main concerns handlers have with the new app include problem encountered with synchronization between Withings hardware and the app. Frustrations occurs with the bugs in the software during use, a new theme that makes the app less user-friendly, and the eliminations of features that were present in the old Withings app.

Nokia responded to BBC, saying: “Regrettably, a few users faced bugs and syncing issues, others were frustrated to find some features from the previous version were not included,” Nokia said for the BBC.

“We released an update which corrects many of the issues. Very soon we will have another update to integrate the few missing features.”

It seems in spite of the bad reception of the new software, Nokia is working on how to make things right. But, a lot of users depends on the data from the Withings ecosystem, so Nokia will need to act work on this sooner than later, so as to avert permanent damage to its Nokia Health brand.

The Finnish Company said, “We will not be satisfied until the final issues have been addressed to deliver the quality user experience consumers have come to expect from Nokia products.”

The Finnish company HMD Global is on the verge of making its new Nokia branded smartphones available globally.

Are you an MTN Nigeria Customer and you want to roam in the United States with your MTN line? Below are the requirements and procedures to take before roaming.

First of all, roaming MUST be on AT&T network provider. You can manually search for the network if your phone failed to automatically register the network.

Secondly, your device must be either be on 3G or 4G as 2G network no longer exist.
Your phone must have network frequency of 1700/2100 MHz, because that is what AT&T network uses.

It is recommended that you use a single sim phone to roam. But in the event you want to use you dual SIM phone, ensure you enable your MTN sim for data service on 3G/4G mode.

Note: As recommended in the above, if your MTN SIM is on 3G/4G mode, in most devices, the second slot will automatically be on 2G, hence cannot work on AT&T network.
