I want to express my gratitude to everyone for their contributions. I visited the Alausa Passport office for my passport renewal today and would like to share my experience.

Upon arrival, I was directed to the servicom hall for the DIY team, where a helpful staff (lady) reviewed my documents.

She instructed me to obtain a brown file, rewrite my renewal application on A4 paper, and make a photocopy of the last page of my passport (not just the data page). After swiftly completing these tasks, she cross-checked my documents, added my two recent passport photos, and handed me the file to take to room 12.

In room 12, a meticulous lady thoroughly examined my application letter, verifying details such as the passport number, expiry date, and my signature within the letter. She then signed and dated it.

Returning to the previous staff member, she double-checked the work from room 12 and made some notations on my file. I was then directed to another area for passport capturing, a process that took less than 30 minutes.

The entire experience was remarkably efficient, taking less than an hour in total.

Documents required for renewal:

- Brown file (available for ₦500 on-site)
- Copy of the online passport application form
- Copy of the payment receipt
- Copy of the acknowledgement slip
- The passport you wish to renew
- Copy of both the data page and the last page of the expired passport
- Two recent color passport photographs
- Copy of your NIN slip
- Application letter written on A4 paper.

That process is different as I learnt. I think that will be in Abuja, it is renew with change of name. @ekitimanalways can help with more details.

You conducted a test without the person prior notice or permission, do you know the implications of what you did? Do you know you might also give the person a wrong information for what you have done. Anyway since you already discover with the sample you have with you, just advise and suggest to him to do proper check up at the hospital.

Earlier this year I met this guy and we became friends. He started visiting my apartment because him and his friends just moved into my compound. But I noticed that although he looks athletic, well built and physically fit but he's very sexually active, swinging both ways.

What does her mother have on her NIN details before now ranging from the name, dob, etc.
Usually what you have on the NIN is what you fill on NIS portal for passport issuance.

I want to ask, my friend is making application for his mother but there was a mistake he made when he's doing his own application, like, when they asked about his mother name and date of birth, he made mistake with name and date of birth of his mother.
The date of birth is 1970 but he filled 1965 while the name is *TAIWO AGEEbut he filled BASIRAT AGEE
Although the mother bear the same name but on birth certificate is TAIWO AGEE.

is it going to have any implications on her visa application .

No, it depends on where you go to for that NIN stuff. But, during her days there is no npc records that is why your are going for the court stuff. But if I may ask you what application was filled with by the son?

Yes, it is better she correct everything on the NIN and use a sworn affidavit for her dob since she not the 1993 sets. The cost of doing all this is not much since it is a fresh passport.

She had issue with her name and date of birth but she has never apply international passport before.

How can we go about it and what are the process and the fees?

I was captured on the 16th of August at Alausa PP officer, my passport says Passport Issued which means it is ready for collection, is that correct?

It is usually #250 max #500 if your guarantor show face. But you know naija now, if you insist that guarantor is busy or far away expect them to charge you 2k max 3k. Don't do with road side people and if you must still between that 2k to 3k insist they get the receipt for the payment for you. Speak like you know the process but the condition has limit you.

I went there today I was told I can not get the notary stamp on the guarantors form without the guarantor...

Captured on the 12th of April. Finally was able to pick my passport today at alausa. For anyone who did same, you probably want to go check now

You know what anytime you filling this form online, anything that needs to be download, just download it once don't wait and think you come back to it.
I think it is not written acknowledgement slip. But they and check if what you have is up to 4 pages aside the guarantor form.

A copy of the acknowledgement slip should have been sent to the email which you provided during application. Check your email box.

Get the guarantor's form signed by the Commissioner of Oaths at any of the High Courts and Magistrate courts in Nigeria.

May I add, Alausa Passport Office, Ikeja is DIY friendly, unlike Festac Passport Office. I wish all the best.

Don't use the roadside but if you must, tell them you need the receipt. It is #250/ #500 inside the court but expect the unexpected.

Appointment date : 16/08

On the appointment slip under instructions, I saw the following:

1) A copy of NIN slip

2) Letter of identification from LG or state of origin or national identification card.

My questions are :

1) What is the difference between NIN slip and national identity card?

2) At sagamu center is there court near by, were I can stamp and sign my guarantor form?

But sir someone said that even if you have a registration of birth NIS doesn't take it for people born from 1900 something till 1990 someone needs the declaration of age from the court and gets it stamped. That the one that is accepted is the NPC green version Birth Certificate for people born from 1991 till date. Can you confirm this?

The birth certificate (REGISTRATION OF A BIRTH) you attached to your message is accepted by the Nigeria Immigration Service for passport application since you were born before 1992.

It then means that NIS will put me for capturing themselves or is it the other way round? Will like to get the breakdown(process and directions) for us that is DIY. Thank you

I went for my screening today it was fast and swift but one thing I noticed is that you can do your screening in any Local Govt because a lady came for screening today and her Local Govt and State (Ogun) was totally different from mine ( Lagos) and she was attended too, so that means you can you be screened in any Local Govt…..
