I think Udom Emmanuel is the change and new breed needed in Akwa Ibom state keeping party affiliations aside. He was also ssg, and given his experience rising to the top of his career with zenith bank, he has what it takes to move the state forward.
Umana umana is part of the old cabaI...his seeking of the governorship office made him decamp.
I think the only error Akpabio did was to give his zone the deputy governorship slot after doing 8 years. He should have given it to Uyo senatorial district.
But I am positive Udom will win nevertheless.
The issue of APC at the federal level shouldn't be a problem. Governors should be wise enough to be diplomatic so as to curry favour to their States, no matter the party affiliation |

Jokes Etc › Surprising Move - President Buhari Drops Osinbanjo, Picks Goodluckjohnathan by tempest01(op): 12:53am On Apr 01, 2015 |
In what comes as a surprising move, buhari has dropped his running mate in the just concluded presidential elections, and guess who he had to pick?
The incumbent president Goodluck Johnathan.
This comes as a surprising move to all, and GEJ is expected to decamp to the APC within the coming days to show his acceptance. This will be the first time in history a president of a country becomes a vice president after his stinct as president if GEJ accepts the offer.
There was lots of tension in the APC and PDP camps when BuharI put the offer to Johnathan. The PDP believes that Jonathan led them to destruction, and as captain of the ship, leaving the ship to destruction at this delicate time will be selfish of him, and he should decline the offer immediately. A PDP chieftain who spoke to FNN said it would be callous, selfish, and disrespectful for Jonathan to accept the offer to be vice president and subsequently decamp to the APC.
In the APC camp, the members of the former Action Congress of Nigeria ( ACN) have threatened fire and brimstone should Buhari go ahead and replace Osinbanjo with Johnathan. An APC chieftain and Founding father Bola Tinubu said it is totally unacceptable for such action after all the finances and resources but in by individuals to achieve success, then a decision is taken out of the blues to deviate.
Our correspondent had a chance meeting with GE J and asked about the offer and his stand, and he replied:
"When I called Buhari to congratulate him on his election, he made the offer which took me unawares. He asked for an answer, I told him to give me time to think about it.... Right now I think I've made my mind up. Given that I have to complete my transformation agenda, and given this opportunity to serve Nigerians again,

Burlah4u2c: what op is trying to say is 1. buhari will get less than 25% vote in those 11 states should he get less than 25% in one more state of the remaining 25 state, the election will be re_runned. speculations has it that he got more than 25% in all SW state.. buhari on the norm will get more than 25% of votes in each Northern state.. if that is that and he wins by number overall, change is here. Please help school missy89....seems shes programmed to attack mode |

medamillion: Going by your analysis, you mean Buhari will have less than 25% votes here? Bauchi Benue Borno Edo Ekiti Gombe Jigawa Kaduna Kano Kogi Kwara Lagos Nasarawa Niger Ogun Ondo Osun Oyo Plateau Sokoto Taraba Yobe Zamfara FCT Kastina Yes, those are possible states where he can have more than 25%. If he doesnt in any of those, there will be a re-run. That is if he happens to have less than 25% in the states i predicted |

Shymexx1: Lol. Ol'boy developed dementia and amnesia overnight. Don't blame him - knockout punches do damage the brain.
Remember when Hasim Rahman knocked Lennox Lewis the fvck out in South Africa. And during the post-bout conference, Lennox Lewis didn't even remember he was knocked the fvck out, hence he lost the fight.
Isn't it 36 states + FCT: 19 Northern states, 6 SW states, 6 SS states, and 5 SE states?
So, if he can get 25% in the 19 Northern states and 6 SW states + FCT - that should be sufficient.
Those SE/SS states don't even carry enough votes, anyway. go through my post again before posting crab |

Mynd44: The NW, NE and NC is 19 states. Do you believe Buhari would have less than 30% in any of the Northern states?
He already has 25% in all 6 states of the SW. He is winning 5 of them only lost Ekiti but he still had 40% there I just listed states he might not get up to 25% required. There is still a high possibility of him winning the elections with the required numbers. From my analysis, i think GEJ has a better chance of making the 25%...but it is left to him to have majority vote |

cheruv: OP,don't you think those states you listed should secede and become republic of S.Nigeria? I think the costitution of Nigeria does not give room for seceding in the nearest future....it will take a big civil war to achieve that. We should remain one for our overall best interest. We should get the right leaders into positions so as to improve our collective welfare. and so should try as much as possible to do away with corruption. |

cozy7: Oga, u surprise me.....for d sake of your children's future, I beg u to plz look beyond your nose n say d truth.....Buhari is winning! I have not said otherwise. even my heading says "might". I deliberately removed benue from the list and made the list 11 because from intel, many of them voted APC. There is still a possibility of either candidate winning. Even if the conditions i listed there occurs, INEC is mandated to do a re-run which in my own opinion, Buhari should win as there are other conditions to be met then. |

Missy89: You are really bad at math and do not understand simple interpretation
You listed 11 states out of 36. which means there are 25 states left and the 25% requirement is for 24 states.

Politics › Buhari might not Win The Just Concluded Elections - Unbiased Analysis by tempest01(op): 2:38pm On Mar 29, 2015*. Modified: 6:09pm On Mar 29, 2015 |
There are two conditions to win according to the constitution. 1. Get the most votes in the elections 2. Get 25% of the votes in at least 2/3 states (which i have interpreted to be 24 states) including the FCT.
Lets say Buhari has the most number of votes........Lets analyzeFrom the results coming in, both candidates have surpassed the 25% mark in the FCT, so it wont be added in the permutation. From clause 2, If the candidate with the highest vote fails to achieve 25% in more than twelve (12) states, he loses. States Buhari might not meet clause 2 in1. Imo 2. Abia 3. Anambra 4. Ebonyi 5. Rivers 6. Bayelsa 7. Delta 8. Enugu 9.Cross Rivers 10. Akwaibom 11. Edo Losing out one more state, calls for a re-run. Disclamer: INEC is yet to declare any official results. All data represented here and permutations done here are strictly my views, use the information at your own risk. Opinions are welcome. http://9jastates.com/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=16&p=28#p28Missy89: You are really bad at math and do not understand simple interpretation

Is oro nation the whole of akwa ibom? It was expected that they will vote for apc. They decamped because they feel they should have produced the next governor. Trust apc to find aggrieved people and give therm a slot.
That's why they were given the deputy governor slot.
In general, pdp us winning akwaibom with a large margin |

mrsqueen: The Governorship candidate of APC in AKWA IBOM STATE have this to say. "We have in our hands 56 already compiled results by PDP. From our sources, INEC had already given electoral materials to PDP before now. What they do is filling the original results sheet and are now going around to return them to Electoral Officers at various units. In some Units, it is reported by our field agents that NO materials and INEC officers are seen anywhere near the polling unit". The crowd pulling APC Candidate for Akwa Ibom State, Umana Okon Umana at his Polling unit in Nsit Ubium Ndiya Ward 03-21-0004-01. Discovered that there was No result sheet for his ward. Credible sources at the unit told him that the Electoral Officer(EO) is with Sen Effiong Bob at his residence with the result sheet. He has however called for the cancellation of the entire elections in the state as there can't be any elections when there are no result sheets to record the election results. There is massive protest everywhere in Akwa Ibom State. Everywhere in aks? I beg to differ |
