BlueRayDiick: This one has nothing to do with any building blocking canal......
They are saying those people who built their properties without obtaining the required building permit approval ( which has been a ground for the government to demolish properties like the recent one at Trade Fair) should come and do the regularization to avert issues with the government going forward. Alright. Thanks for the clarification. |

$1.2m isn't enough to build a quality stadium. The nff doesn't have any fault in this. |

BlueRayDick: This is a good move by Lagos state government. This is more reasonable than demolishing people's building simply because of failure to obtain permits which is mere administrative infractions.
Kudos to the state government for choosing to follow the path of reasonableness eventually. If the buildings are blocking canals they should be removed, but the owners should be adequately compensated. Only the ones that don't pose any dangers should be left alone. |

Olu of Warri is such a funny title. Warri has three parts; urhobo part, ijaw part, and itshekiri part. The person who claims to be Olu of Warri rules over only the itshekiri part, which is a minority. So why is he claiming to be Olu of Warri when he doesn't rule over the whole Warri? |

Ibime: Mayor of New York controls a budget of $115bln
Tinubu controls a budget of $36bln
Make ninjas dey play Why didn't you put the budget of New York as a state. No matter what, it's still a downgrade. From being governor of the whole state, to being mayor of one city. New York's GDP is almost a trillion $, and the budget for the state should likely be over $300b. What's even the point of pointing out the budget, when it's likely the guy won't loot, because if he was a looter, there's no reason he'll be contesting for ordinary mayor after being governor not too long ago.🤔 |

US politics is strange sha. Cuomo, a former governor, is contesting for Mayor, for context, a mayor is equivalent to an LGA chairman in Nigeria. Even if they don't loot over there, doesn't he have any iota of self-respect? He'll now be paying respect to his juniors. Even in another reality, no Nigerian governor will ever involve in such downgrade. No level of sapa can induce such moves here. |

See otti wey people dey think say na saint. All Nigerian politicians are the same. Disgraceful that no obidient on this thread commented on this. Otti is bribing lawmakers to pass budgets, if it was done by another governor especially the governor of Lagos state, there would've been a lot of epistles here. The problem I have with some people here is that they do selective criticism. Anybody that fvcks up should be criticized, even if it's your party. That's what true criticism is, not turning the other way when it involves your side. |

All the low-life thugs that work for politicians are never brutalized by security forces, is it someone like sowore that will now be brutalized, if he's truly working for the government? That's some cia shit. Nigerian government won't go after anyone working for them irrespective of the gains they'll make from such optics.
Sowore has been brutalized, and chased by every government since abacha. Saying he's working for the government is nothing short of a conspiracy theory. |

The cognitive dissonance is high in you. PDP and Atiku were corrupt but you still want to vote for them while condemning others? Everything is black, and white to you. What a disgrace. If an exposed person thinks like this, how else do people expect the normal ignorant Nigerians to think/behave? |

BlueRayDick: I think Elder is posting those things as rage bait, he can't really be serious. I didn't mean to equate both countries or citizens directly . I mean both countries exhibit similar systemic flaws; weak institutions, policy missteps, tribalism, and toleration of corruption, basically I'm just equating the failures. With the possibilities on paper, it’s a shameful underperformance. With the resources India has, it’s nothing short of scandalous, and shameful that so much promise remains unrealized, just like Nigeria. Bigger map, same mess. Calling it a bigger Nigeria is not an insult under these circumstances. |
