What I’m saying is that Nigerian government have been largely complacent—or perhaps it’s more accurate to say that several of our leaders are actively colluding with external interests.

Ideally, our focus should be on addressing the root causes of our own problems here at home, rather than justifying or celebrating the escalation of events abroad—especially when such tensions could potentially lead to a third world war.

Yep. I am completely Indian. Never been outside India. Until a few years ago, I didn't know much about Africa, other than the bad things that the foreign media tells us. Then I got interested into geopolitics and realized that Africa would be a great ally against the Western imperialism. Much better than China that wants to outright fight the West and establish its own empire like USA. India and Africa, we both only want to be left alone so that we can grow our economies, we don't want to see the Western world fall, just want to grow strong enough so that we can negotiate with the west from a position of strength.

So I started reading about Africa from African news media sites. Started from Zimbabwe, then Kenya until I landed up on Nigeria and finally Nairaland. Opened my eyes to the fact that we all are facing very similar issues as nations.
