Theflint1: Yea, and it's a good thing, the state needs to push population outside the state, or work on a better spread. The population in Lagos is as much a burden as it is of benefit to the state, so I dunno why they keep complaining about the state's population when the guys handling the state haven't shown any real desire to push population outside the state. One would think that with their man at the centre there'd be deliberate efforts being made to push things outside Lagos, but it's looking like they're further concentrating things in the state.
I sure if Ibime express that desire to bring Lagos population down to 5M where Tinubu and e goons dey, dem fit ruff am up |

You’re doing a bad job marketing Atiku cause it’s obvious you and your principal is after your pockets and the desperation of Atiku like he wants to pick what he forgot at the Villa . I gave my reasons for saying that. Am I not right? What's the need of the dollar staying low when price of goods and services won't be reduced? |

Sportsweb: Facts.
Opposition needs to decide where they stand.
Do you want to dethrone this APC or not?
To dethrone APC, u believe atiku/obi ticket will do it even though atiku may become another tinubu. I rather dethrone this APC that has cost so much pain to Nigeria and gamble on a Atiku, who might also be terrible.
It's better to send message to underperforming presidents that they can be Removed if they misbehave than be arguing if atiku will be a a good or bad president.
If Atiku mess up too as president, come back together and join forces and send him to retirement too.
Nigerians need to have that absolute power to change governors and president as it pleases us, and watch them sit up. Flesh and blood didn't reveal this to you. You are a wise man. If only obidients will stop playing emotional politics.... They're just APC pawns at this point. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by TemporaryHansel(m): 10:19am On May 23, 2025 |
Theflint1: According to Wikipedia, Lagos' population in 1991 was 5.2M persons, and in 2025 it is 17.2M persons, that's like 2.3X population growth and not the 4X you allege...Lagos' population is not growing any more than Nigeria's average population, and I'd harangue a guess that there'd be at least 10 states that have since 1991 experienced a larger percentage growth in population than Lagos.
My point remains, how was Lagos pre-Tinubu, and how was Lagos at the end of Tinubu's tenure, leave how other governors performed and critique Tinubu on his role as administrator while he governed.
Lagos was independently administered by the Colonial masters before almagamation, which implies that way before Tinubu, it's a region that could have managed its affairs independently.
If Tinubu was governor of Osun State, and not Lagos, can you beat your chest and say Osun state would have today become a destination of choice in Nigeria? Big cities are big cities and they'd always be choice destinations...the governors of New York and California would always execute the biggest projects, doesn't necessarily mean they're pound-for-pound the best administrators.
Tinubu is president of Nigeria today, how has he fared? They know the truth. |

Try developing infrastructure, transport, waste management in such small space to cater for so many people. Go back to your state and let them breathe, instead you came to profit from what they are building and talking rubbish. You are telling people to go back to their state, why don't you return to your state first? |

People who supported Tinubu because he “developed Lagos” will always be a case study in unserious logic. Now Ibime’s here calling Lagos a small state, and I’m like, exactly! If Lagos is small, then Tinubu’s so-called “success” was in a manageable sandbox. How did anyone in their right mind think a man who only juggled a “small Lagos” could magically transform the entire chaos that is Nigeria? Let’s be honest: Tinubu can't develop Osun State if you hand it to him as a governor. His development can only happen in Lagos, and we all know why. But hey, keep chanting “he built Lagos” it’s cute watching delusion wear agbada. |

Theflint1: Excuses. People were migrating to Lagos before Tinubu even thought to take night bus there.
I simply stated that since 1999, Tinubu is arguably the worst governor in Lagos' history, and he ran the worst version of the city and did so right till the end of his tenure. People were already migrating to Lagos before Tinubu was even born. Don't forget lagos was a two time Federal capital. Comparing Lagos to other states will never make sense until you give the other states the kind of headstart and opportunities Lagos has had over the time. |

And let’s be honest: the only reason you support people like that is because you don’t live here. You don’t feel the consequences, so it’s easy to play philosopher online. Funny thing is, everything you say here is the complete opposite of what you post on the American thread. It's obvious Na but dem go say Na him hand Lagos blueprint dey Let’s set the record straight: Tinubu did NOT develop Lagos, and we won’t sit back while people try to rewrite history with vibes and propaganda. Lagos was Nigeria’s capital for 60 years. That alone gave it a massive head start in infrastructure, funding, and national presence. Abuja’s only been FCT for about 40 years and already, no state comes close - now imagine Lagos with two extra decades of federal focus. Truth is, Lagos was always going to be ahead, with or without Tinubu. They should stop dressing federal legacy as personal achievement. He inherited momentum, not built it from scratch. |

They are not running for president of their states. Based on their national pull and electoral performance an Obi/Kwankwaso ticket should obviously have Obi as the main man. Despite his national performance, most major Nigerian politicians still see Obi as a small boy. Do you know why? |

MonsieurCoder: You are somewhat right. The coalition can fail because Atiku underperforms in the North (declining popularity in the North) or in the South (voter apathy despite Obi). However, North has more votes than the south. In politics you play your best hand, always. It's also easier to convince southerners to vote Atiku than it is to convince the North to vote Obi.
raumdeuter asked you guys a question and no one answered. Which do you think is easier to sell to an average northener in 2027?
Atiku/Obi
Obi/El rufai
Obi/Kwankwanso
Obi/anyone
