Even if Nigeria breaks, there’ll still be cake -possibly more. A southern Nigeria unshackled from the economic and ideological drag of the North could be richer, more developed, and far more functional. Which, ironically, means even more loot for the same politicians.
So what exactly are they waiting for? Fear? Laziness? Stockholm syndrome?
Because it clearly isn’t strategy. They’re not protecting unity, they’re protecting a system that keeps them comfortably mediocre.

There are several factors why a state is not as academically good as others but that is not for Unity Schools to address.
Unity schools focus first on Unity. Its like having a world cup and exempting certain continents from it because they don't meet certain criteria of competitiveness

As a football fan you know many Asian, CONCACAF and African clubs historically don't do well at FIFA confederations cup , World cups and club world cup yet they have not been excluded from the tournament

Tahiti once conceded 23 goals in 3 matches but we still wont exclude Oceania from the tournament because they are part of the world

Your argument will be akin to saying until Tahiti/Oceania, Asia or Africa steps up to the standard of Europe and South America they should be excluded
